Having come across no leads, or really anything for that matter, Steel and Alex decided to just scope out the area they had been before. Perhaps Flash and Batman had come back around and someone had seen them.

They didn't find anything in the Laundry Matt, so they began checking the buildings around it. Stopping last inside a Movie Rental store.

The two entered, and found the place rather empty aside from the....well, equally surprising limited variety of movies lining the shelves. Obviously this wasn't Blockbuster. Some...family run business or something probably.

Alex shrugged it off and headed forward towards the check out desk. Steel followed behind her.

Sitting behind the desk was the cashier, who wasn't paying one ounce of attention to the store. Dirty black sneakers were propped up on the edge of the desk, the seat was leaning back as far as it could go without falling over, and an old newspaper was curtaining the employee.

Alex rolled her eyes a bit. Though, she couldn't blame them. Probably didn't get any customers at all in here. "Excuse me..."

The page flipped with a rattle, and whoever it was didn't so much as glance away from the paper. "Yes?" a clearly girlish voice sighed from behind the papers.

"We were wondering if you'd seen any costumed heroes pass by here within the last...few weeks?" Alex replied.

The page flipped again. "Mmmm....not really." the voice replied.

Steel was becoming annoyed. Rather quickly. "That's not very specific. Have you, or have you not seen any heroes around here? Flash? Batman?"

The woman behind the paper sighed. "No, I haven't seen anyone around here. I've heard that there have been costumes spotted around here, but I personally haven't seen anyone. she replied. "It's not like I work here every day, twenty-four-seven."

Steel grunted.

Alex glanced at her a moment, then back at the door. "Why don't you go wait outside while I talk to her about who she's heard of being out and about."

Steel didn't answer, but nodded curtly and spun to walk out of the building.
This wasn't helping. It wasn't being very productive either. They weren't finding anything out, they found no bad guys to 'round up' so that she could feel like she had done something. NOTHING! Flash was missing, and she had no idea how to find him.

Rounding the corner of the doors, she walked towards the brick part of the building and leaned against it. Arms crossed and scowling straight down at the dirty pavement in front of her.
Maybe....maybe if they went back to Murder World. Or...what was left of it. Arcade wasn't around, right? She could re-build it. Make it hers. Get the computers up and running and try to find what they could with those. Just...just...ERG.

Enter from Metropolis

Vivienne felt silly. She hadn't had this...ability for very long at all. Only since the accident. The only thing she knew was that she could run, and everything around her went slow motion. She was trying to figure it all out. Why this had happened in the first place she had no clue. The only thing she figured was that it was a gift from....some higher up because she saved some brats life.

She sighed as she leaned against the brick wall of the alley way. She looked around, slipping out of her hoodie, leaving her wearing a sports bra and pair of jogging shorts. She found out the hard way that her speed and her clothing didn't agree well with one another, and it was cheaper to replace her barely there's. She pulled out a yellow cloth with two eyeholes cut into it and tied it around her head, her hair in a ponytail. She felt ridiculous but hey....she new this city well enough to know that villains would go after her, even if she wasnt a hero...yet.

She stepped out of her hiding space, looking both ways before bouncing a bit, her shoes and socks left behind with her hoodie. She had melted the last pair.

"Ok....time for a major test run."

With that, she was off. She knew she was moving fast....REALLY fast. Everything around her, cars, some people here and there, animals, just seemed like they were stopped. She was taking in everything. It was amazing..this speed. She felt like she were flying, her feet barely hitting the pavement.

Alex waited until Steel was out the door, then turned and addressed the woman again. "Alright, so...what kind of costumes have you heard of there being around the city?"

The paper moved a little, as if the girl behind it had just shrugged. "I dunno. Don't pay much attention. This is Superman City after all, right?" she replied.

Alright....now Alex was getting annoyed.

===========

Outside, Steel simply stood and scowled at the ground, running every possibility she could think of to find Flash. After a few moments, she sighed and glanced down at herself. The gray, tight material she'd put together as a makeshift costume looked a bit out of place compared to what all of the humans she'd seen walking around were wearing. Perhaps that's why they'd all stared at her. She certainly looked human enough. It had taken that man with the green hair a few moments to put it together that she was a robot, even when she was trying to squeeze him into being...knocked out. Hm...still needed to practice that. Then she could help Fla.....

