Roy was a bit taken back but at the same time not surprised to see Oni burst into a raging sprint towards him. Roy pulled back his arm that he held out in front of him to take a more defensive stance. Roy jumped to the left as Oni's right arm swung down. Roy slide a bit before extending before of his hands outward. Five yellow rings flew out of Roy's sleeves and attempted to attach to Oni to restrain him. If successful, he would fall harmless to the ground where Roy would be able to hopefully calm him down.

A silhouette leaps from rooftop to rooftop through the daylight in the great city. The figure is a young teenager standing with a slender build at five feet and three. She has dark green long hair, and red eyes with one stripe in both of them from the right to the left. She is dressed entirely in black, wearing a long black cloak-like jacket (with a white collar) and black pants tucked into black boots. Underneath her jacket wears a black undershirt. She has cloth wrapped around her head and face only revealing her eyes. She leaps through the air searching for her clients location. She swiftly dashes through the street with such speed that she is hard to notice and passerby on feel a gust of sudden wind. Getting into heaven was the easy part but she hope this wasn't a waste of her time a; demon alone in a heavenly city with her kind if power was just begging for trouble She finally found the location her informant told her about and walked up to the door. She scanned the wall keeping an eye on the runes for any magical attack or slight change in their current state. She was pretty sure she would be fine so after physically checking wall to make sure she stepped forward and slid the thick metal door open, checking for guards before she moved into the marble-floored corridor. Candles flickered on their wall fixtures as she crept along, sticking to the shadows when she could find them in case any celestial guards were lurking. It wasn't that she was a wanted criminal but her reputation as a top notch mercenary, had earned her quiet a few enemies. She entered the room at the end of the hallway, thus far encountering no guards, concluded the guild house was safe and no one would know she;A demon would be there. She took the time prier to coming to make sure her powers were significantly suppressed;she wasn't defenseless mind you but is rather limited. She took the time to stretch her limbs and check her equipment. She sharpened her knives and reapplied their poison and after a brief flex of her natural powers she left the room she was in by way of a secret passage and came into the training area. She saw a man wielding a chain and sat and watched.

Lord Tathian Vanguard of the Legion of Nazareth

User Image Tathian spun into a second movement and the chain wrapped around his body before whipping out like lightning. This time more of the fifteen feet of chain was used and struck a wall causing sparks and a ringing like bells. Just as quickly as it was swung it was withdrawn, then lashed out again. If not for the sheer brutality of the weapon and the movements it might have been graceful. You see, even in mere training the vanguard wielded the weapon as if it was being used on his worst enemy. He was aware of the woman watching him but continued through an array of movements designed to be both offensive and defensive. With a final swirl that forced the chain to form a complete circle he came to a stop facing the demoness his expression nearly stoic. The eyes he looked upon her with were dark blue with iridescent golden rings and golden flecks.

”Might I ask if there is something I can help you with?”

Tathian's tone was clear and cool, informal but crisp. His eyes possessed dignity, honor, and a sense of authority. The man the woman faced was no human of earth, and he also was not a celestial. A demon was pretty much out of the question, though that seemed the only logical conclusion left. Tathian was from a different plane, a different universe, and this was reflected in the fact that he did not attack the woman on sight as a human or a celestial might have done. Still the woman was armed and wore the garb of someone trying not to be noticed, a difficult thing in her garb given the very white and silver nature of this world. Still his eyes watched her, his manner that of a resting predator.

The uncommon stillness with which he addressed the woman in question, his eyes almost unblinking, his body completely still without shifting was aimed at unnerving the woman. It was something drilled into wilderness trained vanguards a way of handling unknown predators. The method of stillness also lent well to the initial moment of combat, his muscles were coiled like a snake the stillness enforced by that tension. The only sound at all was the still and steady rhythm of his breathing as he awaited her answer.

Sabriel Megalith

[ Portal Gateway > Yabbashael ]

Once Citel was beside her, she turned to the guards who were now commanding their attention.
Hoping that Citel would be smart enough to keep his mouth shut and let her do all the talking now that he knew what she was, she stepped forwards towards the guards.
She posed so that they could see her bare wrists and the palms of her hands as she looked up at them.
They need not worry about finding weapons on her, as she wasn't carrying any because her fans were safely tucked into their pockets in the bag at Citel's feet where they'd come through the portal.

