She smiled and rested her head on his shoulder, listening to him and closing her eyes. She wasn't tired but just listening to him made her happy. She put her hand on the very top of her stomach, giving Nik room to rub.

He kept reading as he rubbed her stomach, her cheek warm against his shoulder. It was so easy with her, not like anyone else he had ever had. She made him happy even just being with him, and he just wanted to be with her in turn and take care of her.

~~Time skip a little over a month~~
Moya was sitting on the couch with a jar of pickles on the coffee table. Her stomach had rounded out greatly god she felt fat. She was watching Animal Planet as she munched on a Pickle.

Nik walked back in panting heavily, having just finished a run. Seeing her on the couch and hearing the crackling of the pickle he smiled, wiping himself off with a towel before going over and kissing her head. "Feel better now?"

She smiled and nodded, finishing her pickle. She stood up... No, rolled up off the couch and grabbed the jar, taking it back into the kitchen and putting it in the fridge. She leaned on the counter and placed her hands on top of her huge stomach. "It has got to be time for the baby to come out, I can't carry it like this anymore." Not only had her stomach rounded out because of the baby, but her arms weren't so thin anymore and the same with her legs. She looked more healthy you should say instead of a sickly stick.

He watched her roll with a small grin, finding some humor in all of this. At least at this point she was healthy. "Well I have to shower, and you have an appointment we need to get you to." Kissing her one more time he went upstairs, stripping down and heading straight into the shower.

Moya smiled softly and looked at the counter. She hadn't been able to jump on if for weeks, and she missed it. She sighed and waddled back to the couch, but she stopped right behind it and leaned over, groaning. A sudden pain hit her but she thought nothing of it. After it passed she sat back down on the couch.

Finished and dressed Nik came back downstairs, grabbing their coats and pulling her to her feet gently. "Alright, let's go get this baby checked on. Maybe if we're lucky, you'll be due soon." Though he doubted she would want to go through the labor process once she was in it. Pulling his own coat on he helped her into hers, taking her hand and walking with her out of the house and to the hospital, holding her hand. Luckily he lived so close by.

When they were more then half way to the hospital she had to stop. Another wave of pain hit her and it showed in her eyes. She bent over slightly to put pressure where ever the pain was coming from. But shortly after that she was fine and ready to walk again. "Alright, we can keep going."

Immediately when she had to stop a red light went off in his mind, his hand squeezing hers. Now he was almost worried, but he kept walking with her until they were inside and shown to an exam room. He had a feeling what these pains were. And if he was right she was not going to be happy.

((Yes I am stealing the name for the moment)) Doc Jane walked into the room and smiled at them both. "Alright, lets see how we are doing this week shall we Moya?" She checked her vitals and put pressure here and there on Moya's stomach, looking a little puzzled.
Moya groaned and bent over slightly. "Can you give me something for this pain? Its starting to bug me really bad." When the pain passed she sat up again, sighing.
"Oh Moya, lets get you into the right kind of room for you." She lead them to a big room with a real bed in it and handed Moya a hospital gown. "Put that on and then lay down. Today is your lucky day to have a baby." She left the room to get nurses to help monitor Moya and the baby.

So he was right. Keeping that in mind Nik didn't say anything as he walked with them, helping Moya change into the gown and then sitting in one of the chairs as he stuffed her clothes into a bag. Now all that was left was labor, delivery, baby.

Moya laid on the bed and couldn't relax. She looked over at Nik before another wave of pain hit her. This one was stronger so she curled up in a ball on her side and groaned. "Nik I'm scared." Her voice was choked while she tried to get through the pain.

That made him get up despite his clouded mind, going to her. Screw the nurses he thought as he crawled up into the bed, wrapping his arms around her from behind and holding her close. "I've got you Moya, don't worry." He rubbed her stomach lightly as he whispered to her, keeping her close. This was only the beginning of the pain too.

Moya grabbed one of his hands and sighed. A little while passed before another contraction hit her and it was as painful as the last. She squeezed his hand hard and groaned. "How long does this last Nik?"
A nurse saw Nik laying in the bed and almost made it through the door before Doc Jane grabbed the woman's shoulder. "She needs that right now, don't take him yet." She walked into the room and looked at the two before putting leg holders on the bed for later. "Alright Moya, I know the contractions hurt, but I need a scale. From 1 to 10, 1 being nothing and 10 being the worst out of all the pain you have ever felt, how are you?"
When the contraction ended she looked up at the doc and then away. "This feels like a 4 right now doc."
"Alright. I'm not going to make Nik move for now but in about a half hour he is going to have to get out of the bed for a bit so I can check some things." She sighed and left the room, pretty much guarding it from any nurses who would try to yell at Nik. Good thing her office was in that hallway.
