Lucien watched Scarlett with curious eyes, only wondering what she was going to do with his spear. Obviously, she was thinking about something, but when she threw the spear at another demon's chest, he was utterly surprised. Not at the blood and gore, but that was his spear! It was a hard hit, the demon falling to the ground in a bpool of blood. Glaring, he wanted to argue at Scarlett about it, but he felt dizzy for a moment, staggering get over to the dying demon to retrieve his weapon. He took his spear out of its chest, watching Scarlett, slowly putting it back in the place it hung around his back. Obviously the crows had noticed something, wanting to pick their noses at his live flesh. But the now dying demon was their target, a final glory for the crows.

When Scarlett declared he owed her a new dress, Lucien could only stare at her, as if saying, 'What the f**k, lady?' He just shook his head, muttering to himself angrilly about women's selfish needs for dressware. He left Scarlett behind, not even caring about an exposed back, going on and on about how you couldn't worry about your dress when you're going to be in the middle of a war. It sickened him, in someway. But was somewhat funny. But he didn't yell back a her, make fun of her; he just went his seperate way, now beginning to cheer himself up.

Although, he still felt dizzy, and was losing more blood. Even if a minor wound, it did a lot. through the dark, deformed, gothic walkways of the Underworld he went, until once again he was at hi favorite little spot: the wall he was earlier. Lucien liked it here, for some reason; and as much as he told others how he disliked it, it was a place where he could try and remember things, go over his skills when not training, and other things. hel couldn't order him to train now, right? He'd pass out if something like Scarlett was thrown at him again. He jogged a few paces forward, leaping up onto the wall, where he was sitting on a dirt floor, under a dark, solitude place.

He sat there, the wind dead this time, working on stitching his neck. yes, it seemed odd to be doing it, but Lucien had to do something. And what more than a good needle and thread that he kept in his pocket? the string would grow into his skin like it all did over his demonic body, leaving a stitched scar to his little collection across his body. He couldn't just lie there and bleed to death.

Scarlet shrugged and walked away from the training ground, slightly disapointed that Lucien hadn't responded to her comment in the slightest. She was waiting for an and you owe me a new shirt or something along those lines, but no, nothing had come from him.

She just figured she'd get her kicks later, or from someone else, it wasn't hard to anger a demon in Hel, they were always so short tempered. Of course, as she walked past the demons who had watched her they all cast their glances downwards, not really wanting to upset the female demon. A pity, a true pity.

Thus, dissapointed in both the fight with Lucien as well as with the fact that no one dared challenge her at all, Scarlet walked down the halls of Hel towards her appartment. Basically a hole in the rock walls that made up the underworld. Her appartment was luckily high since she was able to fly and she could get away from most of the demons. The downside was that it was closer to Hel's throne, and she had a slight fear that Hel would want to talk to her about something soon.

Not that she'd know what it would be about, and that's probably what bothered her most. That she'd never know, and more importantly, she was never able to disagree or decline. That's just not how things worked in Hel, or with Hel.

A sigh escaped Scarlet's lips as her footsteps clicked and echoed in the empty coridor that she had just turned down.

Falkor kept his focus into where he though someone or something was sitting on the bed, and to his suprise, a woman appeared. As Gudrun appeared, Falkor's eyes grew wide for nearly a second, but he narrowed his eye lids again. How could it be possible that a valkyrie would show up to him, or even follow him like this, instead of being with the fallen warriors? ''Might be a trap...'' Falkor thought to himself as he kept his eyes on the woman, slowly moving his eyes from her head to feet, then feet to her eyes again, locking his dark green irises with hers.

''This sounds rather fishy. Won't you be punished by the great Odin for not doing your tasks, milady? That is, if you truly are a Valkyrie. I have no idea why you would show up to me, or have an interest in me anyway, other than the fact you might have mistaken me for a demon and wanted to slay me. It still doesn't explain why you kept on observing me, even after the armour was off.'' Falkor told Gundrun with slight harsh tone in his voice. Obviously, he didn't trust her and was still not sure of what was going on in his own room.

