Edward's brows furrowed at what Setsumi said... knowing that he wasn't getting the whole truth from her, but he wasn't going to press the matter. If she wanted to talk about it.. she would. Sighing, he turned his gaze down sadly, mouth tightened into a thin, grim line. His 'mother' deserved better than this. A look was given to Lilianna, for she certainly deserved better. He would try his best not to cause such pain on her. He's seen so much pain because of similiar situations. His mother in his past life, dying inside because his father wasn't there. Not showing up when she needed him most.. not even coming to her funeral. Roy's total neglect of Ed himself as he got older... and now Setsumi's seemingly broken heart over Elian... and she was now leaving him. He would miss her. His father deserved a sock in the jaw, as did Roy.. and Elian... he wasn't going to add himself to that list.
A soft smile was given to Lily as she offered Setsumi her communicator, before he turned his golden eyes back to Setsumi. "We'll go with you then, when Ronan goes his own way" he said softly. Ed was obviously still a bit upset, but atleast he'd mellowed.

A pause was given, worried as Lily offered her own device for the adult. But wouldn't she need it more? Surely her family was on the other end of it, eager to hear their daughter's voice. To have a trace was a little reassuring, but still made the female hesitate on accepting the kind offer. Her mouth opened to speak, but nothing came out. She pulled back as Ed glanced to Lily, at least now conent that they understood the situation enough to make their own choices. Leaving them in the dark until the last moment would have been all the harder. Ed's voice drew her from her thoughts, and her expression went blank, almost pale, at his statement. Ears darted down quickly, brushing at her shoulders in utter confusion and surprise. "Edward?" But...that was something between him and his own mate. Did he know what he was saying?

The witch was as confident in the magical trace as she was the trackers within the communicators. As long as she could even attempt the smallest magic while the trace was on Remus would be able to pinpoint where she was. There were ways to communicate magically as well. The communicators were simply easier for the entire family to use. There was no need to have magical blood to keep in touch.
As for Edward's statement... Softly she stood, white & gold tails brushing the sand around her in a small crescent shape. Steps light Liliana padded until she was side by side with her teen-mate, only barely touching. Her green gaze half opened & moist. Without a word, she lay her crimson head across Edward's neck. An ear twitched feeling the softness of his braided hair but Lily kept her eyes on Setsumi. The implication she was sure would be clear. Where Ed went, Lily went too. If that was with Setsumi, that was with Setsumi. Until his 'mother' could convince the stubborn fullmetal to leave.

And stubborn he was, although certainly not stupid. "We'll go with you as far as we can... and don't worry about the communicator, I have one too." Ed and Lily likely wouldn't get seperated, thus they could use his between the both of them until they got back home and she could acquire a new one.
Setsumi meant a great deal to him, and he hoped she realized that. She had been his motherly figure since he was little and that was not a bond easily broken. When Roy hadn't been there for him, Setsumi had, and it made a difference in his life. His loyalty towards her was absolute.
As Lily laid her head across his neck, the alchemist smiled softly. Appreciative for Lilianna's support and unfailing devotion. However, he wouldn't take advantage of that. If something came up with either of them, they would have to leave Setsumi.. as much as the thought pained him.

To say the adult female was in shock was correct, but in simple trems. Her mind felt numb, and her body just didn't want to breathe or move. To see Lily's eyes moist caused her own to respond in the same manner. She didn't want them to go out of their way for her, that was the whole point of getting away. She flicked a nervous glance to her rainbow friend before turning once more to the couple. Her heart tugged at the devotion Edward was showing, warmed to know that some bonds remained untorn.
It threatened to meake her cry, and she clenched her jaw with a smile and ruffled Ed's golden locks. "That's sweet. But I'm not going to waste your guys time together." They had just gotten together for goodness sake, these two mates should enjoy such a union. And she was the adult, it was her duty to handle herself...especially in the presence of others. Besides, she didn't know how intact she could remain as a third wheel with the couple.

"It wouldn't be a waste." Liliana said softly. Her gaze not wavering. "As far as I'm concerned we came to be with you. Until the journey was over." Whether over from its own ending or until something happened where they had to go back, or were called home. Like Edward growing and needing new limbs or Ginny's eggs hatching.
From the look in her eyes it was as if she was trying to convey what she felt. That Setsumi was Edward's mom. That families should be together. How she hoped it could work out between Setsumi and her mate. It should work out. That was how it worked, right? But Liliana could not be fully innocent that everything had a happy ending. If that was the case it would never have come down to her to hurt the two males who meant so much to her. But there was a softness to Liliana's green gaze too, especially as the feathered femme ruffled Ed's hair. She readied herself for Ed's reaction.

Ed just grinned and sweatdropped a little as his hair was ruffled, but didn't really seem to mind. She was his mother after all... even if not by blood. A glance up was given to Lily.. for it seemed they were both in agreement. "Heh.. You're not a waste of our time, and we both want to spend it with you." Ed and Lily would have plenty of chances to spend time together, but well.. it seemed time with Setsumi was limited. "We can atleast make sure you get to where you're going, safely." He didn't just want to leave her unless she really wanted them to go. "Besides... shouldn't we get moving soon?"

Seeing that they weren't going to be swayed any, Setsumi simply nodded. Her throat was too tight to bother speaking anymore. Yes, it was time to move forward.
Ronan sighed before pulling on a grin, and stepped forward to the others with tails wagging. "We all ready to head out now?" That had been a mouth full, more than he had expected to hear. The distance between here and the jungle should steam all that tension away.

The winged femme did not want to force her adoptive mother-in-law (?) into something she did not want, yet at the same time she could not let the feathered female cut off from them for them. If it was truly for Setsumi when the time came, she would try to convince the alchemist to let her go. Knowing they could meet again... knowing she would come for kits... Liliana could be satisfied.
If she could keep Ed from hurting from it too badly.
Green eyes glanced to Ronan first in incredulity before her face broke into a grin. Perhaps she was starting to understand the colorful male. A light flick of her tails, brushing both her legs and Edward's gently. A simple nod. Yes. She was 'ready to head out now.'

Edward nuzzled Setsumi gently before looking to Ronan as the question was asked. A nod given along with Lilianna's. He was ready to keep going. The alchemist would certainly miss his mother, but he would be able to let go when the time came. He only wished there was another way. Still.. if he saw Elian, there would be a confrontation.
A nuzzle was then given to Lilianna and Ed started forward, ready to follow the only two kitsu who actually had any idea where they were going.
(( We could start a new thread for the jungle trip. I'm starting to get burnt out on this thread myself. xd ))