She scowled. Then kicked a broken chunk of brick just to kick it...forgetting how strong she was and how far it would probably go in doing so.

She grinned as she sped up, her shorts growing thinner by the minute. She would have to head home soon. She wondered if there was a super seamstress for super heros. She really needed some help with her um...well..costume, if you could even call it that. She slowed down a bit hoping that maybe a slower pace would help. Instead it only caused her to get beamed with a brick that came from out of nowhere. She tripped, which was really bad. She slid across the ground, manging to slide into the side of a building a bit past what looked to be a laundry mat. She groaned, moving each of her limbs slowly and carefully, making sure nothing was broken. She was sore but smiled. Super powers were a nice thing to have when you were a total clutz.

Steel's attention bolted forward, surprised out of her own scowling. The wind suddenly picked up violently, and there was a....blur. A blur that came and gone so quickly you'd barely know it was there.

"Flash?" she called out, staring down the street where the blur had gone. Well, landed was the more correct word.
Without bothering to inform Alex, or do much of anything, she sped off towards where she thought the blur had stopped. "Flash?"

She groaned and sat up right, rubbing her head were she was hit. Standing carefully, she turned towards the voice which was coming towards her.

"Did...she say Flash?"

As in THE Flash...well...she wasn't but she would stick around and make sure this person, whoever they were, didn't get hurt in her little tumble.

Finally, coming upon the scene, and some busted pavement, Steel finally stopped sprinting and just stared. This...this wasn't Flash. It was a female...and a rather minimally clothed one at that.
She stared at the girl for a brief beat, then looked all around the area. Thinking that Flash was somewhere else. But...this girl was the only human around this small area.

Steel blinked, looked a little down-hearted, then turned back towards the girl. "Did...um...did you see anyone go past here?" She asked, pushing back a few stray strands of artificial brown hair. Maybe Flash had just...sped on through or something.

Vivienne stood carefully, stretching out and testing her muscles and bones. She eyed the girl for a moment. Was she a super....must be if she knows The Flash. Course, in this city, most of the heros were well known.

"Um...well....I don't know anything about um..Flash, but...are you a super hero or something....?"

She was careful. Criminals were just as common as those who helped people. She didn't want to put herself in harms way, especially with not being able to really fight back. She could run away at least. She tugged at a gaping hole that had formed in what little was left of her shorts. She really needed to get this fixed.

Steel stared at the girl for a moment, her blue eyes catching a bit of sunlight that...for a moment almost made them glow. The play of light disappeared as quickly as it had appeared, and Steel's expression immediately turned...almost annoyed.

"....something." she replied. Even her tone had dropped.

Since there was on one else around, she had decided to do a quick scan of the human in front of her. Check for any abnormalities, or any powers. One of the upgraded programs she had given herself in Arcade's absence in Murder World.
She'd found abnormal abilities in the girl in front of her. Enhanced speed. Just like Flash.

....which meant that the blur WAS this girl....and not her Flash.

"Sort of in-training, for the moment. Excuse me." she continued, turning away from the girl. "I thought you were Flash." she said as she began walking away and back towards the Movie store. If this girl didn't know anything about Flash, then there was no need for her to stay and talk. And if she had Flash's abilities...but Flash was still missing....ugh. Angry. Soooo angry.

She watched as the girl turned and started walking away. She almost felt bad for not being the Flash right now. She needed to get more information though.

"Hey wait. Please. I really need your help!"

She caught up a little to quickly, tripping but catching herself before she fell again.

"I um...well I am really new at this...I know you said you were in training too. Can you help me or even send me in the right direction of someone who can...Im...Im really lost right now....my clothes can't even hold up....."

She sighed. She didn't like bothering people, let alone this girl.

Steel paused a moment as the girl nearly tripped beside her. She stared at her for a moment, then turned and continued towards the movie store. "I'm not sure how much help I would be..." she replied with a politeness she really didn't feel. "But my...um...momentary partner might be able to. She knows more about the world than I do."

