The elf insisted that he didn't know. Leo got angry quickly. "WHATEVER!" he said, and broke his jaw with one short movement of his hand. He dropped the elf and said "I'm through trying to interrogate that moron." He went up to the top of the tower to lookout for anyone coming by sea towards them.

Shaon knelt down by the elf and put her hand to his jaw. when they insisted they didn't know, soemtimes actign kidn got the job done. She removed ehr mask and smiled at him. "Please excuse my brothers, are you alright?" she wiped the blood from his mouth. "we're just in way over our heads, that's all." she smiled with false sincerity, but it looked genuine.

Shaon sat down by him. "truth be told i'm like you, a captive of these ruthless men. i may not look it..." she tried to make her voice sound riddled wtih pain. "but they did things to me to...terrrible things..." she hated saying it, the words felt like poison in her mouth, but she knew what people thoguht. she kept telling herself it was for information. painfully, she went on. "I know how hard it is to tell them stuf...especially when they're ruthless and start screaming at you." she grabbed ehr dagger to make the blade sink into one of her figners. the pain made her force a tear out, the exact thing she wanted. "But please...tell them what they want to know, for our sake. even if it's not important, anythgin! please!" she sounded scared now. "If you don;t then we'll both die..." she made her voice crack and looked like she was tryign to wipe the tears away. "please...."

"what were the orders?" she asked quietly, "mine were jsut to remain slaves to these terrible men." she cursed sieltnly and wished she coudl slit the elf's throat. she felt bad for him, but speakign bad about her brothers was makign her sick. "It's not your fault they made you do it... you know..."

Recognising the good-guy bad-guy technique, Sydney kicked the little Elf.
He didn't know why, but it hurt him to do it.
Sydney shook himself slightly and was back in the game.

Shaon silently thanked him and inched back, actign afraid. it stung her pride to do it, but she was willing to take the sting for her brothers. "don't do it...it's not his fault!" she begged, amking herself sound desperate. she turned back to the elf. "i'm sorry..." she sadi sympathetically. "do you know why they asked you to do it? or, did you hear anyhtgin abotu what they said?"

"Don't grovel!" Sydney said to Shaon, trying to sound angry,"It won't do him or yourself any good!"
He drew his sword and held it to Shaon's throat.
"Now I'm going to ask you one more time, tell me what I want to hear, or your new little lady friend hear gets it!"
Of course, there was no truth to his words, but he still didn't like saying it.

shaon coudl only bring the tears by letting the cold steel draw farther into her hand and draw moe blood. "please don't..." she begged, surprised at how truthful it seemed, even to her good acting it was a stretch...she hated how it sounded so real. But, she remembered this from toher times, and it broguht back fear that was real. she had to struggle to control herself. "just tell him what he wants to know please!!" she cried, her voice tortured with fear that was real.