"My name is Sabrielian Liraela Megalith. Queen of the Megalith Monarchy and Princess of the Fairies. The man that accompanies me is Citel of Rosewood. I have been informed by the angel Micah of St Annes that I may find the imperfect angel Lucas within this city."

If there was one thing that she'd learned could work time and time again it was name dropping.
Mentioning both Lucas and Micah were sure to get her further than simply saying that she was the Queen of a motley group of assassins and the Princess of a race that was well known for it's retreat to it's own realms.
Hopefully the pair would be happy with her explanation crammed into a nutshell.

Rabid Smurf_x_

"..........."
Sabriel and Citel might think the guards were slow in how they simply stared down at them. The unseen tension would build, growing concern sure to tug at the back of the Fairy and her new-found companions mind. The first guard would turn to the other guard and nod, stepping back as he silently allowed Sabriel and Citel to step forward.

"Yes, Lucas is here. However we can't simply let you meet with him. It would usually take much longer than this to verify your clearance but we've gotten word from St. Anne's Guild that your backgrounds check out. Welcome to Yaabashael, your Highness. Please, we shall escort you to Sir Aaron's estate. He overlooks this entire Capital and will perhaps allow you audience with Lucas."

The second guard would nod and begin to walk towards Aaron's Cathedral, guiding Sabriel and Citel through the beautiful city made of churches.

She could see it in his body language he was poised to attack if need be.She respect that aspect of him being prepared and somewhat informal in his tone.He had to be the man she was told about there was no mistaking it,even if his form was mundane.Even without her eyes she sensed nothing of an angelic power, or a demonic miasma but it was clear he wasn't human or anything she had encountered be for.She spoke though her mouth was covered and her lips did not part to make words but in the mans mind he heard her words clear.

"You are Lord Tathian correct?"

She would have bowed, but any sudden movements may cause the man to attack. So she simply let her self stay perfectly still and stare the man in the eyes. She felt no emotion whatsoever and simply waited for his answer.

Lord Tathian Vanguard of the Legion of Nazareth

User Image
”Aye, I am he. Yet you have me firmly at a disadvantage, first you have my name, and second you were obviously looking for me. Might I see the field leveled, perhaps you should share your name, and your purpose?”

The words were spoken in the same cool, calm, informal way, but a slight almost imperceptible shift in his posture, revealed by the rustle of his mythril chain would reveal a heightening in his level of readiness. In short the vanguard shifted just so to be offensively and defensively neutral, a fluid position from which the chain could be whipped to intercept attacks, or ensnare the enemy. Tathian was remarkably sure that he did not know this woman, a point which could only be proven if she was not a planes walker of the greater chaos known as the multi verse. In his brief time on this plane he had discovered that it was akin to a shattered plane, a fragment had formed of light, called heaven where he was now standing, a fragment had formed of evil and was so called hell, and a fragment probably the original made up the world of earth. Shards floated around these three major fragments, some for shadow, others for fire, wind or water. This realm was a reflection of the greater truth which showed the multi verse in much the same light.

A shift in the wind and the angle of light caught his hair, and caused the gold around and flecked through his eyes to shine naturally bright, both the ring and the iris reflected this gold while his eyes were themselves a piercing and dark blue. Sharp eyes caught the silvered edges of oiled knife hilts, well cared for weapons. Given her garb he placed her as a bounty hunter, maybe an actual assassin for hire. Not a position thought highly of by the legion, though they had their shadows and their wraiths. Carefully he unlocked the spark of his planar magic and drew in the planar essence if Illuria a frozen waste of a shattered plane. He gathered its power and waited preparing to shift the plane of battle to a more familiar turf especially if this womans purpose was upon his life. A goal he would make her regret setting.

Janus only sat there as Kira nonchalantly explained the situation to him, and after hearing that Heaven and Hell had teamed up yet again to search out the Virtues that were hidden away made Janus fear that the sins had been freed. "Why are you searching out the Virtues for such a problem? The only reason you would need to find them is if the Sins were freed. And I personally sealed them all away in Hell's Ice!" Janus was getting more and more confused the longer he stayed with Oni and Kira. If he was going to figure out what what going on he would first have to stop Oni from killing this stranger that seemingly had information that Oni didn't. But if that were the case why was Oni trying to kill him from the moment he saw him? Why would he not sit down and listen to this man? Just who was the man Oni was fighting and what had he done to invoke such a reaction from the Leader of Hell?

