(18>15, success again!)
(12-5=7Cp.)

Katare rejoiced, having made it up to the second platform successfully. He rested himself for a while, snacking a little here and there. After a few minutes, he began looking for another hill. He soon realized that there was no way up any farther than there... but there was another hill. Directly sideways, he saw the hill that he had wanted to go to before. The course was mainly just one where he would have to run fast enough that he didn't slide down the side of the canyon; towards the center, however, was a part where the slope became nearly vertical... "Perfect, just difficult enough..." Katare placed a flag with the number 2 on it into the center of the platform, and began to dash down the course. Any second now... "Shunshin no jutsu!"

(11<15 Failure...)

The jutsu failed, but Katare managed to grab onto the dirt before he fell a considerably large distance to the canyon bottom. He walked back to the second platform and sat himself down, thinking about what had gone wrong this time. Was it a chakra control problem? ...Maybe, I do need to work on that after all... But now was not the time to be thinking about chakra control training, now was the time to complete his current training. "Let's finish this already!" Katare began running the course yet again, hopefully for the last time of the day. He waited to get as close as he could, he concentrated on his chakra as hard as possible for him... "Shunshin no Jutsu!!!"

(9<15. Will I ever be able to finish the freakin' training?)

Katare failed the Shunshin yet again, and freaked. "Goddamn it, this is getting annoying!" He made his way back to the flag, and began throwing rocks into the river. Sheesh, I really suck at this... But who would I be able to ask for help from? Roy seems good with chakra control.. but I could never ask him for help. I'll have to ask Kinami-sensei, after her birthday. At that very moment, he went ballistic. "Oh god, Kinami's birthday! I haven't gotten ready for the celebration at all!" Katare was ready to go back to Iwagakure, and he definitely needed to do so very soon... But not before he finished the training. He began shooting across the side of the canyon... "Shunshin no jutsu!"

(10<15. If I fail one more time...)
Katare gathered the chakra in his feet, but once again something failed to click into place, and Katare began to fall down the cliff. "This is bad!" Katare was hanging off of a single clump of dirt, and it seemed about as reliable as a rubber sword. "Damn it... am I really this bad at Shunshin?" Katare did the worst possible thing at that moment: he looked down. It was probably 10-20 feet down to the next ledge, but to Katare it probably looked a lot farther. "Oh crap, this is very bad..." Right on cue, he retracted into his mind. Okay, don't panic, I'm sure that there's a way out of this situation. Katare began to analyze the area, and quickly realized that climbing was not an option. None of the academy jutsus were any help either... Wait, how far is it to the ledge? He figured it might be 7-9 feet to the other end's ledge, which seemed closer. Katare had come up with an idea. If I can plant my feet on the wall, I might be able to use the shunshin to get to the ledge!... But it's very risky, and I'd have to let go of the ledge in order to make the hand symbol. Katare was beginning to shake from nervousness; the fall seemed pretty painful, and it wasn't some kind of mission or anything. "Come on, calm down. Trust your abilities... Trust yourself, for goodness sake!" Katare tried his hardest to let go and form the hand symbol...
(1st roll is trust check. If 7 or below, fear keeps him holding on.
2nd roll is jutsu training check. 15+ wins.)

(2<15. To finish the statement:
If I fail one more time... I'll fall down and try again.)

Katare managed to let go, but stumbled with his hands and failed to form the symbol altogether. "AHHH!!!" Katare fell down onto the next ledge.. And, of all ways to fall, he fell on his front, like a cat without legs would. After getting the wind completely knocked out of him, Katare tried his hardest to correct his breathing, his only thoughts being in, out. in, out. in... Weirdly enough, however, Katare felt noticeably lighter now that he had fallen down. Perhaps having to constantly be cautious was weighing him down? Or perhaps.. yep, his backpack was missing. Still occupied almost entirely with the thoughts of breathing patterns, Katare looked up, and lo and behold there his backpack was caught on a branch that was growing out of the canyon. His backpack, his only backpack, out of reach at some un definable place in the middle of a long canyon. Katare has known for a long time that he wouldn't be able to afford another backpack for quite some time. Katare stopped thinking altogether, stopped trying to correct his breathing patterns, stopped caring how much danger he could be putting himself in or how much pain he was in already; instinct had taken him over entirely. He began attempting to run up the canyon... "Shunshin no jutsu!"

(16>15 FREAKIN' WIN!)

