"A railroad car?" Misty asked, looking up at him.

"Alright then, hop in you two." Typhoid said as she slid into the driver's seat. As she did so, Sandman slid into the passenger seat from the cracked window.

C.J. smiled a little bit, blushing a little embarrassed. "Well, it's kinda what Arell, Dundee and I've been using as a home base. Just be warned, it's kiiiiinda messy right now." he said as they bumped across a railroad crossings. Antigua looked back with a knowing smirk and turned off onto a dirt road that followed into the railyard. She somehow knew what he was talking about by that railroad car. It was a bumpy ride, but they soon came up on what looked like a blast from the past: An old looking circus train . . . hell, one could even see the steam e- wait, this looks different! It looked like a regular train last time we were here! What gives?!?

"Marvel got bought by Disney, this was the double for the train from Dumbo . . . not like they were gonna use it!"

What the fu- Really, man? Of all the movies, we picked THAT one to borrow from?!

"We didn't pick it. Disney wasn't using it, we needed a train. So we kinda . . . borrowed it."

So they don't even KNOW?!?

"I sent 'em a letter! They never got back to me, so I thought it was okay . . ."

Oh, BROTHER . . . don't tell me, you got Dumbo, too.

"What can I say? He works for peanuts! Ba-dum Psssshh! But in all honesty, no we didn't."

Oy . . . we just got more cannon fodder for Mxyzptlk, you know that, right?

"By the way, we might also be getting a cannon on loan from Pirates of Viridia. Might be in the mail."

Jeeeeez . . . .

Meanwhile . . . (I'm just gonna leave the lunacy behind here), the two mobsters shrugged and got into the backseat of the car.

Misty glanced out the windows as the cab drove down the bumpy road. She couldn't help but stare at the carts as they passed by. She lived in rural areas most of her life. In houses so old they were falling apart around her. She shouldn't be so skeptical to think that a train cart was...enough of a home. But...she should probably thank her previous relationships for that one.

Five star restaurants, presidential suites, summer homes on private islands, private planes....

Typhoid waited for the others to get inside, then carefully pulled out of the garage and headed down the road easily. There was no need to draw attention to themselves this time. Especially not with the high-class crime boss they were about to see.

"Five star restaurants, presidential suites . . . summer homes, private PLANES?!? Writer, I don't have a shot in hell!!"

Of course, all things weren't as they seemed. They stopped at a railroad car that looked like it was at one point the property of the army, however it seemed a little different . . . okay, a LOT different. It had more or less a Margaritaville-inspired paint job. Antigua stopped the car as C.J. pulled out the cab fair.

"Well, sorry it ain't much, but it's home." he said as he got to one side of the car, pulling down what looked like a stepping block and placed it by one of the entrance steps. "Here we are. Not exactly the Ritz, but it's cozy." he drawled as he prepped things . . . however, he was spotted by what looked like a portly old man with a bulbous red nose . . . any film fanatics here would realize the resemblance to classic Hollywood drunk WC Fields.

"Well, m'boy . . . haven't seen you -HIGGUP!- around here lately. Where's Norville and that big guy . . . and who's the beautiful lady?" he asked as C.J. looked at him with a blush.

"Hey, Mr. Walcott. We're about to find that out. But she's Misty. We just had . . . a first date of a lifetime!" he said with a shy smile.

Meanwhile . . . the guys looked around. Both the two thinking about where these two were going to take them. Perhaps they shoulda stayed with Don Razolli . . . or would THIS be an interesting endeavour?

Misty smiled a bit as she stepped out of the cab and moved towards CJ. "I can definately say I've never had a date like that before." she agreed, then turned to give the other man a small smile.

Typhoid simply kept on driving. Luckily, the place she was looking for wasn't that hard to find. At least not in the financial district. The Iceberg Lounge was well advertised for the ritzy biz.

C.J. smiled as he put an arm around her. "Misty, this here's Jack Walcott. Mr. Walcott, this is my girlfriend, Misty." he said to the man, who smiled and bowed, removing his too-small top hat and revealing a bald spot, getting up the man smiled.

"Well it's a nice plea-HIGGUP!- err, a pl-HIC!- Uh, it's really nice t' meet you, my dear." Mr. Walcott slurred. C.J. couldn't help but smirk when he smelled the corn juice on his breath.

