Sari was relieved to hear the vehmence in the voices and postures of the others. It wasn't that she hadn't expected it... Truth be told, she hadn't really thought about it at all. But nonetheless, it was good to know that they also cared. Even Rove, who seemed to be the most... Well, the most something of the group, even he really cared. It made Sari smile, which was a beautiful expression that suited her perfectly.
"Well.... To Mara, then, huh Rani?" Sari said softly. Rani's ears flicked back gently, and he snorted. Sari grinned. "Please follow her?" she asked, pointing towards Seorsa's retreating back. Rani looked, then began to walk. Sari leaned herself all the way backwards, so that she was lying her head on his rump, and watched the sky. She wasn't afraid of falling off, or of Rani spooking. She trusted him implicitly. She was, however, very curious to meet this "Mara" person and find out, finally, what they were to be doing.

"We're--" Kaiya took a big gulp before she continued, "walking?" She looked at the path Saya was taking and noticed all the rocks and twigs that were in the way. "Um... Are you sure there isn't a river or something that i can just, I don't know... swim in to get there?" It's not that she was embarassed when she fell down, Kaiya just didn't want to... Okay, she was a little embarassed for falling. Everyone knew how to walk and she felt sort of stupid when she fell even eight steps.
'It's not that bad,' Kaiya tried telling herself as she took a couple of tiny steps. 'Where we go won't be that far.' Then suddenly, she tripped over a rock but she held onto a tree to keep her balance. 'Or maybe it will...' she sighed as she blew some of her bangs out of her face and once again slowly started to walk the same path as Saya.

Saya turned with sympathy in her eyes. She had forgotten about her new friend's trouble with walking. She looked down at Stryker. He was strong. Large for his age. She smiled as an Idea came to her. She turned to those close behind her. "Just go on ahead. It's right over that way." She pointed behind her. The tip of the temple could just be seen over the small hill. It wasn't far. She smiled and nodded for Stryker to follow.
She approached Kaiya with a smile. "Need some help?" She nodded to Stryker again, and he walked in front of Kaiya, turning to his side. "Stryker here will give you a ride. Don't worry. He can take the weight. He's strong for his youth." She smiled warmly again, as if telling her not to be embarassed, and that it was ok. "He doesn't mind it either. I talked to him already."

Kaiya looked from Saya, to the wolf whose name was Stryker, then back to Saya. She wasn't sure if Stryker was able to hold Kaiya'a weight seeing the size of the wolf but she didn't doubt was Saya said about him being strong. Kaiya nodded with a large smile on her face and said, "Thank you so much! I don't know what I'd do if I had to walk all the way there!" She then tapped her chin with her index finger, as if Kaiya were deep in thought, and continued, "Actually, I think I would have tripped the whole way there." Kaiya laughed softly at herself as she faced Stryker.
She got onto him unsteadily with her legs hanging off one side because of her skirt. Kaiya had never rode anything on land before so she was slightly scared about it but she did not show it much. She held on to Stryker's fur, but did not hold it tightly because she did not want to hurt him. "He's not going to run off, is he?" Kaiya asked Saya nervously. Wait, why was she so scared? She was always looking for new things to do. This should be exciting for her. But then again, this was how she always acted before doing something that was unfamiliar to her. "Not that I'm scared or anything," she quickly added. "I've just never done this before."

Saya laughed a bit and scratched behind Stryker's ear. "Don't worry about him running off. He would never do such a thing...he knows what he's in for if he does." She laughed again. "And don't be scared. We'll go slow."
She smiled and nodded for Stryker to start off, walking next to them. They went at a casual place. Slow and steady but not snail-like. "This is your first time on land, right? I know people from Brilthor often don't travel out of the water."

Kaiya gasped as Stryker started to move and held on tight to his fur. But she quickly let go hoping that she did not hurt him at all. "Actually, my friends loved to walk on land. But those were just my friends," Kaiya told her giving her new friend a small smile. "They use to make fun of me for not getting out of the water but it didn't bother me. I loved the water too much to get out," she continued. "But then Alucia called me saying that I had to go to Tarna. It was strange the way she called to me but anyway, after I told my friends I had to leave, they started to crack jokes about how I would get there. Placing bets on how long I'd last," Kaiya said with a sad tone but she quickly hid it as she continued to talk. "But look at me now!" she grinned happily. "I walked all the way to Tarna!"

