Lullabee Don't hit me for voting Eight! He was nice. And the one you'd most want to invite to a sleepover, in my opinion. You could do his hair... and he'd most likely be up for a game of spin-the-bottle... and he'd probably bring jelly babies, too!
Oh, and he was probably the Time War one (can't be sure, we never saw the Time War), even though he was way too nice and sensitive for that sort of thing. The Master tried to kill him, and when said best enemy was about to be sucked into the Eye of Harmony, he tried to risk his own neck to save him! But he wasn't a complete hippie, even if he'd rather threaten himself in order to hijack a motorcycle than anyone else.
Plus, he was arguably the best-looking. Ten's probably cuter, even though he's built like Jack Skellington and dresses like him too, but Five definitely isn't, as he has no eyebrows. Oh, and he was very nearly ginger. Plus, he had a nice voice...
I know if you really don't like him, I can't convince you. Even though you can hardly get annoyed at him for kissing Grace; it's not like Nine and Ten never did any snogging. But if you do like him a bit, but you'd rather vote for one you've seen more of... don't forget Eight! Agreed! Also, Has anyone read the comics? Heard the radio? Those have made him one of my favorites.

I pretty much expected Tennant to come out on top... he's the one most people know nowadays.
I wonder how DT feels, being more popular than Tom Baker? After all, he was such a huge Tom Baker fan when he was little... I wonder if he feels vindicated or upset? If I found myself suddenly outshining one of my childhood heroes, I would feel very humbled and strange.

I wouldn't think so; times have changed, it's a new generation of viewers, and the show has changed along with it. Doctor who is a lot more popular than it used to be, and old sci-fi isn't for everyone... a lot of the newer viewers probably haven't even seen the older series. So if you take that into account, I don't think it's really such a big gap... or issue 3nodding

I like them all (except for colin baker) for their own reasons. WH was more of a family adventure grandfather person, PT was just great XD, I liked the style of the JP episodes, and the master was great, TB was just great XD, PD had good new technology and a good new producer. CB... didn't like him. SMC was good, PM was half human evil , CE was great because it was the new series and everyone was excited, DT started off bad but got better.

I vote Ninth. Don't judge me people! He's just so goofy looking I can't help but love him. Ten is love though too. And Four. I'm remaking the scarf in different colors.

It is only NewWho fans who say that? Are you a NewWho fan? Not just NewWho fans like David, I've watched lots of the classic series (and read novelizations for ones Canada doesn't air) and I still love 10 the best.

Those have made him one of my favorites. Unfortunately, the only thing I've seen or heard of the Eighth Doctor other than the movie is the redo of Shada, which was on the BBC's website and I loved. This is, though, the best defense of the Eighth Doctor I've seen so far and I do agree with almost all of it. I know I'm very far from alone, but I've liked the Eighth Doctor since 1996.