(7-7=0Cp.)
Katare felt himself shoot upwards at amazing speeds, and he also felt his hands grab onto a branch. Instinct finally let go of him, and he realized that he was right next to his backpack. "That was close... I feel exhausted." Katare awkwardly managed to slip on his backpack, then letting go and dropping to the canyonside on his feet. Feeling completely drained of energy, he rested his body for a few minutes.. before the full meaning of what just happened hit him. "Success! I really can do this jutsu!" Katare grabbed a flag numbered 3 from his pack and placed it into the ground where he was standing. But something seemed weird... Was the sun going down already?! "Oh, I gotta get back home!" Katare put his pack back on and sprinted down the canyon and back towards the village.

After reaching the meeting point which was Abunai Canyon, he took a deep breath as the view was great and showed the beauty of Iwagakure no sato. He wondered who the rest of his team consisted of. "Team six huh?" A thought raced through his mind as he wondered if the teams were just numbered or was it ranked for the best? "Maybe I came here to early...." he said as he witnessed no one else here yet. Looking at the village of Iwagakure which seemed small from up here only reminded him of his time through the academy.

The child stand there alone, as smoke begins to create a column, expanding from the ground up. The noise of wood, clacking against each other growing in noise. The smoke begins to diminish to nothingness as a figures shadow is revealed. Stepping out into the light, a person who is not much older than the gennin standing there watching. He wears a mask that covers most his face and extends to a beak, resembling a birds face. He spread his arms, showing rows of black feathers hang from them, flowing synonymously with the breeze. His shoes spread into points similar to talons, and the rest of his clothing fashion decorative feathers of different colors, mainly black. He poses with 'wings' spread in front of the gennin , not saying a word. After a few seconds pass, he moves from his pose to look down, seeming a bit suprised.

"Huh? there's only one of you . . .Where's the other two!? Well just wait here for the other two, O.K.?"

He stepped back a couple feet and made a hand seal. He stopped focusing briefly to look up and say,

"Oh ya, and when i appear again, act surprised."

With that he disapeared from sight.

Katagi couldn't even move when this guy appeared so silently as the only thing that gave his sound away was the sound of the branches...The smoke and the anonymous shadow even made it worse. Katagi stepped back as he still shook in fear of the appearance of this guy, who was he? Why did he even want to bother him? The shadow came closer to Katagi as he finally saw this guy...what kind of mask was that? "Who is this guy? Wings?" soon after the man spread his arms the soothing breeze calmed Katagi a bit as he took a deep breath. The being looked down upon the newly made genin as katagi himself looked up. "Hai...I was wondering about that to..." but soon enough the man vanished instantly. "oh...alright." He was going to try his best to get suprised again as he would need to put on an act for this as he already got surprised a moment ago. "who was that...?"

Krayte stand a ways away, looking down at the child. Standing atop a plateau, he could survey what it was people were doing in the canyon and who came in. He had expected his entrance to be more grand, but maybe the second performance would be spectacular.

"well the child seems thouroghly confused, wouldn't you say Deezers?"

A small black cat walk to Krayte's side to respond,

"You're calling him a kid? He's only a few years younger than you! And must you wear that costume, I have an urge to bat at you."

Krayte frowned and faced the cat and lifted the mask,

"Why am I accepting critisism from you? You're a cat."

With that he placed his beak mask back on and continued his stare at the gennin.

Crossing his arms he looked up into the sky wondering where his other friends were at. "I'm pretty sure Amaya and Haruko graduated...They must be here..." He said as he scratched his head in confusion. "Maybe they're lost...that must be it..." He shook his head as he was smarter then he was at the academy...those days sure was fun, but his genin days must be funner then ever. "How about Giglamesh-sensei and Keiko-sensei? Maybe i can help them in the acadamy some day..." A small smirk crawled upon his face. "Not only that but the genjutsu my old man taught me...i can probably beat giglamesh-sensei in a duel." he said with a small chuckle.

Krayte was just as bored as the kid seemed to be. He appeared back in front of the kid and stood in frount of him, slouching slightly.

"Ooh yes, im a bird, oooh, whatever, lets just start with you."

He sat down aside the child and called for a 'Deezers'. A small black cat then jump from a nearby tree into his lap. He stroke the feline's silky fur as he pondered a moment. As if he forgot why he was sitting there, he looked back down at the kid and snapped back to it.