"Indeed you have, and what a long route you have gone," Rove had turned to the girl and gave her one of his sly smiles, "I think that kind of tenacity shows something awe inspiring in you, it shall be nice to serve along side you," a little twinkle in his eyes glimmered. Perhaps he was hitting on her again, or perhaps he was indeed being truthful to his words and meant just what he had said, with his quick changing in behavior all the time, it would be hard to lay a finger on him. Just the way he liked it too, meant he could get away with more things, even if he would still get blamed here and there as well, it was a risk he always enjoyed. His kind being quick winded, let his mind always work at a quick pace letting him think before saying, of course it would help out if his thinking were always on the right track.
It did not seem like it would take too long to get to the temple, especially after traveling all of those roads and fields. If he wanted to he could rush over there in almost a blink of the eye, but staying with this group made him feel more happy, enclosure was sometimes a good thing, and even though he hardly ever settled down, perhaps he could settle down with this lot. He turned and faced them all with a vibrant smile, "Ah such a grand journey be hold to us, ah its path may be long and wide, and sometimes we must face dangers that we have never thought of before, but as long as we hold a helping hand to one another, we shall behold nothing but kind and fruitful hands. Reap and sow what the plunders of what we have bestowed in our aid to others." He started to wonder perhaps his overzealous remarks would make much sense to them as they did to he, so he decided before risking it to chance he'd add a little more like he always seemed to do, "For you see, look at our dear Kaiya, although this lady came across difficulty across steps, our benevolent Saya has come to the rescue and offered her aid, and now our journey shall be made at ease. I believe as long as we follow in the ways of the kind hearted Saya," he brimmed a smile of delight when he looked at her, "we will be able to overcome anything."
A little silence before flung his finger up in the air, towards the sky, and with a little sigh of eureka, he began to speak once more, "Perhaps that is why the Gods have seen favored with us and marked us with destiny. For they knew that if we worked together, and unite our powers, that I am surely we all have, we can over come anything, even this war of destruction. Just kind and noble hearts of us shall make us endeavor even the harshest of plagues this journey inflicts, and we shall always overcome!" Of course they had barely started and he was already prophesying, but that was him of course, he always liked being in the suns spotlight and sharing his thoughts with everyone. Some would think thoughts should be kept inside their head, Rhovanion was definitely not one of those people.

'Why is he looking at me like that?' Kaiya thought as she smiled at him, though still a bit wierded out. As Rhovanion continued with his talking, she still held her smile, but it was slowly fading. 'He sure likes making these long speeches, doesn't he?' Once he was done talking, Kaiya laughed softly and asked, "You like to talk, don't you?" She wasn't really bothered by it. He just seemed like he was acting more professional than anything. "I don't mean it in a bad way. You just seem like a... um... a very talkative man," she added, not wanting to hurt his feelings.

Wow she surely spoke what was on her mind did she not? Perhaps she too had a little Hwesta in her, although he could tell from the way she walked and the way she looked that was probably not the case, at least she seemed to know to share one feelings like he did. Perhaps it was a beginning of similarities. However the thing that got him smiling most was not that they had something in common it was that she she also had some sincerity to her, as if she really did not mind him rambling too much, just seemed curious of the sorts. It made him feel a bit more at ease and... happy. So with that he turned to her with another one of his brimming smiles that seemed to almost shine with the sun's rays, perhaps something he got from the Kalina, "Well it is all a matter of opinion about if I am a talkative man or not. My friends can actually chat up quite a storm themselves, more so then me, but they are generally more quiet then I am, I probably have to say the reason I am so chattery and eccentric is because of my mother's side who happens to be Kalina," he stopped and smiled as he thought about his mother and her homeland, "they always spoke with such enthusiasm, it just rubbed off," he stopped for a second and realized he was ranting yet once again, " You know, now that you mention it I have grown quite fond of talking. It lets one tell all that is on their mind so they don't have anything to hold them down inside, tis a good feeling indeed." As he finished talking, he started to pet the wolf's head as he looked back up to her, "I am just glad you did not mean it in a bad way," he laughed a bit, "However I don't think the others share the same sentiments, eh?"

"Hm..." Kaiya thought back and remembered how the others reacted when Rhovanion first arrived in the group. "Yeah," she let out a small laugh. "I guess they don't, but at least you feel comfortable with doing so. That's what counts, right? So don't let people get to you about it." Kaiya gave him a kind smile, showing that she understood. Like what she had just told Saya, Kaiya's friends alyways made fun of her because she was uncomfortable with walking on land and she only stayed in the water. Ov course Kaiya didn't let that bother her one bit. Though she did regret not learning how to walk. "But from the looks of it, you don't let other people bother you about it anyway," Kaiya said, continuing to smile.

