Catherine blinked, the question caught him off gaurd, she sighed remembering asking Salem the same thing on Halloween. "You're a good father Tori, look at Wy. He's grown into asuch a wonderful boy." She smiled. "You've done a wonderful job at raising Wy."
Nariko rolled over back onto her back, taking off her booties to look at her toes.
Aphrodite blushed when she was told she was cute and hid behind Garreth.
Garreth smiled wide. "Okies, you start on this page and then I'll read the next page!"

"Thanks..." Tori smiled broadly, wiggling his nose slightly. "That means a lot to me..." He nodded slowly, his eyes tracing the patterns in the wooden floor. "And you know...I think that, the more different something is, the better, ne? I mean..." The tall man paused for a moment, biting his lip. "Different is good..."
"Okay!" Wycliff said, scooting next to the book. "Once u...up...'pon a time..." He said, squinting as he read the words. "There was a r...ch...rich...Em'pr. He liked to...cha...change ck...ckaloth...clothes man...manny times each da...day..." The text was large, so not much of it fit on the page, but there was a wonderful illustration of a grand looking man, presumably the emperor, with a large wardrobe full of clothes behind him.

Catherine gave him a huge smiled. "Yes, being different is good!" She tickled her little asain baby with a smile.
Nariko giggled with delight, nuzzling her mother's thigh. "Mama" She then loked up at Tori she waved finally acknowledging him.
Garreth smiled, waiting for his turn. "... Bu-Buh tha Emperor wa-wanted new clothes, he wa-was ty-tired of all his old ones."
Aphrodite blinked, crawling over Garreth and sititng infront of the book. "I wanna try an' read too!" She proclaimed staring at the large letters.

Tori watched Catherine tickling her baby, a soft smile on his face. "You are a wonderful mother, you know?" He waved his fingers toward Nariko, his smile growing.
Wycliff nodded, scooting the book over to Aphrodite. "You'll read good!" He said, nodding and watching the other Mishap.

Aphrodite smiled wide. "And so the... Em-Emporah high-high-ared two tale-tail-ares to make hiim him new clothes." She smiled up at the pciture of the two tailors.
Catherine smiled. "Thank you, I didn't have anyone to really teach me.. but who can teach someone something like that? You just know." She picked up Nariko onto her lap.
Nariko giggled happily, loving the attention. Bringing her hand to her mouth, she threw an exaggerated kiss towards Tori.
"Dite, you read good. Better than me!" He smiled, knowing this would make his sister happy.
Aphrodite beamed.

Tori nodded slowly, looking around the apartment before turning back and receiving the blown kiss from Nariko. "Ahh, why thank you!" He said, grinning and laughing softly before turning back to Cathering. "Yes, I agree...Sometimes I wonder if I am doing well, but then I look at Wycliff..." The tall man turned to Wycliff, smiling softly. "He's wonderful...The best I could hope for, ne?"
Wycliff nodded at Gareth's comment. "Aphrodite reads good!" He said, his ears wiggling slightly. "My turn now..." The little Rhino-boy leaned in close to the book, squinting at the words; it seemed that his vision wasn't very good, at least right now. "The Em..Emperor," Wycliff smiled at his pronunciation; he had heard the word several times now, and didn't have to work out the letters now to be able to read it. "The Emperor di..didn't know th..that the ta...tay..tayl..ors...were..." He paused, blinking a few times at the next word. "Crooks."

Catherine grinned. "Yes, you're very lucky. Wy's a darling, but for Salem and some of the other parents..." She lifting up Nariko, bouncing the baby on her knee. "They need alot of luck to handl their babies." She sighed thinking about Cato and his temper.
Aphrodite blinked looking at the word. Turning she looked up at her mother. "Mama what's a crook?"
Catherine blinked, looking down at her tiny toddler. "A crook is a bad person, he's a theif or someone who tries to steal. They are called crooks because some people say they are crooked in nature. A crook is a name for someone who does something bad."
"Oh!" She nodded understanding a bit more.
Garreth on the otherhand absorbed the information like a sponge!
Nariko just burped again like the gassy little babe she is. "Poo!"

"Luck is usually on my side, thankfully..." Tori said, running a finger along the design on his pants. "You guys do a great job, though..." He looked up, nodding firmly. Although he was going to say more, Aphrodite's question interrupted him.
"Crook, bad person..." Wycliff repeated, seeming to be zoned out while he thought about what Catherine had just said. "Taylors bad people!"

"Tailors aren't bad people, Wy. You see the tailors in the book weren't tailors, they were crooks who pretended to be tailors to trick the emporer." Catherine then explained, looking at Nariko with the most amused look.
Aphrodite nodded, understanding the two characters in the book a bit better, looking to the page, she then looked up at Garreth.
Garreth took a moment to think. "So they were pretending to trick the king? Wow they were crooks." He giggled, glad to find a use for his new word.

Tori nodded, chuckling softly. "Yes, not all taylors are bad people, Wy..." The tall man reached behind him, pulling his long hair out of its customary ponytail for a moment, before putting it back up.
"Ohhhh..." Wycliff nodded slowly, his mouth coming open just a little as he resumed thought. "Thanks!"

Catherine gave him a silly grin. "You see Tailors are very expensive, because they make clothes... buut it's not just because they make clothes, but they make one of kind clothes especially made for whom ever pays for them." A gentle hand came down to brush Nariko's hair.
"I know what those are, they make me clothes Mama!" Aphrodite grinned.
Garreth smiled a bit. "Let's get back to the story! My turn!" He grinned a bit looking over the page. "Si-Since the Emporer did not know that, he hired the tailors to make him new clothes, because he was tired of all his old ones."

Tori stretched a bit, looking around his apartment. "I have never really had a need for a personal tailor, as you may see..." He looked down at his wardrobe, which consisted of a purple robe, a black headband, and a gold bracelet that he wore around his left wrist. "But I am sure you do, Catherine; no matter when I see you, you are always quite beautiful..."
Wycliff nodded at Garreth, looking up at Aphrodite for a moment before back down at the book. "Wow, he was tired of all of his clothes?" The little Rhino-boy looked down at his own wardrobe, which didn't change all that much from day to day, save for becoming cleaner as Tori did laundry. "He must have no life..." Wycliff said, giggling a bit.

Catherine merely smiled, pulling out a brush from her pocket. "Aphrodite is so small, so I have doll tailors make her clothes." She smiled, brushing the asian baby's hair.
Garreth yawned a bit, feeling a bit sluggish feeling as though it was almost his nap time.
Aprhodite blushed once more at the comment. "Thank you Mr. Tori..." she looked over towards the book, ah-eming. "So daah crooks said that they wooood maay-kah clothes for the emporer the next day. "

The relaxing enviorment had lulled the baby dragon into deep sleep. Nuzzling happily into Copey.
Aphrodite blinked. "Mama, Garreth fell 'sleep."
"Aww, he must be tired, he's still just a baby ya know."
"Oh.. Does that mean it's my turn to read again?"
Catherine nodded, still brushing Nariko's hair.
Taking a deep breath Aprhodite read over the page before reading it aloud. "Daaah crooks lied, DEEY said that if dah Emporer gave them more time they would make him preeeetie clothes"
