*Luana gasps and her eyes open wide when she sees the wings. Her rate speeds up slightly, and she smiles. Her voice comes in hardly more than a whisper.* An... angel? A real angel?
*Somewhere in the back of her mind an alarm goes off, but Luana ignores it. Fear should be a normal reaction for anyone in such a situation.*
Wh- why... ? *She drops her gaze suddenly, not wanting to stare.*

*The Seraphim kneels and takes her hand, smiling up at her*
I need your help. We.... need your help. With The Brink of Time. Its been stolen from heaven by a demon.

*His touch is gentle and his voice is kind. It takes a moment for his words to register in Luana's mind.* The Brink?
*Images of the place flash across her mind. The bar, her room, the library, the inhabitants...* It was stolen? *His smile eases her fear, and questions begin to flow.* How? What could do something like that? Why?
*She realizes that she probably sounds like a five-year-old and stops speaking, but her brain is already running and ready to process whatever the Seraphim tells her.*

*The Seraphim smiles and nods*
It's okay. It's a lot to take in. Just stop and listen for a little okay. You have plenty of time to think about it. Especially in a place like The Brink.
*The Seraphim stands up and paces while he talks*
The man who claims to be the "owner" of The Brink of Time is, in actuality a powerful demon, who stole The Brink and is trying to use it for his own nefarious schemes. If he's allowed to continue, he may well kill many people. I would like to ask for your help in stopping him

*She looks up and watchs the Seraphim as he paces.* Me? But, angel, I'm just a kid. What could I possibly do?

*The Seraphim smiles calmly, supportively*
Even the smallest child is capable of doing the greatest things.
*The Seraphim hands Luana a small platinum pendant. The locket has engraved on it what looks like the digit zero- a circle with a diagnol slash through it*
All you have to do, my dear is wear this locket, a locket of heaven, and I'll be able to hear and see everything that you do in The Brink. Then you just learn what you can and let me take care of the rest. Do you think you can handle that job? It won't be easy, but I trust you. I have faith in you!

*Luana looks at the locket in her hands, then back up at the Seraphim. Her hands shook a little.* I don't know why God chose me for this task, but I'll do it.
Angel, how will I know this demon when I see him?

You'll know him, he doesn't hide. He pretends to be a good guy.

*The Faerie's smiling face came to her mind.* What about the other people in The Brink? Do they know?

*The Seraphim shakes his head*
I've tried to tell several of them, but few will even listen. The demon can be very charming if you let him be. Very convincing. Because that is the way of the Devil. Lies, treachery, deceit. Be careful not to fall for his ploys of sweet innocence, child. He is a killer.

*Luana puts on the locket.* So, they wouldn't believe me if I tried to tell them?
*She runs her fingers down the chain and stops them on the locket.* Is there anyone I can trust?

*The Seraphim smiles gently*
Always remember that those others in The Brink are not bad people. They are simply good people being misled by a very bad man. They likely will not believe you, and you probably won't be able to trust them, unless they become good friends. But be cautious. And keep the pendant close. Hide it if you must, but wear it whenever you can. Do you think that you can do this for me? For heaven? For God?

*The Seraphim places a comforting hand on Luana's shoulder*
Then go my child, and remeber that you have an angel looking out for you. Your own, personal, guardian angel.
*The Seraphim smiles as Luana fades away*
