Hlairyn troops worked in smalled groups. Under the orders of the Nariel herself she instructed to enforce the follow: Find all those who supported the vermin goddess and quietly exstinguish anything that might be hatching. Locate criminal strongholds, weaken them, and then offer them help only if they promise their allegiance to their house. And finally help and protect the common people. Chaldor looked at his Ilharess,"Illharess, do you believe that this will grow good connects between our people and the people outside our clan?" "Yes," She said looking out as they began to step out in their groups. Each group was made of five armored warriors, two mages, one sound weaver, and one seer. They were the best of the best and hopefully despite their small size they would be met with success. "I think that after the years of fearing the criminals and the growing force of the vermin lovers. They would enjoy a different change in pace. Plus they will see the good we do and with to help. Personally I think thats a good thing. Now then lets head back. There is more then just an army, recruiting, and building to do. We have to organize for the future." And with this she turned her mount, her guards and magical protectors shifting to staying in position, headed further into the city proper to make their appearance known to the Matron of the Aleanrae House.

Tath nodded serenely as he watched the elemental blaze up and engulf the temple. His eyes, blessed by Vhaeraun, were not harmed by the light, and he smiled brightly as the cinders rained down over the area. He cackled loudly, and then slapped the commander on the shoulder.
"Doesn't it feel wonderful to come out of the shadows with a vengeance? This is really wonderful... But there is much work to be done, and many more strongholds to burn. Let us disperse for now, and reinforce the others; I have a feeling our help will be appreciated there. Thank you as well for the excellent briefing; I shall recall well this lesson, and it shall be used judiciously. Come; let us move to the others."
His cloak swirled smoothly in the shadows, but the troops could see him easily. Others would not be so lucky, but their eyes would soon be their last concern...

Seeing the timely arrival of her allies Drejan and a few of her eliets approach saying "Hail and well met my fellow matron and ally, I am lady Drejan, matron of House Aleanrae I suppose you would like a breifing as to what is currently transpiring."

Quavidil watched a group of soliders in strange red armor marched by. Where did all this come from. There were about in this much force yesterday. She considered the matter as she glanced down at the note in her hand. The envelope had the seal of the Aleanrae House on it and the message had the sign of the Matron of the house. Interested in see me huh? Found my abilities useful...I would ask how they knew of me, but it would be a stupid question. But the major one is why send this to me? With a sigh, she shifted from her position and quickly made her away across town. Unseen.

The mercenary known only as Ironclaw, walked calmly amidst the organized chaos of the takeover. He had seen it all before, when the Yuan-Ti took the revenancers temple, and again when the cult of The Elder Eye attempted their coup. And, like those before, Ironclaw was hardly impressed by anything he saw. He paused a moment to watch the temple of bones burn. Hidden under his helm, the creature have a smirk as he considered the futility of such actions... the gods were too busy to worry about a few structures on the material plane. Hearing bootsteps, Ironclaw slipped into a side alley to avoid a patrol of crimson soldiers. After they had passed he returned to the street and continued his search for an open tavern.

A few blocks beyond the city's entrance, Naki uttered a venomous, tense growl and silently moved through an open doorway and into an abandoned building. A split second later, a detachment of soldiers in red armor turned a corner and passed him by.
He had seen it before. Be it surface or Underdark, the drill was the same. Soldiers, carnage, fire. Somebody was conquering. And knowing Drow as well as he did (which was not much, but well enough), this must be some House or faction staging a coupe-d'état that was so customary among them. Houses rise, Houses fall.
This House was clearly rising. Or trying to.
Growling another venomous word from gods-know-what forgotten language, Naki moved on into the streets, being extremely careful to not be seen nor heard, and leaving no tracks to be followed.

The troops follow quickly behind Tath seeming more than eager to continue their work a fierce gleam of pride in it in there eyes.
*******
Matron Aleanrae continues with "First off my agent in the field is currently handling the outlying enemy strongholds, our task is simple destroy the temple of snakes, then rendevue the armies in a combined attack on Kiransalee's temple simple enoph. We can already see the handywork of my agent even from here. To the greater glory of our masked lord, dark deeds, Lady Hlairyn." She then lets loose an order to her eleventh division to loose the fire elemental on the temple of snakes, watching it combust in a fiery example of raw power as the temple crashes down in a shower of embers and rock.

