"If you want, I can give you some money to buy it for yourself..." she said, pulling out some money and handing it to Rick.
Then after she handed the money to Rick, she began looking around, for a treat that may accually cheer her up.

Ryu smiled back. This new girl seems friendly. he thought. He wanted to keep a conversation going so he went over to her, still holding the sleeping 9-year old, and asked, "So which sweets do you like best?"
((Shabatha! How much longer is Ryu gonna be carrying the sleeping girl? xd Not that he minds, but still. ))
Makoto turned around with a shocked expression to see Yoru. "Yoru! How'd you know it was me?" she asked, then sighed in relief that it was only Yoru. But before he could answer, she grabbed his arm and pulled him away into a nearby forest. Once they were deep in it, she transformed back into her angel form. "We won't be seen here," she said as she looked around. Then she looked at him and asked, "Now, please answer me. How'd you know? And why are you here?"

"I don't honestly know, I've never gotten the chance to try any sweets." Lillyn said, smiling at him softly.
"People are usually trying to chase me off if I come anywhere near them back home...."

Rick smiled, taking the money. "Thanks!" He said joyfully. He began looking at the candies, coculating how many of each he could take.

Ryu was a bit puzzled at what she said. "What do you mean by that?" he asked.
Makoto moved a step back as Yoru got closer. "Asahi? Why do you want to know about him?" she asked looking confused.

Yoru hesitated. He didn't know how to answer. So instead he said, "He's someone important to you, isn't he? Otherwise, you wouldn't have been begging him to not go off to fight in the war years ago."

"So... you're a half demon..." Ryu said. That explains the eyes and hair. he thought to himself. Then he said, "Well, as long as you keep quiet about that and don't cause trouble, you'll do fine around here." He smiled warmly at her as he said this.
Makoto stood there shocked. "How do you know that?" she asked. Only Rita knew that Asahi was important to Makoto. And no one else was there on the day Makoto begged Asahi to not fight in the war, three years ago.

Lillyn's eyes weren't heartless and cruel, rather sad and lonely.
She forced a weak smile, unsure of what to say now.

"I don't know how to say this... But..." said Yoru, hesitating. Then he continued, saying, "When you were held captive by Chi Chou during her battle, you cried at one point. When I saw you cry, I had a flashback of you from a few years ago. In it, you were crying and begging someone named Asahi to not go fight."

Ryu noticed how Lillyn's eyes were sad; no hint of evil was in them. I know I can't just leave her... he thought. So he said, "Since you're new around town, why don't you travel with us?"
Makoto was confused. "But.... why would you have a flashback of that? You weren't even there," she asked in a puzzled tone.

Yoru began by saying, "I don't know.... and that's not all. Ever since I fought with you in the war two years ago... I sometimes had dreams about you..." He stopped, blushing a bit at how he said it and then continued, "But the dreams were like flashbacks. They were of you, but when you were a kid... And after I saw you again when I was delivering the Prince Damion's message to Princess Rita, the flashback-like dreams were more frequent..." He stopped, not knowing what else to say.

Ryu smiled. "Great! Now we just have to wait for Rick to buy his candy," he said as he brought her over to Rick and Christian. "Oh, I forgot to introduce you. Rick, Christian, this is Lillyn. Lillyn, this is Rick, the guy you gave money to, and Christian." he said, pointing to each person as he said his/her name.
Makoto couldn't believe it. "That's too weird. The only ones I was ever with when I was little were Rita and... Asahi..." she said, pausing a bit at the end.