Oni would land and snarl as his claw cleaved through the air where Roy had been standing. As the rings flew towards him Oni would point his claw towards the ground and launch a sky blue orb of energy towards the ground mid way between Roy and himself. The orb would explode in a bright flash and as the light subsided the rings would be revealed to be trapped in a chunk of ice. That was the power of a summoners energy cannon. Harnessing the power of a particular summon to fire an orb of their energy that explodes and brings forth that element in a multitude of various ways all controlled by the summoner when fired. With a chunk of ice now between the two of them, Oni would pause for a moment and look at the distorted face of Roy and in a snarl yell out, "How did you get free!?" Not having a clear view at Roy would prevent him from calming down, Roy didn't have long to prepare himself before Oni were to start his next onslaught. Would Roy be able to call the summoner to his sense's before then?

She spoke calmly.Looking him in the eye seeing his power composition change. The lines in her eyes became more profound and she let some of her power pick up as well.

"I am the Master of the Jagan....Yosuzume Yakuzain. Though I am an assassin by vocation I'm not here for your life.I still would like to spar with you, after we finish our conversation but not before hand.My purpose in seeking you was simply that I want to work for you a short while."

It was a show of respect to grace him with her grand epithet. Jagan translates to Evil Eye ,a largely feared and respect title among both high demons and angels.Only a person who was certain they could defend their own life afterward would even utter it.The fact they were in a heavenly city and she had no back up only spoke that she was completely confident she would be able to defend herself from harm.If arena wasn't empty it would have resulted in a massive attempt on her life.,Should the man try to capture her and call the authorities she would have a hard time leaving the building much less the entire city. The field was far from level as the man had said. She had placed herself on the low ground from the beginning it was up to the man in front of her to decide the events that were to follow.

Roy stood there not understanding Oni's question. "Freed?" Roy was confused, and on top of that was unaware of what had happened between Oni and his father. Roy extended his right hand before pointing a finger at the ice that was now between them. Roy fired an compress beam of superheated energy to cut through the ice before the whole thing shattered. Roy then quickly threw up his other arm in an uppercut motion releasing his flame wave technique. A massive wave of fire swept over towards Oni's direction. Following this Roy also jumped into the air doing an axe kick for another flame wave to meet the other. The flame wave made a plus sign now and rushed to meet Oni head on.

Unseen words seemed to be crossing between the guards and Sabriel as Citel looked on helplessly. All of the politics and titles were going way over his head, but it appeared that the guards were giving them exactly what they wanted. Always getting exactly what you want was never a good sign...it usually meant they were trying to play you.

"That would be wonderful, thank you!"

Citel beamed at the guards before suddenly looking over to Sabriel, a sudden doubt in his mind as he remembered that she didn't like when he talked blatantly. Had he said something wrong yet again? Or was he in the clear right now? The guards seemed nice enough, and it was a step in the right direction, so what harm was there?

Should Sabriel accept the guards offer, Citel would quickly fall in step behind the leading one, following him to the estate. The wondrous churches that stretched high into the sky were not lost upon Citel's eager eyes as he soaked in the view. The glorious stained glass windows that sent colorful lights dancing in the streets seemed fanciful to him. How could there be a place with this much beauty? It even surpassed that of St. Anne! Citel could easily lose himself here for many a year and not realize that any time was passing at all.

Little did he know that he was much closer to the mark than any would dare to guess...

Sabriel Megalith

[ Yabbashael ]

Sabriel's eyes narrowed a little at the guards as she looked up at them.
She didn't like how long they were taking to come to a decision.
Had she said something wrong? Did they know she hadn't given them her full titles? If they did, what good would they be other than being a waste of breath when the two most important ones (the ones she'd given!) were surely more than enough?

Biting down on the inside of her left cheek, she adjusted the way the straps of her bags were sitting on her shoulders and followed close after Citel and the leading guard.
Maybe she should have mentioned that Lucas was a long time friend of hers… But then again, how many human years or fairy years or heaven years had that been? Five years in the human realm could easily be five minutes up here… She knew from experience that it was five days in the fairy realms and even then, she'd never kept track of exactly how long she and Lucas had known each other.
If there was one thing that really put her on edge though, it was the fact that she was being taken to an estate she didn't know to meet a knight she'd never heard of, that from what could tell held a lot power over someone who held a lot of sway over what happened in heaven. Also, whoever gave a KNIGHT rule over the capital city? An outlying township yes, but the sensible thing to do would be to put a Duke in such a seat of power.
None of this seemed right to her and while it wasn't her duty to get to the bottom of it, she was not going to be a pawn in some power game.