A careful and lengthy exploration left no room for doubt: the city of Au Shinduago was not inhabitable -even by the city's usual standards-, and it wouldn't be until the coup d'état blew over and a ruler rose to take the reins of the city.
That could take days or even weeks, Naki reflected as he clenched his teeth in savage frustration. A blast nearby startled him, too sudden and too loud for his ears. Growling tensely he made up his mind. He would have to find accomodation elsewhere.
With that in mind, he started making his way towards the outskirts, always careful to not be detected.
Next: Au Shinduago Outskirts.

Quavidil had expected some kind of conflict to present itself. None had appeared. Those who would have troubled her, now fled at her sight. It was a heady and slightly empowering. The wall of squad leaders were perfect and she was tempted to show it off, but she restrained herself. When they stopped she saw more read guard surround an impressived armored figure. I suppose that is the Matron of Aleanrae. Looking at the figure, she cleared her throat and then bow slightly. "Greetings Ilharess Aleanrae, I'm Quavidil. You requested me and I have answered the summons." She said trying to be formal and sound calm at the same time.

Watching the destruction Drejan's attention shifts to the young drow adressing her. Looking her over she responds "Ah Quavidil you've been expected, I hope you werent troubled by the guard, and i must appologise for the mess in this city i was hoping it would be cleaned up before your arrival. In anycase i thank you for your timely arrival, welcome to the first house my daughter its good to have you hear." She finishes embracing her warmly, before turning once again to snap an order to one of her generals to start cleaning up the debris left from there victory and start rebuilding the city in the masked lords honor.
Upon hearing the conquest was successful the troops start chanting "Glory to our Masked Lord Vhaeraun, the city is ours, and long live the Valsharess Aleanrae." and set off on there new tasks.
Once again looking to Quavidil, Drejan says "I do beleive my troops can handle the rebuilding on there own. Should we head back to the house and get you situated?" Leading her and some guards back in the direction of the house.

As the fighting drew to a close and the bastions of resistance fell to the sword, a great darkness swept over the city. Magical and mundane light sources alike dimmed and went out as the entire city was cast under the shadow of the Masked Lord's might. Try as one might, no divine nor magic effect that summoned light would function within the city bounds. A deep chill gripped the streets and as darkness took reign, the shadows themselves came alive. From dark bolt holes and under nooks and clefts, the legion of Barra Errdegahr stole forth from their Lord's realm and crushed the once guardian Shadow Legion formerly controlled by Qu'ellar Druu'giir. After their task was complete, all but a handful of their creatures vanished once more into the depths, the few remaining marched to the Gate of the first house and awaited the arrival of the new ruler of the city.

Quanvidil stood in quiet shock at the warmth of the lady. She watched as she handed out orders and then further shock riped through her as she was walked back to the House. As if I'm of worth or some such. But what silliness is this, my old Matron would not have treated me like this. I would have been slapped to suggest such action be taken in sight of our soldiers. Yet here, she does it without care...This turns everything in a new light. As her thoughts took the shape turn too did the environment around her. Black shadows seemed to consume every building and it took while for her eyes to even slightly position themselves for better use. Her new mother though, seemed to determined and once the shadow descended. The power was clearly up for grabs. Quanvidil had but moments before she witnessed her mothers haste advance towards the Former power of the city. To be a part of House that wields so much power. I most prove that I'm worth of it. I will see that my mother never questions my standing or my quiet. Oh lord of shadows, bless my crocked desire to do well by my new mother. She thought as she confidently lead the guards back the House.

Stepping out of his beautifull house, small as it looked on the outside of the door, Valthier breathed in the air of Au'Shinduago. he missed this place, and wondered if the plot of space the Temple he used to run used to be on had been occupied yet. he stood plain still for his new partner in crime to see, so very obviously caught in old memories. coming to his senses again, he turned his head towards the direction of House Druu'giir. perhaps it was time to pay a visit to an old friend.... "to that palace." he said, pointing, and headed off at a casual pace. he spoke softly and nonchalantly as he walked. "that's the House of the leader of this city, Lord Val'Atar Druu'giir." he explained to Izzd. he had no idea of the dissapearance of the half-demon mage.

Ironclaw paused a moment in a doorway at the sight of the vampire, something in th eback of the mercenary's mind fell into conflict. one combatant denounced him as a traitor to be slain, the other praised the vampire's tact and power. both seething memories of another life. Sorting his thoughts, the helmed fighter moved to intercept their path, but made sure to emphasize that his action was not hostile.
