A roar echoed through the halls, and Shaydra and Roaux sped past the two humans sparring but were stopped by a big ogre. Both of the dragons had no weapons in their hands and used their bare teeth and claws, though Shaydra had her pencil out, ready to draw.
Shaydra drew some daggers in the air, caught them, and hurled it at the ogres in front of her. "Take that!" she snarled. Three fell backwards, the dagger protruding from foreheads, chests, and necks.
Suddenly, a blue fire with edges of black lit up the tunnel. The area smelled of burned ogre. Roaux leapt ahead, flames pouring out of his maw. "We have to fight our way out of this tunnel!" he snorted, fire racing out of his nostrils.

Shaydra growled, clawing a couple of ogres. "The humans fell!" she grunted at Roaux. She leapt at the ogre that had knocked them out, sinking her teeth in his neck before he could finish off Luxran and Lineon. Throwing his corpse aside, she fought over the two human's limp bodies.
"Then we have to carry them out!" Roaux snarled. Leaping over Shaydra, he grabbed the back of Lineon's collar and hoisted her into a large message-carrying bag that Roaux always wore. "You have to get Luxran!" he snorted, burning a couple of ogres with his blue fire and making Lineon sneeze unconciously as she inhaled the dust.
Shaydra grabbed Luxran's prostrate form and wrapped his arms around her neck, keeping them together by tying them together. She snorted silver dragon dust into his face to wake him up. Together, she and Roaux forged a path out, leaving a path of dead bodies in their wake. The dragons ran out of the tunnel, with ogres hot in pursuit.
As soon as they were out of sight of the fortress, they lifted into the air, angling to the direction of the lake nearby.

Shaydra called from overhead, "Are you sure? I can see them coming. How are you going to get away from them? And how about Lineon?"

Shaydra stared at Luxran uncertainly. She opened her mouth as if to say something, but then thought better and veered out of sight with Roaux following.

Shaydra flew far, stopping when the river widened and became the lake. She dropped down onto the lakeshore, bending down and taking a big drink of water.

Roaux came flying in after her, landing next to a patch of moss. He hefted Lineon onto the soft moss and heaved a sigh. "She's heavy," Roaux snorted, taking a drink from the lake.
What should we do?" Shaydra sighed, staring at the shimmering minnows in the lake. "We need his help to plan out what to do next. He's seen the fortress before and knows some of it."

"I guess we wait," Roaux said. "Now, I'm hungry. They don't feed you while you're being tortured." Saying so, he took a big jump and dove into the lake. He swam around, scooping fish into his mouth.

Shaydra sighed again and looked up in the afternoon sky.