And, it was the truth really. Steel was made to kill people, and she'd been in Murder World her entire life. That changed only when Flash befriended her and took her out of there. She still had no idea what a lot of things were though, or how to be much of a hero really.

Approaching the store, Steel opened the door and held it open for the girl to walk in.

Alex, who was still talking to a newspaper behind a desk, turned briefly to look back at the door. She turned her head back around, then did an immediate double-take when she realized that Steel was walking in with....erm...well, someone else.

Good grief. NOW what did that tin plate do?

Mal Duncan and Karen Beecher met at the Bessolo Restaurant to for the first time in a long time. When they laid eyes on each other, all of their emotions came rushing back to the once black couple.

Mal walked up and embraced Karen, "It's been too long, Karen. I've missed you, darling."

"I missed you too. It would be nice to put things back together," Karen looked up to Mal.

After a moment, the pair parted and Mal pulled out Karen chair and then sat down himself. The couple ordered lobster and wine, and spent the time over dinner to reacquint themselves, trying to rekindle what they once had.

After dinner, both former adventurers were smiling by the time they ordered dessert. The couple split something called 'Death by Chocolate'. Karen was already planning to spend the evening with her former ex.

After confirming that the cameras were out of commission, the well dressed business man calmly turned toward the couple quickly drew a silenced pistol. Mel's and Karen's eyes widened, just as the assassin fired twice. Both Mel and Karen dropped to the pavement, and Mannheim walked up and expended insurance shots to each of their heads. Only the silenced shots and their respective shell casings clattering on the concrete could be heard.

The German native calmly put his pistol away and walked away. Once reaching his car, Mannheim coded in. Vox and Bumblebee have been eliminated. The assassin looked up his next assignment as part of the Olympus Sanction...

Before either of the two could explain why Steel had returned with a half dressed woman, Alex suddenly tensed. She had enough adrenaline going that her senses were spiked just a bit. And...it was faint, but...she was sure she'd just heard a gunshot.
She took a quick look at Steel and the other girl. The look on Steel's face made it obvious that she had just sensed something as well.

"Did you hear that too?" Alex asked.

"...Two gunshots. Something muffled the sound. I don't think it was far from here though." Steel replied, glancing out the doors again. Being a robot had it's perks. She didn't have to have anything activate enhanced senses. Or tracking. Or anything of the like.

"Can you find where it came from?" Alex asked.

"Easily." Steel replied. Then she turned back to the other girl. "Alex can help you. I'm going to go check this out."
Without waiting for a reply, Steel walked off rather quickly down the street.

Alright, what program to use....x-ray vision? No...
Thermal? Maybe. Did humans still have energy if they were dead? Um...
Not really sure what program to use, she simply kept walking towards the source of the sound...flipping through programs as she went. Each program, her eyes flipped a different color. Finally, they settled on a lavender color. And she seen it.

Two bodies lying on the ground of a parking lot behind a building from where she was standing. The program zoomed in on the bodies, tried to identify them, but nothing came up. Two small circles found discards from the gun, identified the type, and zoomed back out. Another circle appeared, this time encircling another human. A living one. A circle zoomed in on a gun he was carrying, and matched it with the scene.

Steel's eyes returned to blue. Alright...that was all she needed to assume this guy was who made the noise. So all she had to do was keep a lock on him and catch him.
Oh! She could practice the 'not killing people' style of fighting Flash was trying to teach her. Another go at knocking someone out.

With that, Steel headed straight for the man. For a brief moment, she wished she did have a mask to go with the silver costume she wore. It would make more sense, and she probably wouldn't be mistaken for that other woman she was designed off of.

Vivienne watched as the girl left the mat in a hurry and looked at the girl she called Alex.

"What should we do? Oh. Im Vii....oh wait I guess thats a secret identity...I dont know who to tell you I am."

Of course at this point she didnt know anything. She just hoped these people could help her, whoever they were.

With a sigh she looked back to the door.

"Will she be alright?"