Misty couldn't help but smile. "It's nice to meet you too." she replied, leaning closer to CJ.

With a poof!Mxyzptlk landed on top of CJ's head.

"Hey there, cowboy!" he said. "Sorry to ruin ya moment again, but I got some info you might wanna pay attention ta! It involves yer Batfamily friends."

C.J. held on to Misty and was juuuust about to say something when POOF! The guy who looks like a bowling pin reappeared on his head, getting the attention of Mr. Walcott.

"My my, this hero business is bringing about some . . . interesting characters at best! Then again, this always happens in Gotham . . . be truthful I'd rather -HIC!- be in -HIGGUP!- Philadelphia." Mr. Walcott said as C.J. laughed.

"Hey, cueball. Get down off my head a sec so we can talk." he said as Mr. Walcott stood there, watching the impish figure with great curiosity.

Mxy did so, and he folded his arms.

"This city? It's protectors? They're gonna go up in smoke, kid. Gotham will be ashes and you won't have permission to die. Or so say the powers that be. I ain't even talkin' about that Black Lantern stuff, this is somethin' else." he said, and his voice, so much like Gilbert Gottfried's, was actually somewhat serious. Ordinarily, Mxy wouldn't have cared, but this? This had his full attention.

C.J. nodded. A serious look on his face as he stood there. "Dammit, so what they were talking about IS gonna happen. Mr. Walcott, Misty, hon . . . you too, Mxy . . . get on the train. We need a battle plan and by the sounds of things, we need it NOW." C.J. said . . . if Misty saw the look in his eyes, this was the same look that helped get her to the hospital, from the clutches of evil & from the cops. This was serious business.

Mr. Walcott looked concerned. "My dear boy, you can't surely be serious! We have our closing night tomorrow and head for Metropolis, Star City and New Orleans! Our line of work has no time for apocalyptic situations . . ." Mr. Walcott stammered as he boarded the train. "My office is two cars up. The boys essentially made the Caboose their homes, so come on. We have a lot to work on I'm afraid." he said as C.J. nodded.

"Big guy's right. We'd better get a move-on before we're all screwed." C.J. said, offering Misty a hand up onto the train.

"Well to be honest," Mxy said, moving into the train, "I'm makin' hyperbole. Gotham probably won't be destroyed, but one particular place probably will be. A certain place which you know pretty well, having gone down into it's little basement and all, if you get my drift. At the moment, all I can say for sure is that these bad guys are gonna attack that place in about twenty-four hours, give or take, according to the last forum posts. But still, given how sparsely that place is guarded... Aw, who'm I kiddin'? She'll probably lock it down, but I dunno how well that'll do against a crapload of mechs and stuff."

C.J. boarded with Misty, thoughts racing in his head. "I see. Y'know, one could really learn NOT to like those punks. Especially the one they call Rose. I wanna pet her on the head . . . hard . . . with a rock." C.J. growled as he got into Mr. Walcott's railroad car, the ringmaster himself seated at his desk as Benoit paced.

"Boy, this may be interesting."

Ya THINK?!?

"Oh, I think alright. I think we're gonna need a little extra help!"
PostPosted: Sun Aug 19, 2012 8:55 pm

Hey, is it okay if I know about what's goin' on here in the Watchtower?

Not at the moment, lass. Besides, you're perfectly safe up there for now.

...'Kay. Though I think Tim might need ta know...

SHADDAP already!

"My advice to you two lovebirds," Mxy said, "is to get your asses back to that particular spot, maybe try to get your friends to know. If not, I'm sure the Big Guy'll let 'em know somehow.

C.J. nodded. He had an idea! "Mr. Walcott, may I use your computer? I have to make a notification immediately." he said as Mr. Walcott got up.

"Why of course, my boy . . . who're we going to send from here though? I don't think -HIC!- we -HIC!- oh, ConFOUND these hiccups! I don't think we know who to get into contact just yet!" Mr. Walcott said as C.J. opened up the computer. He tried to turn it on several times and realized . . .

"s**t! We can't get through . . . tried to get onto the bat-network and we got scrambled, y'all . . . that . . . and some writers are NOT allowing this transmission to get through." C.J. growled.

"Writers? My dear boy I think you'd better get some rest. Perhaps we can think of a plan of action tomorrow morning." Mr. Walcott said. Well kid, I think they think you lost it.

"DUH!!!"
