Out of the corner of his eye, Tidus spied Riku. "Hey, welcome back, you didn't get demolished!" He was going to slap the other boy on the back when he noticed his chest. "Or did you? That's not a bandage, is it?"

Matt (Above) flew down and ripped the cloth off, revealing the heartless symbol. "HE'S A HEARTLESS!" he yelled after dropping the cloth.

Linx starred at the bat. "The bat SPEAKS?!" she said suprised. She didnt know it was a student.

Yuffie felt something whiz towards her head and instictively ducked. "What the hell, Sephiroth, I swear--" she didn't get to finish.
"HE'S A HEARTLESS!"
"What? Where?" Yuffie turned. "Tidus, was that you?"

"Ouch!" Tidus jumped back. Something had scratched his hand and yanked off the cloth before he could. "Sheesh, Riku, you don't have to take it THAT seriously!"
Then he heard the voice as well, along with Linx and Kurasagi-sensei's. "Nope, whatever it was, it doesn't like me, either! Linx, did you say it was a bat?"
Buuuut, the cloth was gone. And what was that about a heartless?
Tidus stole a glance at the now uncovered spot. "Woah, Riku, where did that come from?!"

Yuffie didn't know what shocked her more--a talking bat, or what Riku had been hiding.
"Riku," She made sure her eyes held his before continuing, "You didn't change inside or anything, did you? It would be nice if that were just this place's idea of a bad joke, but if anything's going on for real..."
Riku didn't *appear* to be the one going beserk back at school, though she knew all too well things weren't always as they seemed. And there was still the one missing student to account for. 'Better to rule out one than have to chase both.'

"I don't know how the symbol got here. It appeared after I came through the portal. I don't feel any different inside either," Riku explained.
"How can we be sure you're telling the truth?" Matt asked. "Oh, and sorry for scratching you Tidus."
Riku looked at Matt. "I am telling the truth. I wanted to take it off, but oing so proved rather tough, so I took a cloth and hid it," Riku insisted.

"So, you're not a heartless after all," Matt said a little relieved. He wouldn't be able to fend off Riku in his bat form.
