Malen nodded " It's nice and since I see them on rotation there's no more fighting for my attention. I hope you are never in a position where you can't see your child. He couldn't imagine being parted from his children any more than he already was " Gods knows I went crazy both times Kishi went comatose and i was still able to see her body and be there with her."

Hazard zipped about then banked sharply gained altitude then dive to land on the strange boy's head. Upon landing he gave an triumphant chirp.

Gil continued to chase fade who was staying well out of his reach.

Dorian giggled, and grabbed Hazard quickly before the dragon took off again. "I got one!" He said, just as triumphant as Hazard was.

Christian winced, and looked at him. "I'm sorry." He said, frowning a little. "That must've been rough." He didn't know what to say, really. He'd never been in that position, both of his brothers were taken pretty fast. Christian rubbed his neck, and looked at him, quiet for now because he was thinking. Malen was nice, goodness knows it'd been ages since he had a friend. He just badly hoped Lorene didn't find out. The girl was pretty... well.

If Malen ever had the chance to meet Lorene, Christian prayed he wouldn't. Yeesh.

Hazard gave an indignant squeal, how dare it grab him. He had won the game, grabbed the boy before he got grabbed himself. Didn't the boy know how to play?

Gil paused in his chase and smiled " Come to my room we can play with him there, Fade will get jealous and follow us." It hadn't taken the boy long to figure out the dragon's personalities and how to manipulate them.

" It's ok, it's the way the wand kids work they go comatose while they grow. it's when they see their past lives." Malen sighed " it's scarey but I always knew she would wake up." Malen was glad he'd never have to go through that again though.

"Okay." Dorian eased his grip on Hazard, assuming that that was why the dragon had squeaked at him, and followed after Gil, grinning. "They smell funny." It wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but he didn't know how to describe the smell of Dragons. It was just weird to him.

Christian nodded, understanding now. Sort of. "I see." He nodded, and then frowned. "Still. I couldn't do it," he snorted. "I'd panic too much, and be worried about what if they don't wake up, y'know?" He looked over, and smirked. "I remember someone saying I'd have company on this thing, y'know." He teased, lightening the mood for a minute.

Hazard gave another indignant squeal. He smelled funny, what did the crazy child think he smelled like? Roses. Tthe child was lucky he didn't bite him.

Gil lead to his room which was at the moment small and plain. there was a bed a dressed and a toychest along with an oriental rug on the wooden floor. Once they were in the room he smiled and plopped down onto the floor. " Just wait a sec till fade comes, ok?"

Malen laughed and slimbed carefully into the hammock. It was a bit awkward and yet.. fun he'd not been this close to another adult in quite some time. " So will my company suffice?" he asked once he was settled.

Dorian nodded, and moved over towards the bed, sitting down and still holding Hazard. "He's cool." He said, grinning a little and looking down at Hazard. "... It is a he, right?" He looked sheepish.

Christian grinned, and shifted so Malen could join him in the hammock. Once he was settled, Christian settled in too, and looked up at the sky. He looked over at Malen and grinned. "Your company will suffice, yeah." He said lightly, amused. "S'better than nothing." He grinned at him.

Gil nodded " Yep both of them are boys and so is Echo the really big dragon that's always with Del." Gil wished he was allowed to play with Echo but the large dragon had no interest in him.

When Fade entered the room he smiled and reached into the nearby toychest to pull out a neon orange ball the size of his fist. He tossed it gently towards Dorian. we can play tag catch. I play it with Del. We throw the ball to each other and Hazard and Fade trade spots and try to catch the ball before us."

Malen smiled softly " Nice to know I'm appreciated."

Dorian caught the ball, and nodded. Then he let go of Hazard, and grinned. "Ready?" He asked, before tossing the ball to Gil, and watching to see if the dragons' would go after it like he'd said. It sounded like fun!

"Mmmmhm." Christian was happy with Malen's company. And it felt sort of weird, since they'd quite literally only met maybe an hour ago. It was a plus that Malen was cute, and... warm. Chris shifted next to Malen, and tilted his head onto Malen's shoulder. "S'funny." He muttered. "Never been..." The only word he could think of was cuddly. "Comfortable," There we go! "With anyone else. 'Cept Nico, but you don't cuddle up with Nico." Damn that word, it snuck out. He snorted a little.