It was funny how his very words were reflecting her own thoughts. Gudrun ran a hand through her short hair, her eyes suddenly darting from his but returned just as quickly.
"Like I have said, it is a morbid profession, one which I need to take a break from every now and again. Why I was watching you...I was merely intrigued by your appearance and armour, and I wished to see what exactly lay underneath all of it. Was that so wrong for me to do, to simply observe? If I raised any paranoia in your mind, I must apologize for that. I simply just find it difficult to continue my way of living without a moment to myself once in a while." Gudrun finally sighed heavily and lowered her arms to her sides. "To be truthful, I envy you humans sometimes..."

Falkor listened to Gudrun's words, not moving an inch. When done, he let out of his mouth a silent sigh, as he could now tell the valkyrie didn't mean him any harm, though he was still not sure about what she exactly was; he really did have a hard time believing a valkyrie was actually right in front of him. Falkor walked to the bed and put down Shame on it, right where it used to lay earlier. ''Why do you envy humans? We have nothing to be envied for. Human is a selfish and pathetic race. They do nothing good, or if they do somehow, the action is dirtied by their true selfish and ego-centric intentions.'' He told her. Falkor took his chain mail and put it on before taking his now clean pieces of dark blue armor. The swordsman was now back in his demon looking armor, though didn't put his helmet on just yet, he would wait for what the valkyrie would say.

"Selfish, maybe. But they have the choice in doing so. What freedom do I have to do whatever I wish without suffering the wrath of my master? It is only these breaks are short-lived, few and far between that I have not already been smote by him." Gudrun stepped back to lean against the wall, her arms crossed in front of her chest as her brow furrowed slightly. Humans also had the choice to bear their own offspring; what did Gudrun have to look forward to in that regard?
"And for you, do you follow your own selfish intentions as well?" she asked with a raised eyebrow, a bit upset that he was now fully dressed.

Falkor's eyes left Gudrun's and came back to look in front of him. He closed his eye lids and tilted his head forward, putting his helmet back on his head, giving him back the demon looks. The swordsman opened his dark green eyes again and stared at the wall in front of him. ''I follow survival. I live and fight to survive, and maybe eventually find a purpose in life that would really be worth fighting for. Humans chose which path they may walk, though only to a certain extent...'' Falkor rolled his eyes to the side to look at the valkyrie again. ''I'm sure you can do the same if you would ask the almighty Odin.'' He continued. After his cold words, Falkor turned to the room's door and walked to it. He opened it, though didn't walk out, only turned his head around to Gudrun again. ''I want to go to the forest. Are you coming?''

"Heh. You think it's that easy for me or my kind to ask Odin for anything..." Gudrun pushed off against the wall, uncrossing her arms in the process and made her way over to him. But instead of simply walking, she glided over, her winged sandals bringing her over to him. "Probably it would be best if we introduced each other first? I am Gudrun, a Valkyrie of Odin's charge to see the fallen to Asgard. And yourself, clad in the demon-like armour with the eyes of green?" she asked with a smile on her face. Not only was she going to have fun, but it was going to be of the interesting kind.

Falkor lightly turned his head and looked at Gudrun from the corner of his eye. He stared at her for a moment, silent, then looked back in front of him and walked out of the room. ''Then I guess I should take your word for it and really believe you're a valkyrie. I'm Falkor.'' He replied as he let the valkyrie glide out of the room and closed the door behind her. The swordsman walked to the stairs and down them, making the entire room silent once again as the people who were drinking and hanging out saw the demon looking man again. Falkor stopped, slowly looked around the room and shook his head; he thought Gudrun was following him, so he continued his way to the Inn's door and stepped out of the place. ''Are you sure you want to follow me to the forest, and spend your time around me? Honestly, I don't think I'm worth a divine creature's time.''
PostPosted: Wed Jul 18, 2007 9:06 pm

"Isn't that really for a divine creature to decide, Falkor?" Gudrun asked with a slight smirk. "It would be a good chance to see how you use that...lovely sword of yours when the time arises. Not to mention it prepares me for your journey if you do happen to be so unlucky eventually. Not that I wish that upon you." She stretched her arms over her head and she slid along the air behind him, only seen by him now. So he would probably look insane talking to no one...
She waited until he got further out of the town before getting closer and speaking in a soft voice. "I am also intrigued as to where you obtained such armour and sword. You would make a wonderful addition to Odin's army with those on your side. Not that I wish that upon you..."

