Kal huffed, once again debating his wisdom in accompanying the youngster home when he would rather be hiding away somewhere safe for the night. He was a nice stallion who would hold his tongue on the matter, so he wouldn't let the filly put a mark on his character.

"Sure..." She snickered as she trotted off away from him. "Have a good night Mr. Kal-spook" Flicking her tail she took off toward the beach and her family's cove. She'd have to tell Mom that she met a spook and that he'd been funny.

Feeling that he had done just about as much as he could, Kal turned tail in a huff and didn't look back over his shoulder once. At least he would make it to his safe spot before the sun fell completely, and didn't have to worry about the little filly trying to follow him around anymore.
He figured he would have wished her goodnight too though, if she had only told him her name.
