Roachy Ohh yay! I've been lookin all over for people who have finished the book. I knew all along that harry was a damn horcrux but no-one in my guild believed me xD. And snape, i feel soo damn sorry for him. I actually cryed. crying I quite like the ending, although she did choose the typical ending where the hero lives and is triumphant over evil. And it was a bit boring in the middle when they were just sitting around kinda waiting for something to happen. But the battle at Hogwarts, was pretty thrilling and i was quite overwhelmed by the whole thing xD.
Luna is quite lovely isn't she? I thought she was absolutely beautiful in the OOTF and i also loved Tonks. Sad that poor teddy was left an orphan. But oh well atleast he's got harry heh?
I heart Luna's (actress) hair =o she's totally cute <3 omg, yeh...I feel so sorry for Teddy crying

i think too many people died... the cool people died...why do the cool people die???
i think they should all have blown up so she can't write anymore books about them 3nodding or have at least died in interesting ways. like dumbledore. but was still a hardcore read

I cried for like half an hour when Harry realized he had to die and was confronted by the "ghosts" of his parents and friends. My mom was laughing so hard at me. ninja

I have mixed emotions about the book.
I really liked the last battle (house elves pwn all other creatures) but at the same time, I am so angry at JK for killing off all the cool characters..
Fred, really she just didn't need to do it. It's not like the plot depended on it. I cried when he died. D= He was so cool. And Snape, was just awesome. He was my favorite character ever.
And COME ON JK. Dobby just comes out of no where and she kills him off. He was alive for barely a full paragraph.
I felt bad for Lupin and Tonks, but you could tell they were going to be offed the minute they asked Harry to be Teddy's godfather. I think JK likes to repeat history.
And I think, she should have used less angst in the middle ("Oh Ron -tear- why did you have to leave? I am so angry at Harry I got talk to him for two chapters.")
But other than that it was brilliant!

Takalian I have mixed emotions about the book.

And I think, she should have used less angst in the middle ("Oh Ron -tear- why did you have to leave? I am so angry at Harry I got talk to him for two chapters.")
But other than that it was brilliant! Although I agree about the angst thing and the living like hobos for like five chapters was freaking boring and I got sick of it...sure the deaths didn't further the plot. But what is war without loss and death?
I mean how do you FEEL if she stirs no emotion? Imagine had she not killed off Fred, Dobby and Tonks & Lupin? It was the end to the Marauders and Dobby sacrificed himself for Harry. fred sacrificed himself for Harry. why is everyone sacrificing themselves for Harry?
It teaches Harry sacrifice as well. They are sacrificing themselves for him because they know he is the only hope they have protecting the world they love, even if it means their deaths. Harry comes to terms with him having to die as well and he, like every other good wizard and witch, gives his life for his world and his family and his friends.
If none of them died...even Snape...I don't think I could have ever liked the book. It would have been stupid, a fairytale, childish to believe that all of them could live and happily defeat Voldemort with zero sacrifices.
Not that your point isn't well taken. I think Hedwig was just to get rid of having to write about one more magical creature...haha. Moody? Well, it was abrupt but makes you realize there is no "timeout" or "safe base". It may be just the beginning in our eyes, but death waits for no one, right?
Snape was an inevitable death. I saw it coming since...really far back. x'D I don't think he could have been as cool and a hero hadn't he died.
I think people always take it too hard on the author. I think it's time to stop blaming her for killing off her own characters, but blaming her for making you love them so much. 3
I don't think I could ever love-hate any series this much. x'D

I Loved it. I think it's the best of the books It was sad that Fred died, but she had to kill of at least one super popular character in this one. I had a feeling Lupin was going to die...he was the last of the Muraders and everything. sad Tonks had to die too tho and Dobby crying why Dobby Woot Kretcher tho he turned out to be awesome It was cool the was she killed Harry without killing him xd Woot! Nevle PWND! He took out the horcrux with FANGS! And Go Mrs. Weasly I wish she would have talk more about what people did after voldermort was taken out and what happened to people. The epologe hardly covered anything. Aw, but I love Harry's kid's names whee I drew this picture Potter FamilyPotter Family Sketch

I didn't feel great emotion for Lupin/Tonks/Fred's deaths, although I enjoyed reading the part where Harry called him a coward (not beacuse I like/dislike Harry or Lupin), and I really liked the part where Percy covered Fred's body . T-T The saddest death for me was Moody... because I really liked him. cry
......
But cutey Neville became a man!! pirate
Yeah, those two things don't have any correlation whatsoever, but those were my biggest impressions from the book. Also, I really liked the dialogue during Harry and Voldemort's deaths. :3

A bit late in the conversation I know, lol. xP
But DH was amazing, with or without the epilogue. Except for some deaths that Jk didn't even bother to go into any detail with... Just, hey look they're dead. Moving on. ~%*^#@!~ D<
I cannot wait for the encyclopedia though!! Squee!! Lol. x]