Immediately the dragons darted from their current position to the boy opposite them. Hazard reached gil and circled him before zipping for the ball Only to have Gil pluck it from the air first. Suddenly gil blinked and laughed " I forgot something" he turned to the toychest again and got another ball which he rolled to Dorian " We both throw so they both chase.."

" Just think of me as an extension of the hammock, very comfy.. cuddly furniture and who's Nico?" Malen asked while shifting. This caused the hammock to rock just slightly. He certainly hoped the motion wouldn't bother the other man. He was enjoying making friends and.. well whatever the else was going on.

Dorian had thought the game was going to be a little... ordinary, until Gil brought out the second ball. He grinned, and caught it smoothly, eying it. Then he nodded. "Now we've got a game." He grinned.

Christian blinked, and shifted when the hammock rocked. It was sort of comforting, actually. "Nico is..." Shift, to get comfortable with Malen again. "My bodyguard. Sort of." He snorted. "He now works at Lackadaisy Books, that's my bookstore, while I'm here raising Dori." He grinned sheepishly. "He's big, looks like a bear, can't talk very good English, and smells like a sewer and other unpleasant things." He nodded. "That said... He's my best friend." Christian laughed.

Gil smiled, this game was very fun and colourful with dragons and balls flying through the air. It was also supposed to teach something but Gil didn't remember what." Ready? throw" He called and tossed the ball at his friend while watching Hazard take off in pursuit of it.

It was weird this sort of snuggling that was going on. On the other hand it had been too long since anyone had been affectionate in any with with Malen. Well anyone over the age of twelve anyways. He listened to Christian Describe Nico and snickered " Perhaps not the most charming of companians but if he's loyal and a good person than there's no reason not to stand by him. Good friends are hard to come by these days."
PostPosted: Thu Jul 26, 2007 8:45 pm

When Gil had instructed him to throw his ball, he did, and caught Gil's smoothly. The game was off, and he watched the blur of colors as the dragons chased after the dragons. He tossed the ball back to Gil, keeping the game going out of pure amusement with the dragons.

Christian nodded, closing his eyes. "Oh, yes. He's been by my side for... years." He nodded again, snorting. "Marten thought it best Nico was assigned to me since I was the youngest and he's sort of stuck around ever since my ex." He explained, grinning a bit. "He feels like he owes me for something." Christian honestly didn't know what that something was, and whenever he asked, Nico wouldn't answer, so... He didn't think about it too much.

He looked up at him. "You have a friend like that?" He asked. "... Well, a best friend who's loyal and the like?" No one had a friend like his Nico, not anyone he knew anyway.

Fade managed to circle Gil and snag the ball just as he reached for it. With a happy cheep he dropped the ball into Gil's hands and waited for the next round.

Hazard gave a dejected growl at Dorian's sucessfull catch but waited patience for his next chance.

Gil loved this game it was fun because everyone was playing against everyone. He wanted to catch more balls then Dorian but he also wanted to keep the dragons from winning as well and the same went for them. With a nod he tossed the ball again.

Malen listened carefully but didn't pry about the information that had been revealed. Chris was trusting him enough as it was, pushing things was a bad idea.

"Mm no I have a twin like that though. I have many friends and many close and deep friends, people that are mostly loyal but everyone but Maria has a price monetarily or morally where they'd leave me if it came down to it. Some of them have kids and other things to protect at well. I trust them with my life still but I know that everyone has a price a place the will bend at." Malen spoke with malice as he continued to rock them. He shared many good times and feelings with all his close friends like Raven and Talon and he wouldn't ever begrudge them if they betrayed him to save their children's lives or the like.

Dorian grinned, and grabbed for the ball again after he threw his, trying to grab it before Hazard could snatch it up. It was a pretty fun game, and Dorian found himself getting absorbed into it.

Christian nodded a little, and frowned, shrugging slightly and looking over at Malen. "I don't think I have anyone who'd betray me, not that I know of... Nico wouldn't, he's too loyal for that. ... My sisters probably would, but not if it was a life or death disaster..."

His real parents' probably would've, maybe even his brothers.

" It's not that i expect anyone to turn on me infact most of them would go to great lengths not to. It's just that I'm realistic.. and that all my friends have similar situations to me in which case it may become needed."
