Danny stared at her hand. She had never played poker. What was she supposed to do? She watched for a moment as others made "moves" or something.
So you set cards on the table. Alright.
Smiling happily, like she had just solved the sphinx's riddle, she carefully placed her Ace and the Ten on the table.
Clearly, she had the worst poke face at the table.

Junko chuckled as Cam puffed up. Looking down at her cards after.
Another bad hand...

Even Cam had to stare at the cards after he handed them out.
His eye twitched a little. What was that awful tune playing in the background?
Cam stared at Aksaja with a wondrous gaze.
 Merope has a pair of eights! Danny has a pair of sevens! Aksaja has a Full House! Junko has a high card King! Malodore has a high card Jack! Aksaja wins! 10 poker chips!All right, I think that's enough.A pair of hands wrapped around Cam, pulling it off of it's stool to take it's place. I think it's time I make sure no one's been cheating by dealing myself. Riley murmured, as the cards flew beneath her fingers in a shuffling motion. ((Sign-ups for the last game are now open!))

Moure had finally seen a spot open up in the Poker area, and had quickly made his way over there. He sat, then realized that apparently, the player next to him was Danny. She looked like she was very competitive right now, so Moure gave her a grin and said, "Looks like we're playing against each other, like usual."
Now, they just had to wait for the cards, and then they could begin. He was so ready to play.

Danny burned the corner of her card out of anger. How come she didn't win! Obviously sevens were superior to 9s and 2s. Right? ... Right!
Either way, she was happy to see Moure join her at the table. "Moure! I'm glad you've joined me, 'cause now I can kick your butt in this too. Just like scario kart," she said, nodding with satisfaction at the turn of events.
She was extremely happy to see Riley join them at the table. "Riley! Riley! Look at all the tokens I have!" Danny held up her little collection of tokens for Riley to see, like a little kid holding up golden star stickers. "I've been trying to figure out if you can eat them but I'm not sure..."

Merope tossed his cards towards the dealer, nodding briefly to Riley. That was the extent of it, though. He did not make a comment, though he couldn’t hide the quick glance at the others gathered at the table. Undead, monster, fire demon, fire dragon. Uggggh.
His fins pressed tightly against his back as he shifted in his seat, trying to scoot away from the more fire-aligned students. Merope kept his seat, however, doing his best to focus on the game to come.

Roch dropped down next to Danny the second he realized that games were going on. "Am I too late?" he asked, looking at Riley. "Cuz I'd love to play one more game!"

Once the cards had been shuffled, Riley cracked her fingers and handed them out to the players. Please don't eat your tokens, Danny. You won't be able to hand them in for prizes later. She gave Jericho a wink as she dropped his cards in front of him, and nodded at Junko. Much, thank you.I assume you all understand how to play? So let's begin.

"That's very good to hear, then!" Junko chirped as she took her cards, sorting them in a way that was easy to read. Oooh! A pair of kings! Junko cheered to herself and wiggled in her seat. Her luck had finally turned around! She took the five of hearts and put it down.
Eh...why not. She slid the two of clubs away as well.

With his position secured, Jericho looked up and smiled to Riley.
"Thanks," he said as he took his hand. Giving a quick glance at them, he noticed that.. yet again he ended up with something pretty dull. It seemed that cards didn't tend to like him as much as dice did. But he supposed that made sense.
Thinking it over, he tossed out the Ace, Seven, and Two.

Two, three, six, eight, queen, Merope thought to himself, his trimmed claws tapping the velvet tabletop. As inexperienced as he was with poker, even he could tell that this was a bad hand. His luck, it seemed, was bad enough to affect such a simple game of cards.
He resisted the urge to bite them, to throw them down on the table and walk away. He fished out the two and three, sliding them towards the prom queen king halfheartedly.