Sev waited for everyone to start walking before he did, trailing behind everyone with silent steps. His eyes were closed as he followed them, somehow not running into any trees or brush. 'It seems someone can stand his chatter' he thought as he listened to the two speak. Since they talked of letting out feelings he decided he'd give them a taste of his. "Yes, don't let my annoyance bother you, I'll get used to your dialogue in time," he said with a hint of humor in his voice. He let out a short chuckle as the smallest grin appeared on his face. Raising his head his purple eyes looked to Rove's and then to Kaiya's, giving her a slight smile. He looked up the hill to where the temple resided, trying not to think so hard about what sort of 'mission' this Mara girl would set them on.

Sari had just been quietly listening to the others chatter away. It wasn't that she was inherently such a quiet person... It was just that large groups made her a little nervous, and whenever she spoke up in them, her voice got drowned out. It wasn't so bad just to listen to them talk, though Rove did seem to do a whole lot of it. Sari began to speak up when Rove claimed his Kalina heritage as the cause for his chattiness, but lo... She did get talked over. Sari looked down a little, smiling softly to herself; it wasn't as though she hadn't expected it.
It did surprise her a little, though, just how much of Rove's talking Kaiya seemed able to take. I'm glad he has someone he can chatter with, though, Sari thought, turning her head back again to look skyward. Maybe I'll get along with one of them, too! The thought made her smile. Less so did the accompanying, But for that, I'll have to speak up...
Sari just didn't know what to say. Finally, she just took a breath and spoke. "Where are all of you from? I mean... we can guess about some," the girl began, smiling encouragingly at Kaiya, "but I'd like to hear about it from all of you." To most, their homelands might be obvious, but Sari had never really been outside her village. She didn't know what the peoples of other lands looked like (beyond the legends, of course, and no one here looked like anything out of any of those).
"I'm from Me'a... My mother was Kalima and my father Shae," Sari continued a little nervously, her seafoam eyes looking at her new companions for the familiar traces of judgement at the revelation. But they didn't yet know she was a b*****d... I think I should keep that to myself... Sari thought as she waited for their replies.

Stryker cringed a bit as Rove touched his head, but didn't show it, and didn't bother to move. He wasn't fond of having anyone touch him but Seorsa. He had allowed Kaiya to ride him only because of her situation. He let it happen, though, and wagged his tail as if a dog. Saya only laughed, until she heard Saya speak up.
Indeed, the conversation between Kaiya and Rove was a bit loud for Sari's quiet voice. And now Sev had joined in with them, but Saya heard. Living in the forest had trained her to hear every small detail. She smiled and looked over at the girl, turning herself away from the other conversation. The three of them seemed to be ok without her.
"You're from Me'a? That's great! I've always wanted to go see it, as well as Brilthor. I always thought the enlessness of the plains and the ocean would be a sight to behold. Me? I'm from Arda. The forest there is endless as well, but it would only appear as a sea of trees from the sky. On the ground, it's just an endless maze of plants." She laughed a bit. She loved her land, but it was true. The forest was confusing, even for someone who had lived there a lifetime. Even she got lost a few times.
She had heard Sari's comment about being of mixed blood, but she didn't care in the least. Kayen were always taught to be accepting of all things. In their beliefs, everything had a purpose, no matter the way it was born.

Sev still watched from behind as Saya talked with Sari. Of course he heard her comment, even though she was so quiet, but living in such a quiet and peaceful land had made it easy for him to hear the quietest of phrases. He just closed his eyes once more, listening to where they came from, their origins, not very suprised that Sari was from Me'a, but a little more so that she was from Brilthor, although he had noticed the strange color of her eyes. When all was quiet he spoke up, "I am from Maloch," he said quietly but surely, his purple eyes looking into Sari's seafoam ones, but only for a moment. He looked down at his silently walking feet, listening for the rest of the chatter to continue.

"You're part Shae?!" Kaiya exclaimed in shock to Sari. She never knew someone who was part Shae. But then of course, Kaiya never really left the water either. "I'm a Shae!" she continued with a smile. "But I'm not part Shae. Both my parents are Shae's." It was cool to Kaiya that she wasn't the only, in a way, Shae there.
Kaiya then looked over at Saya and said, "And you want to see Brilthor, Saya? I should show you around! There are so many things that I could show you!" The excitement in her voice then lowered when she remembered that Saya would probably have trouble underwater. Kaiya could stay underwater for, basically, the rest of her life, but for someone who is not a Shae, it would be very difficult to stay underwater. "Well, I can't show you some things. But I can still show you other things like this small crystal cave!"
