Sensing the weakness in the male, Sarabi straightened, taking on a more dominant stance. He was a runaway, and weakened by his journey. She was no less ready to fight, but now she hoped to cowe him into running away or accepting her as dominant. "It is not for me to say what your future will be. King Mufasa is the only one who can decide that. Be warned, if you bring harm to any member of the pride, my lionesses and I shall hunt you down, and kill you." She still growled softly and her tail lashed in agitation. The normally calm, gentle mother-queen was now a fierce, ruthless lioness-queen. It would have appeared strange to someone who didn't know her, who didn't expect her to have this side, this iron-strength of will.

Jasiri shudderd at the intensity of female lioness. She knew she was just protecting her cub, but it scared her to see her so feirce. It almost reminded her of the Firekin. Oh, how she would hate haveing to go back there, after traveling all this way. And if they returned, this time for sure Makadari would make them slaves. She stepped out a little, next to Mwali. "You dont have to worry, miss, Mwali wouldnt hurt anyone." She nuzzled Mwali's side, trying to calm him a bit. She knew he was tense at the moment, and it would be the hardest of all for him to return to the Firekin. She glanced sideways at Koho and the two cubs behind her. The male one reminded her of Teule a little bit, maybe if they were allowed to stay, they could all be friends.

Mwali grammaced at the harsh words being thrown at him. So he'd have another pride hunting for him? Well that was just wonderful. If he wouldn't be accepted here he'd have to run futher. Going back to the desert would be suicide. Surely his father would track him down and kill him on sight. Mwali wouldn't stand a chance against his father- or any lion for that matter. Where would he go? This was the only land he had heard of that existed aside from his own, and he was lucky enough to have made it here alive.
His great head lowered a bit more, hiding the growing wince on his face. It was hard not to feel wicked now- blammed for the crimes of his pride it seemed. "If you will not take me into this pride- or at least allow me a few nights to rest- then I ask you to take my life now. I've no where to run, my father will have my life if I return for helping free these slaves, if I manage to continue running I will die of starvation." He lifted his head slightly, his eyes looking over the magnificant patterned lioness, Koho. She was beauful, her coat was so uneque, so soft... it reminded him of a sunrise nearly. "I've at least had the honor of seeing such beauty was was rumored of the golden lionesses."

((God I hate school, but I hate inability to check guild posts even more. ;-; In the future if I don't answer something within 12 hours feel MORE then free to send something my way.))
-The peace and tranquility had been broken, and it took the male longer then it should have to lull him from relaxed lounge to a defensive and protective stance. His eyes has carefully taken tally of each member of his pride that was within range of danger, before locking his eyes on the red skinned male.
His claws rest silently on the floor through the fuss, himself just as silent as the shower of chaos and words insued, interupting finally after the male's 'plea'. Accept him or kill him? He either was desperate.. or well taught. It'd been awhile since Mufasa had last seen his kind.. but the encounter hadn't pleasant in the least. They were clever.. clever and malicious.
Finally he nodded his large mane in soft thought, replying strongly.- "I can offer you a place to stay until your strength is gained enough to leave. At that point you can decide whether you'd like to stay.. and we, whether we will allow it."
-Taking a step away from his mate, he added lightly.- "Everyone should be given the chance to be happy and be where they please.. HOWEVER.. the safety of my pride is more important to me. If something should happen.. you'll only wish we'd killed you before."

Koho let out a growl to emphasize the king's words. She felt the red one's gaze upon her and her skin shuddered. She pulled the cubs closer to her body, grimacing internally at the thought of the male staying with them, even for a few nights. She bent her head down to whisper to Simba and Nala, "Be careful little ones, don't go anywhere alone with this Mwali. And remember, I'll always be within earshot if you need me." She bowed her head and nuzzled them both before raising her gaze and body to a dominant position over Mwali.

He sighed and turned his body, slowly making his way from the rock, "I won't trouble you... I'll sleep below the rock." How upsetting... he hadn't done anything and he was being treated like a criminal. The cubs he assumed would follow him. It must be frightening to be standing there among the lionesses and the golden king for them. Of course, they weren't a firekin like he was so he was sure they'd be accepted into the pack easier than he had been. He watched his paws carefully as he walked down towards the grass again, but his weakness was setting into his body. A paw caught a loose rock and sent him over the side of the rock onto his back. It wasn't a long fall but it was enough to jar him up quite a bit.

Wokovu blinked, watching how cruel the lions were to them. His little hope filled eyes soon lost their shimmer as he whispered to jasiri, though it came out a bit louder than he had though in the dead silence "Whats wrong?! i thought these lions were supposed to be nicer than the firekin!" he gulped a bit as his voice echoed around him a bit, slouching and quickly following after mwali. Maybe his mom was right, all lions were mean.
Yakuti blinked watching the scene as she finally got up the rocks. The fennec fox soon slipped over to the king, unnoticed by mwali and the rereating group, now normally she would have been scared out of her wits to be around so many lions.. but.. she had a mission. She troted over to the large lion, moving infront of him and clearing her throat to try to gain his attention. He looked like the leader.. so.. she'd talk to him.

-Mufasa watched the male and young begin to dispurse silently, letting his ears settled gently back. Harshness wasn't something he liked.. nor even usually supported.. but this young male had.. scared him perhaps? Surprised was perhaps the better word.
He hoped that things would be fine, and that everything would settle out peacefully.. but it was up to him to protect those that put their trust in him already. His eyes drifted downward as the small fox moved forward, before he nodded softly.- "Yes?"

