Cherry Springer Buttcake The Twisted Truth This all sounds well and good, but when put to a candle it just fails. The reason why we have closed ourselves off is because of douchebags that have taken advantage of it and exploited our home. Spreading it's location, diluting what it used to be.
We hold on to the memory of how everything was, but when oldbies we know are still around come back, we get defensive, in the same way we do when a new kid comes in.
There will be no talk of moving. At all. 1919 is 1919, there is no other. At this point, I don't care if I sound like an elitist b***h. I'm tired, I want my home back. I am sick of the pricks and bitches thinking they can come in and ******** my day up. I'm sick of the petty OOC drama s**t. There will always be drama but damn. The beast has turned in on it's self hasn't it? How can we expect to to deal with outsiders when we can't even get along with all of the insiders? The People who left and are slowly returning...who says they were even gone at all?
Yuki, stop being a little b***h. You are a new kid. You aren't 'known' like some people like Plush or Murk or any of them are. That's no one's fault but your own. Don't you turn on people because we aren't all "HOMG WANNA PLAY CARS WITH US!1!one!11!1"I agree with Twisted. I think we need to talk to the people who are directly trying to "invade" 1919 and settle this. And we can possibly stop this from continuing by respecting random people who just enter the town. If they do not reply to you with respect, ignore them. : D If we respect them too much though and are too welcoming, they'll see that they can just hang around and make themselves at home. Now then, read this fully before calling me a b***h or anything, but soon over time 1919 will be too crowded with 'regs' probably resulting in the first few generations fleeing.
Also, I know each and every reg represents the group, and it's not us who really needs changing.. it's just our actions in which we deal with things that need changing.I only meant respecting them as a first impression. Obviously I don't want every newcomer to make themselves at home; I just don't want them to come back 6 months later as a spam bot of 1919.

AvalonWitch I think we all quickly forget that at one point, everyone was new to 1919. When it started there wasn't really such a strict ranking system, 1919 doesn't and never has needed organized leadership, and lower divisions and such - just people who care about the community and want to make it a nice place. 1919 was never perfect, but it wasn't quite this...HOSTILE. With that said, those that are aspiring to become regulars need to respect the older regs just as much as the regs (old and new) need to respect the newvomers there's no need for hostility. : / Hey if you don't want to get torched then put yours away first. But when you think about it, status systems are unavoidable. Even when 1919 was still young and in it's plot days, there were the plot prommies, and then there were regs. It was much better than 1919 now, but still much the same.

Hmm, well, it's kind of hard because there are regulars that do come and don't listen to what everyone wants and presents drama and unwelcomingzzzzez to incomers. How do we deal with that? Not everyone will listen, especially people who call themselves regs and aren't really regs.
Rereading this, it makes it seem that I'm only speaking highly of the regs. I know that there are nice irregs, it's just that regs know how 1919 works, and how it's been working. :t2h:They come and do that because they don't understand. Even Peachy listens when talked to nicely. I have yet to see a reg worse than Peachy, for they would not be called a reg.

@ Cherry I concur. And naturally no matter what we do there will be people who won't go along.
But that certainly doesn't mean that we give up.
@ Raine + Cherry: Regs, especially older regs, will always be better known, and have more say. That's just the way it works; it is still nothing to get in a fuss over. Just another fact of life.
@ Buttcake - I personally haven't seen you in 1919 before, but judging from your posts you seem pretty respectable. That's exactly what we need from our newcomers.

Yeah.. :/ It's hard to keep up with the flow of change, especially having new regs come in with their influences to the outcome of our community is all. You're all right about the key part in this plan, which is understanding.

You basically said one moment that what I did was wrong, than another that it was okay.
I think it's about time I avoided 1919 for awhile. I certainly wouldn't want to create another Arkeron now would I?

Personally, I don't mind new kids. It's never really been a problem, cause...I just don't care. I've always made a point to try talk to them (talk about their user name, say things like "hey, you're from---- right? =D!", or jump into their conversation if it seem open), blah blah blah. I can handle new people, -raises welcome committee flag- That's not my problem, nor do I think newbs are the problem. Sure, I'm sure some newbs suck, but generally speaking, it's the people who take all the enjoyment out of 1919 that bother me...and seem to bother everyone. Both regs and irregs.

TTT... this meeting wasn't meant to have anyone avoid 1919, just to help it. You avoiding 1919 wouldn't be helpful to the cause because there's one less person supporting it. Nobody but Arkeron's two mothers can create another Ark, and that's that.