Falkor walked in the street of the small town; not as many people were in the streets now, people had ran into their homes either because they had saw Falkor, or because it was the time for wives to make dinner for their husbands. Each step Falkor took made the dust of the dirt road rise and fly up, like if the street came to life only to wrap around the swordsman's feet. To Gudrun's words, the adventurer lightly smirked under his mask. ''I'm starting to think you're planning on back stabbing me or something so I can become an Einherjar quicker. Though, I really wouldn't deserve to be one. Only the good and the braves have the honor of being in Odin's army.''
PostPosted: Thu Jul 19, 2007 4:07 pm

"If that was my intention I would not have revealed myself to you. Nor could I, as that would further incur Odin's wrath if he found I was the one who killed you. As for your bravery, would that also not be for Odin to decide for himself whether you would be fitting for his army?" Gudrun became even more intrigued with his seemingly humble man (or one lacking self-esteem) donned in the heavy, gigantic armour. "Why do you speak of yourself in such terms, Falkor? It does not seem becoming of you...or I am prejudging you based on your appearance." She sped up and floated a bit in front of him, gliding backwards as she faced him. "Does something intrigue you in this forest?"

Falkor closed his eyes and lightly tilted his head forward, shaking it slightly though continuing to walk. ''I know what I have done in my life, and I know I'm not worth it. I'm sure Hel would rather have me in her army than Odin.'' He replied to Gudrun and opened his eyes again. ''As for the forest... They are places I like to be. It's usually quiet, no one to really bother you. It's the only place I can really find peace.'' He continued.

The two finally made it to the entrance of the forest. Falkor looked at the sun, to have an approximation of the time. The sun was setting, looking like a giant orange half lighting up the sky in an lighter tone of orange. The heavy swordsman thought for a second and figured that when he would get back, it would be dark already. He only shrugged and entered the forest, as a breeze blew in the high green leaves and in his helmet's long red hair, making them float in with the sound of the leaves cracking. The human started to walk in the forest and stayed on the small bumpy dirt road that had seem to be there just for him and Gudrun to follow. So tell me... Why are you so interested in me? Other than my armour and weapon, I don't see what I have that would be so eye catching to a valkyrie. Obviously, you saw more interesting before.'' He asked Gudrun, an eye brow perked, looking at her in the eyes.
PostPosted: Thu Jul 19, 2007 8:15 pm

Gudrun's smirk lowered just a smidgen. "What you have done does not mean they were unjustifiable." She flew up a bit higher to hover around the tops of the trees, enjoying the sunset as she shielded her eyes a bit. She was tempted to ask him to join her up here, as a joke, but then the image of her trying to carry him up to that height almost made her laugh out loud. Best he not see the wide smile on her face. "As for my interest in you, you would be surprised as to what valkyries are capable of feeling. To be honest...I desire to be human and enjoy the pleasures of the world....such as raising one's own child..." The last part of her sentence was hinted with a bit of sadness, but it was quickly replaced when she turned to look down at him with a fervent smile. "It is strange that I would want of such a thing, eh? You must think it silly of me to desire such a thing. But it is...one of the reasons why it seems to you that I stray from my chosen task of guiding the dead..."

Falkor looked at the valkyrie all the time she was talking; at first he thought valkyries were much different from humans, but it was now that he realized he thought wrong, although for some reason he didn't think of them as pathetic like he thought of humans, probably because of their rank and tasks. The man shook his head lightly and brought his eyes back on the path, sword in hand pointing behind and scratching the dirt road, leaving it's mark so the swordsman wouldn't get lost. ''You are silly, valkyrie. This world doesn't have a lot to offer nowadays. It has its beautiful places... but they are being destroyed with every wars the humans are starting out of selfishness, for no reason other than they want more land, more power. Then other than that, I don't see what you want in Midgar that is so different from Asgard.'' He said, still in his usual neutral and cold tone of voice. Falkor walked to a tall, wide tree and put his armoured left hand on it, looking up at the tree's leaves. Falkor slowly blinked his eyes as he turned his head around to Gudrun again. ''Raising one's own child... You wish to have a child?''