Focusing on the back of the leading guard, she reached down and rubbed the top of one of her fans thoughtfully.
She was so deep in thought that she had missed what Citel had said entirely to the guard and was not paying as much attention to her surroundings as she ordinarily would.
It wasn't until they were passing a building with a sign out the front who's name she recognized did she snap out of her thoughts.
"The White Hart…"
Stopping in the middle of the street, she tilted her head to one side and folded her arms across her chest, assuming a "no nonsense" expression on her face.
"I have some questions and before we get to this Knight of yours, I want them answered."
Her voice was as no nonsense as the expression on her face and it would have been quite easy for someone like Citel to envision her with her hair done up and adorned with pearls, diamonds and sapphires, in a long navy blue dress with ornate silver embroidery around the bodice and a gauzy train of silver embroidery. Her wings fully extended to all their glory with a glittering silver crown perched atop her head and a sceptre of equal beauty in her hands instead of what appeared in front of them… A young woman in a white sundress with black leggings and black ballet flat shoes, her hair pulled into a braid laced with a ribbon.
As a Queen first and a Princess second she felt that she was in no way presentable for meeting someone of a foreign court.
"What that means for you two, is that we are going to stand right here until I get these answers, or I will be making it VERY clear to the next person I meet who ranks higher than a Viscount that my stay here in Yabbashael has been less than perfect!"

Lord Tathian Vanguard of the Legion of Nazareth

User Image

Tathian settled slightly, the woman had proposed working for him for a time, an interesting proposition given that he did not know her or her abilities and could only guess at what job she might wish to do for him or the legion. Tathian flicked the chain up out and around laying line after line of it in a very particular order till it formed a ten foot circle with a strange symbol in its heart. The symbol, was a replica layed out in mythril of the symbol inked in the back of his hand. The symbol would allow Tathian to retreat instantly to his own pocket dimension, and bring her with him if she was standing inside of it. Not an attack or a defense, merely away of disrupting the flow of battle if it turned into such. The woman while admittedly an assassin seemed to be something of an honorable type and had no open contract on his life.

”Yosuzume Yakuzain, an assassin you say, I am hard pressed to come up with a purpose I could put an assassin up too. You mentioned the Jagan, specifically as if it was an order or organization, I must admit I am not familiar with that name. At any rate I am the Lord Commander of the Vanguard of the legion of Nazareth. What is it you had in mind that we should discuss?”

Tathian stood calmly still within the circle his right hand open and stretched held so his palm and thus his tattoo was oriented in the same direction as the circle. Forethought made it a not uncomfortable experience. His position within the circle was off center, in such a way that most of the circle existed between the two potential allies or combatants. While he maintained the greater circle he was unarmed and at a disadvantage. However his ally would have to move into the circle to attack him with melee and he could be gone chain and all before any ranged attack passed into the circle. Tathian was still in something of a bind for she had asked to talk business while he had no business that he could think of with an assassin of any rank or file. It dawned on him that it would be worth asking the question bluntly, perhaps in answering her tone or physical mannerism could be used to trace a deceit.

”Further I am curious what work it is you see yourself doing for me, I can not think of anyone that I would like to see dead. Nor can I think of anyone interested in taking my life for which I might hire you to hunt the hunter. So what job, or work do you foresee doing for my person and at what expense to me?”

She took a quick moment to make sure she was standing inside the circle. She was already inside his mind and with each passing second she could "see" more of him

"Your no manner of demon or angel and calling you human would only be an insult. That only opens up the possibility of a being from another dimension or other plan of existence.I merely confirmed that by speaking of the Jagan, which is not an organization nor an order but a power of which certain demons and angels would have immediately set all their resources in my capture or destruction after hearing it.More over they would have known not to look me in the eye such as you have been doing for the past couple of minutes. You ask what I would do for you if you should accept me.The simple answer is to give u information about this world and its comings and goings. As for expenses ...I ask for no monetary compensation at all.I only ask for you to challenge my skills....train me if it is not inconvenient."

