((If I could, I would like to join this. Seeing as multiple people who made chars aren't here. I thought I'd ask as it's the polite thing to do. I've already got my character made on the last page of your setup thread))

HenjinBakka (ooc smile this is HenjinFreak, I got scamed so I had to make a new account, so Im gonna continue using this one if thats ok. OOC: That's fine. A slight update, however: the fleas are slowly getting a little better, though they're still very annoying. However, one of the cats died yesterday, we aren't sure if it was related or not. So it'll be a little longer until I'm ready to continue, but things will continue.

((Might as well save time))
Bruhan takes his time making sure all of his supplies are in place, and he is comfortable with his load, He dons his Chestpiece, secures his sword to his belt and his buckler to his forearm, Leaving his backpack downstairs he checks to see if the shortbow is properly secured, his cloak is tied properly, that his warm clothes is well padded, worn as tightly as possible and that his gold, flask and dagger are all present and accounted for, thus equipped Bruhan walks downstairs into the lobby of the school, grabs his hat, a scarf to protect his face from the cold, and waits for his companions.

((thanks for letting me join. suckies you cat died, my lizards both died last month so i know the feeling. good luck with the rest of those fleas))
((Now the fun can begin...))
Damien (lol almost forgot his name) awoke to the sound of many feet and things being packed. The sun was already high in the sky. Not one to have many possesions he checked to make sure the ones he did have were still in his bag. After searching and being sure that everytihng was as he left it, he dressed in his clothes and shivered as he looked out the window at the white waste that was his new home.
After a few minutes he went downstairs to see if anything was left from breakfast, but found one of the residents and classmates at the bottom of the stairs with his equipment and a bag.
"What's going on?" Damien asked still a might groggy.

"We may have found a lead to a cure of the sickness" Bruhan replied, "A friend of the Master's is going to supply us with some ways and means."
"I certainly hope you'll choose to come with us, this is a very important quest, not only is it our first, but Master has come down with the sickness as well" He continued "You've just woken up, there should be enough eggs and sausage in the Dining Room to feed ya, make sure you buy anything you'll need if you're going to come, its pretty bad out there, you have a good bit of time to prepare, as far as I can tell we haven't picked a route yet" He finished and waited.

"Hmmm."
Damien though for a moment. The master was ill. He had come to like this place, no one looked like they were too bad. The dwarf could use some manners but other than that everyone seemed nice, for now. No use in letting a perfectly good home die before kicking him out.
"May as well, its gotten a little boring here anyway." He turned and headed to the kitchen to make himself a bit of food and after he finished he went up and packed what he had along with his trusty gobstopper.
He went to town and gathered a few supplies and rations. A few insulated canteens so that the water wouldn't freeze as easily. He also bought a few warm cloaks and some winter clothes. (Just tell me how much this is and i'll take out some gold)

(( go to that website that was linked in one of the threads, www.d20srd.org, the cloaks are free since everyone gets one free set of clothes, you'd be looking at the cold weather gear, water skins are a gold apiece, just add it in the description that theyre insulated, or put in a warm place or something Rations are 5 silver per day, (10 silver per gold, 10 copper per silver, keep that in mind) ))

OOC: I have all the characters listed and hyperlinked to their files here. Also, have audited everyone's sheets (though not thoroughly), and found problems with some of them. Too in-depth for this thread, I'll go over it in the character creation thread. Also, for equipment, best place to find anything you might need is indeed the SRD, specifically right here, but let me take a quick look at a couple other books and see if I can't find some other useful things. Ah, yes, furs. For 8gp, you can buys furs to wear over your clothes or armor. They weigh 10lb, and stack with the effects of a cold weather outfit. Unlike a cold weather outfit, they can be worn over armor, but it is also more bulky than a cold weather outfit, imposing a -2 armor check penalty. I think I'll also rule that it imposes a spell failure chance, probably 5%, but I haven't decided. As for insulated canteens, no rules on those, so I'll just say spend 50% extra on any normal water container and it'll be insulated. Of course, before you mentioned this, I never thought of having your drinking water freeze. Congradulations, you've put evil thoughts into the DM's head.
