you knwo you're a band nerd when....
you broke your friend's door frame because your one arm is so strong from lugging around a french horn
you cna play the cadences from 4 years ago becasue your percussion friends taught them to you (and you're a brass player)
you met your best friends through a freak accident involving a rogue snare drum
you still finger the parts from music you haven't seen in years
hearing a certain song(s) makes you cringe, due to bad director experiances
you're trying to set up your sister, who goes to a different school (in band) with a guy from your own band
you're trying to set up yourself with the tenor sax to the front-left of you
you make your friends smack you when you describe the stands at a football agme in vivid detail - and say nothing about the game

You know you're a band geek when...
You have band class or anything to do with the band room at least 2 times a day on your schedule for school. (Guilty)
When you need consulting you ask your band director.
When you're bored, with nothing to do, instead of going to hangout somewhere, you sit and play your instruments for hours on end. (Guilty)
When you go on vacation you consider taking an instrument or more with you for the trip. (Guilty)
Each instrument you own has a special area in your room, like a shrine to band geekerism.
When you sit in the class just before band, thinking about what you'll do in band. (Guilty)
When you go to class, you ask the director afterwards if you can file the music and organize everything in the band library. (Guilty)

You know your a band nerd when...
-You don't leave the music room, they kick you out
-Whenever you pass a music teacher in the halls at school, they stop and have a conversation with you
-When you were upset about something, your band director pretty much gave you a speech saying 'Nobody messes with my trombones'
-When you get on the bus with your friends, everyone goes 'hey look, there's the band!'
-Your friend makes a treble clef out of the strap of her backpack.
Okay, I'll admit it. Every single one of them has happened to me....

you know your a band nerd if your uniform fits yu just nicely! i know my uniforms my freshman yr fit perfectly! and i hope this yrs(they're new) will be the say! they measured me for it so yea buddy!

* answer to hey band nerd (guilty! biggrin )
*you take your a freak as a compliment
*when you want to be just like your band diretor(very guilty!)
*try and get everyone from the music camp u attended to get together after camp and u do band nerd things(i am trying!)
*have a jam session at your best friends house the nite b4 music camp and you're all playing diff music(this really happened)

-go to a summer music camp
-love talking about band
-your life is band
-you can picture what the feild show will be like
-you can see the color gaurd routine
-keep calling you instrument your baby
-you prefer other band nerds to date
-you do research papers on band in englisg,history,and science(so guilty!)
-you cry when you see grad. band nerds go*even if u hated them*
-you fall in love with your best friends instrument(guilty!)
-you can laugh at every band joke made(even if it's not funny)
-you have nothing better to do and you think of band
-you are always asking love advice from fellow band members
-you fall in love with one of the guys from the section you hate the most(sooooo guilty!!!flutes hate trumpets and vice versa)

when you're dissappointed because you can't humm fast enough to keep up with the eightnote runs you're listening to off the concert CD
when your tongue moves faster than your fingers (double/triple tongue-ing) *can't spell*
from out of nowhere you start humming the hardest song you've ever played perfectly
you find a Bflat on the staff by playing along with the band while in your private lesson in the second farthest practice room
you frequently, randomly, and without notice stick a fist in the air and say "power to the band geeks!" then continue what you were doing