Lord Tathian Vanguard of the Legion of Nazareth

User Image

The gold in his eyes swirled, as the symbol on the back of his hand glowed in harsh relief to the light of heaven. Link by link the chain took on the same light spreading out from his hand until the symbol and circle was complete. Planar magic twisted and snapped hard around them and then they were not standing in the courtyard anymore. Deep ashen gray marked the horizons edge and the edge of the demi plane. The sky over head was deep blue tinged with a little green, and the earth they stood upon was stone, laid out in a courtyard marking the sign of the legion. The planar shift would cause a moment of gut wrenching dizziness in pretty much anyone who didn’t plane shift on a regular basis.

Non magical supernatural powers were suppressed and the plane itself was twisted in such a way as to prevent the touch of powers granted by other planes of existence. The shift itself was smooth for Tathian as he did this pretty much daily. The courtyard they stood in now was connected to three seemingly separate buildings. While behind him stood a huge stone archway housing a massive iron portcullis. The three buildings each served a separate purpose, to his left a low lying flat and utilitarian type of building served as the armory, behind his guest a larger but casually designed mansion served as the residence hall. The final building was half barracks and half meeting hall, it had two clear stories the upper level was residence, while the lower was a mess hall and a meeting hall.

As a lord of the Legion he was granted permanent staff for his travels all of whom resided here manning the various buildings. Each staff member had the ability to return to Nazaris at pretty much any time they wished. This was one of the reasons he had strived for his position, the other was the freedom to go anywhere and do anything he pleased. The assassin would still stand facing him, cut off from her connection with her home plane entirely. It should come as almost no surprise that she found herself on another plane, she had after all pegged him as a planes walker. He said nothing though simply waited for her response to their arrival.

Arcanum
"War, War never changes no matter who is fighting, what it is fighting, how the weapons or devices change it is war all the same. I am done fighting..."

→The heavy breathing of the hounds gave off smoke as their muzzles laided open ready to move. Arcanum stared in to the beasts eyes with a faint smile on his face waiting to see if they were going to make the first move. Spinning his staff a few times he brings it against his forearm and holds it with the inside of his forearm. Yes it seemed it could not spin it around and slash though them but he could sure as hell priece their skulls with a thrust from this weapon. His wings quickly fading back into energy giving him less things to worry about and give these beasts a chance at truly striking. This was more fun to Arcanum than he would let anyone know, he may have hated fighting but when you do nothing for so long anything becomes your entertainment.

Finally sick of the waiting he beckons the beasts to come at him as he starts to charge at them in a long strided jog. He would pick up the speed once he knew what the beastw would do to attack him. Thou of course the Hell Hounds charged at him one going to each side. Something he had prodicted from smarter enemies but they seemed to have some form of intellegence now. Now going into a run he starts to get his bounce steps as they start to get closer to each other. The one from the right toke the lead once the distance closed and leaped towards Arcanum. Pulling back his staff he waits till the beast gets close enough for him to get a great strike. Now within a two foot distance of Arcanum he lunges his staff blade into the jaws of the hound gutting it down the middle. Skidding back by the sheer weight Arcanum spots the other hell hound already in the air. Swinging the massive beast on his Staff Blade he uses it as a club smacking it into the being sending it away rolling across the ground. Arcanum had pressed the staff against his body and turned his hips using all his strength to use the large beast as a weapon. Rolling against the ground only for a second the Hound quickly raises to its feet and starts to charge at him once more. Dropping the staff along with the hound Arcanum builds up his energy into both hands compressing them down as quickly as he could. Claws extended the beast leaped ready to slash the fallen apart. Eyes burning crimson Arcanum raises both hands unleashing the lightining looking emergy into the body of the beast. But it did not stop the Hounds foreword movement towards him as it crashed into him. Both bodies skidded across the ground from the impact. After clearing a few meters Arcanum pushes the massive beast off his chest and starts to get up. The damned things were heavy and it had knocked the air out of him from the impact. Brushing himself off he notices his shirt ripped and tore with blood stains. Openning up the shirt a bit more the claw marks from the beast were their fresh and now stinging.

Cursing alittle to himself at how the thing had did this, he quickly threw it aside walking over to his staff. Pressing his boot against the forehead of the hound he grabs the middle of the staff with his right hand. Pushing down with his foot and pulling up with his right hand he frees his staff from the hound's skull. His hands stung slight at the energy had used but he ignored it as he brought his staff to his face. The smell coming from it was just awful. It was a mixture of brimestone and wet dog. Oh yes that was just great he was going to have to clean deep into this thing to get the smell out. Turning around he starts to extend his wings out and launch himself into the air once more. He would head towards the main source of energy in the area and destroy it quickly←
