Kiera was dead in the middle. The grass was gone, only mud remained. And she laid in a puddle of a mixture of Asher spit and rainwater. Not exactly Kiera's most luxurious nap she'd ever had. She was curled up, too. Like she'd just been hatched or something. Although her actual skin was bone dry, the heat of her blood must've evaporated the moisture on her. However her clothes were still mildly damp.

*He ran over to her and slwoly grabbed her shoulders to shake her awake. "Keria... Keria... Kearia are you alright?!" He yelled scared he may have been to late. He placed his head on her stomach to see if she was breathing. "Please..." her whsiperd as he lisened.*

Kiera was reluctant to wake up for a minute. Then with a grunt and a cough up of water, Kiera's eyes flew open. She grunted again, and felt really groggy. Only then did she notice Shortstraw there, and jerked to sit up, accidentally crashing foreheads with him. "Ah, ********." She held her forehead, cursing a little. Then quickly picked up scattered clothing to cover her lack of it. Well, she was wearing clothes. Just not very much. She looked to Shortstraw finally, and laughed awkwardly, scratching the back of her neck. "Sorry about that." She felt like she had a hangover or something, just feeling like an actual piece of turd.

*He looked to her and hugged her* "Your okay!!!" He yelled happily laughing. He didn't care, he was just glad she was okay. "I thought you might be hurt, or maybe even..." He looked to her, "i'm so happy your okay though..." he didn't let go.*

Kiera hugged back, worried for a second that she might be getting him damp from her clothing, but eventually didn't care. "Pffft. I can't get hurt that easy. I'm Kiera." She smiled, let go, and looked around herself. "So this was where Asher decided to dump me, then." Her eyes thinned, and she quickly looked back to Shortstraw. She remembered everything from the training field. And she had a nice little chat with that man, in hell. Too bad it got cut short. "How long has it been since we fought that man?" She said frantically.

*He shrugged...* "well i remember veria biting me and i was suddnely alseep... i think asher said it's only been a day... but i just woke up a little while ago..." fact was though he did for the first time remember the stuff that happened.*

Kiera sighed in relief. If Asher said that to Shortstraw, then she'd know it to be true. "Oh good. I'm safe." She flexed her shoulders, they cracked a little. She figured that's what happens when you don't move from a position in ages. She cracked her neck too, then her knuckles, then her knees. God, it felt so good to stretch. She stood up, and stretched her back. Then swung her arms back and forth. "Feels like i just had one of those long naps i used to have to pass the days." She shook her head. "No, that was before i met you."

*Shortstraw nodded knowing she ment well, although he had a question, "two things i want you to ask trufully." He held up a finger, "one is what would have happened if it wasn't only a day? Two ties into one, what would asher gain? She did that on purpose for some reasion, and i don't think it was becuse of the man..." he glared, everyone dodged this up till now. So he was going to ask now of all times.*

Kiera paused a second, in the middle of stretching her arm. "Ah, well." She looked away. "I've told you some of this before," She insisted. " it's just that I have this deal to keep with Asher every two days. If i don't stick to it, then she's free to take all of my soul." She shrugged a little. "I'd be a lifeless husk of nothing." She answered his two questions, well enough. But probably didn't give him that satisfaction of a good answer. Not that she purposely avoided some things, or anything like that. "How about we go back to the castle? I'm starving."

*He stubbernly sat down on her so she wouldn't get up and he crosse dhis arms, "no. Not untill i know what that deal is. Neither of you seem to wanna tell me. And i'm tired of guessing...." he said the last bit sadly, "i just wanna know... i don't wanna loose you to asher..."

Kiera pouted. "Hmph. I'm not about to let something like Asher get the better of me. Especially since she's the one who's supposed to be my slave." She sighed. "I don't want to drag you into yet another mess. I've put you in enough already." She looked away imprudently.

*He looked down.* "So you don't trust me enough? I mean i've been fine so far, i've never even got hurt yet from anything by you. And youve alwasy been nice to me, why can't i know. Ahser is mine too now. Isn't it fair?" he didn't move however, he really wanted to know and wondered if he could fource it out of her, or work it alittle bit to find out on his own.*

Kiera shut her eyes for a second. Shortstraw was more stubborn than she thought. She didn't want to result to drastic measures just yet. "Life isn't fair. Shortstraw. That's just how it is. We don't share the same deal because we have the same demon. A demon shouldn't have two masters in the first place, she's breaking the rules." She still didn't look to him. "You've not got hurt from anything by me yet. I don't want to make that more of a risk." Her face contorted a little, almost reluctant to say, "You're special to me, you know?" Her eyes were averted away from him, stubbornly.

*He smiled and nodded as he kissed her cheek and then looked down with a blush* "I know.. and your perfict for alot of people other then little ol me. But you picked me anyways, and that really means alot, and i really want to know. Ahser wont tell me i've already tried, and if you wont trust me to know... then i have to live with the fact you may suddenly be eatten for real, and i'd loose you..." He replied softly.

Kiera finally looked to him with big golden eyes. "Pfft. It's not to do with how much i trust you, and you know that. You're just trying different ways to get me to tell you. Of course i trust you. That's a stupid statement." She blinked several times. "And it's as i said. I'm not about to let something like Asher get the better of me. I always know what to do." She smiled finally.