Koho lowered her head with relief as she saw that they wouldn't sleep in the den. Perhaps she had been a bit overly threatening, but she had seen so much cruelty from the Firekin pride that every time she saw the red hide she cringed. Hearing the slight rock tumble she jerked up, peering out past the shadowy den, perhaps she should go check on him? She crossed over to Sarabi, being very careful not to step on the cubs and purred slightly, hoping that would be sign enough of what she was going to do. Stepping carefully out of the den's shadow and towards Mwali, she sighed a little, "Excuse me, Prince. I feel I owe you and your following an apology, I should not have been so cruel." She bowed her head for a moment, not able to hold her gaze down for long though, for fear ordered her to keep him in her sight at all times.

Mwali simply rolled to his belly, pushing up and finding a very thin patch of rock to lay himself on. His body ached and thanked him for getting off of his paws. His throat was still a bit parched but his belly was so full of water he couldn't think to drink anymore. He was hungry but too tired to even try to hunt. Everything just seemed to be going down the hole. These lions would never trust him. They were too afraid of his red coat to see past their own noses. He had shown every sign of weakness and tried his best to prove that he was passive towards them but nothing worked. A deep breath was taken and his great head was laid accross his paws, his eyes watching the green lands now.
A voice shook him from the daze of thought and he turned his head up. It was that beauful lioness... she had come to apoligize? Obviously the distrust was still there, she didn't dare keep her eyes off him for longer than a few moments. He forced an obviously fake smile to his face, softening his tone a bit, "I'm not a prince anymore so there's no need to apoligize. Anyone would have re-acted the same way. Even my traveling party didn't turn their backs on me for a good deal of time at first. I suppose the crimes of my former pride will scar her members for the rest of their lives."

She gave a light gulp sat, then stood again, tail swaying to and fro in nerviousness "Your.. highness." She began, timidly "I know the reputation of the firekin isn't a good one.. but.. mwali wouldn't hurt a fly." she blinked pausing "I've adopted the male cub you saw.. i know its strange. and then i started travleing with a cheetah and her two adopted lion cubs.. and then we were captured by the firekin." her ears twitched as she paused again before continueing. "Mwali, the lion you saw.., he rescued us. He took us out of the firekin den and in hope he could be free headed here." she sighed, finishing her short story, fidgiting a bit by switchign from paw to paw.
"When he first got here he was like a cub, runnign around and playing. He looked so free, and.. well. My point being, please don't judge him for his coat. Take it from a fennec fox who just a few weeks ago would have had a heart attack just talking to you.." she looked like she was near a heart attack, but still. she chuckled and tried to smile at the large beast, atempting not to shed all over pride rock. "not.. all lions are bad.. even when you think a group of them may be."

-He listened gently, a soft smile touching his face about half way through, his eyes gazing in the direction of the den mouth, where the male had left just a few moments before.
Settling comfortably, tail curling gently about him, he gave a nod and an apologetic smile.- "I'm inclined to believe your kind words.. and if they are true, then I'll be the first one to welcome your group to stay for awhile."
"We in the pridelands are always happy to share what we've been blessed with.. but on that same note.. if I were uncatious everytime someone appeared.. especially something as dangerous as a male lion, no matter what color pelt he has... then I'd be dooming my pride to danger that they've trusted me to protect them from."
"I do hope that your group is comfortable and happy while it regains it's strength here, and, as long as there isn't any sort of provocation, then you needn't worry about anything. As long as you're here, you'll be protected justly and with fairness."

Nala couldnt help but feel sorry for the lion when it fell, she had never really heard of the Firekin before and certainly she had never seen one before either, and all of that didnt really matter to her. Nala's fear came from the abrupt intrusion.. and everyone elses apparent distaste with the lion and his companions.
Although now the Kings words gave her some relief, she wished Koho was still beside her and Simba though.. the vacant space was starting to send a chill through her.

She shook her head with slight frusteration, "You don't seem to understand me. I don't fear you at all. I may have extreme distaste for your pride and their ways... you're old pride," she corrected herself before he could, "But that is not the main reason for my reaction. You are an adult male lion. I can understand wishing to rest a few days, but it is not very common for lion's of your age and gender to wish to serve under another lion. You should really think about traveling to an unclamied region and trying to start a pride of your own, even if it is small, I think you will be much happier then." Her speech concluded, the golden lioness turned to leave.

Jasiri just sighed and shook her head a Wokovu. "Maybe in time they'll see that Mwali just like every other lion. Playful, and caring, hes just like one of us cubs. They'll see." Jasiri watched as Mwali fell down, and was about to advance to his side when she saw the female go down. She could hear there conversation clearly, and thought it best to leave them alone. She could still see the two cubs in the corner, and made her way over to them, a small grin on her face. If she was to stay here, she might as well get to know these strange golden lions. She sat down in front of them, her ears slighty perkerd. "Hello. Im sorry if Mwali gave you a scare, hes really just a softy on the inside. My names Jasiri, and this is Wokovu." She nodded at the male cub behind her. "Theres also Teule, hes not here right now, hes probally down with him mom, Taka. Shes a cheetah, but hes a lion. And then there Yakuti." She could feel herself blabbering, and quickly shut her mouth.