"Alright, well, we can begin as we wait for the other two. Introduce yourself. I guess what i mean is, yes tell me how you want me to adress you, but there's another thing. Do not tell me who you are, but tell me Why you are. What compells you? What is your passion? For it is passion that makes all great ninja."

He made grand motions with his hands as he spoke, and did so with a stuck up attitude. He was clearly similar to one you'd see performing in a theatre, and made that well known and clear.

Katagi Was sitting with his legs crossed by the time Krayte appeared infront of him, he wasn't suprised like last time but he did catch his attention. When he began to talk he made the hand motions to express what he was talking about, for such a simple question it was hard to think of an answer. "Well...it may seem weird but I always wanted to be tittled as Tsuchi no Katagi when I actually become a succeceful shinobi..." A small smile came upon his face.

"Not just a shinobi gaining the jounin rank but one to be remembered through history as a great earth manipulating using shinobi...I have some jutsu's i want to use but they're so far away to use." He thought about what compelled him to become a ninja and what was his passion. "Even if this may seem weird but what compelled me to become a shinobi was not of being pressured to become a shinobi by my family but when I read about a Kazekage which dated long ago...Kazekage Gaara. He started out at such a harsh life and some how broke the odds of him gaining such a hard rank...Becoming the Kazekage when so many people hated him but he changed his life around with the help of his friend." Katagi stood silent for a few seconds as he thought about it even more. "Then again, it could of been due to the pressure caused by my family...i wanted to prove to my siblings that i could be a great ninja, I already graduated the academy sooner then they did. My dad was amazed how I was more like him when he came from the academy and he taught me a family jutsu passed down to him and his family side..."

"Another reason is that I want to protect my village, this is my home and I believe it's my job to protect it...to protect my memories and what I remember from being in Iwagakure no Sato..." He looked over to Krayte and his cat. "I'm pretty sure alot of kids wanted to be the Tsuchikage when they first get into the academy, but I stopped sharing that dream...I wanted to be my own self heh." He said with a small chuckle. "I have a feeling that most of the people who wants to become a Tsuchikage wants to do it for power or to become the strongest shinobi...but by all means I would take the rank if i was offered it...like i said before to protect my village."

Krayte sat crossed legged listening to the boy's hopes and aspirations. It was quite a speech which did intrigue Krayte, but the same could not be said for Deezers. He rest in Krayte's lap cleaning itself. Krayte looked down at him and frowned. With a slap over the head he spoke quietly,

"Deezers! Show some respect for the child! He's putting on a improvisational speech for us!"

The feline merely sneered at him and then hesitated before facing the kid, listening to him finish his speech. When it was over, Krayte picked up Deezers and placed him on the ground before he stood. He began his own dramatic speech, as he tends to do, even when not nessacary.

"Ahhh yes, brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! That is the thing you need to think about whenever you want to accomplish something. Think about how it would do your overall goal good. Then, anything can be accomplished!"

He paced around a bit more, his feathers hanging off his arms dangled around, and danced in the slight breeze.

"Now it is important that you tell me what you learned in the academy, so that we can begin training immediately. I'd be particular to a short demonstration of your skill as a shinobi."

"Training huh?" Standing up he stretched a bit as he felt a bit cramped up, Training from a guy like this must be a one time thing as he never saw him during his academy days. "It's been two years so it's been a little shaky..." Placing his two hands behind his head he remembered the great times he had there, as a matter of fact it wasn't blurry at all, he remembered it quite well as the images popped up into his head. "The first thing at the academy Keiko-sensei taught me the Henge Jutsu, It was pretty hard at first but i got it down though." He then remembered his Taijutsu training with Giglamesh. "Then it was the Taijutsu training...That was really tough...and it helped me greatly." Then placing a finger at his chin he knew there was more to the taijutsu training, he was there for a while. "Then we went over Attacking and Dodging...there was more students I noticed at the time, Amaya-chan and Haruko-chan was there also...But i was the only one to land a hit on Giglamesh-sensei which i have to say for myself was a pretty tough task." He said with a small chuckle. "Then we went over more Ninjutsu...Bunshin and Kawarimi...then it was the rope escaping and running from the Dinosaur as we practiced our Hiding and sneaking quietly abilities." He tried to strain more thoughts out as that was pretty much it. "Yeah and then ramen monsters attack as me, Amaya-chan and Haruko-chan went out for lunch...it was a genjutsu of course...and thats pretty much it."
