Hey. Nice edits. I especially liked the demon and angel wings suggested items you made. Very pretty and well done. I've done a total of, like, 3 edits, but I don't think I'd have the patience to do as many as you have. xd
(I also find it interesting to compare your Vincent Valentine edits to the one I did. It's cool to see how different people interpret the same character in a limited medium, like Gaia avatars.) xd

Heh. Don't know if you've considered this as a by-product of your thread, but you inspired me to make my own Sephiroth avatar edit. sweatdrop Edits are fun, and I hadn't made one in nearly a year. (Boy, they're a pain in the a**, though. xp )

I must say Lucca, you have inspired me to take up artistry once again, this time in avatar editing!
I'll be nice to add a few more pieces to my massive stack of unfinished drawings/paintings/CGs/3D models/Banners/Animated Sprites/Every other freaking unfinished thing I've ever began but not finished such as a music video, videogame, book, etc.
Hmm... Wow, looking back, I've only ever completed one thing, ever. My pencil portrait of Tony Hawk I got framed and hanging up in my house <3
Oh well, I'll try a nice avatar edit. See if I can't come up with something nice and sucky ^_^ I must say, looking at some of your pieces gives me a headache they are so difficult looking.
Too bad I don't have photoshop. Oh well, all of the same techniques from your guide apply to GIMP as well. <_< I actually learned quite a few things while reading that. Very useful, and very through guide. I now understand why your avatars look so authentically Gaian.
