MsRoseLovingJo could qualify because if you look it up in an english dictionary Jo is OLDE ENGLISH for sweetheart (chiefly Scottish around 1529). Also there was the War of the Roses (although I am not sure which side I would have chosen, really) also rose refers to an easy or pleasant task. Lady was already taken - so I figured that modern day equivalent would be Ms. How is everyone?

I see... Well, since the more the merrier, I'm gonna include you in the lotto as well. I'll be returning next week to check if there are any new names that qualify and if not, well... We'll have to wait til next month for a new list.
In the mean time, if you are a newbie on the guild and want to share about why you chose yer user name, go ahead!
PS: If you want to see the list of names who qualify for the prize, you might want to check page 3 for my post (Oct 5th) and see if you are in there (after you post of course). This is for everyone btw!

Ok, it's the 3rd of the month so, like I promised, here's my post announcing the winner!
Congrats to whoever it was! I shall be posting on the first page the name later as I don't know who it'll be as I'm writing this.
I'll be returning this Friday to post the list of participants for the lotto of December. I'll also be posting the prize or prizes, whichever the case may be.
BTW, Soriniath will be able to participate as the two months period is over.

I know it's still a days till Friday but I think I finally have figured out how I want to run things for this month's lotto. You see, since it's the season to be silly, I mean, jolly, he-he... I want to award up to 3 or 4 members with a prize each; a "Gaia Cash Shop" item to be precise. Sounds good? If it does, you should keep reading in case you want one of them. There's really only one rule for entering and it's quite simple:
You see, the only "real" catch is this, members have to be active in order to qualify for the prizes. And by this I mean that I'll be looking at the members list and if their post count doesn't increase by at least 10 posts (a member should at least post something new each day) by December 21st, they shall be disqualified. But that's not all, I'll also be looking at their recent posts to make sure they're not just "bumping" to make their count rise the "easy" way. You guys have to make quality posts as well or that's grounds for immediate disqualification right there. Note that if you do not want to be disqualified, you should not change your user name. If you DO change it though, you should at least let me know via PM before December 19th so we can do something about it.
So, if the members (Sorry that I am not including crew members) who are on this list keep their post count as it is, they will not qualify for any of the prizes and will be removed from the list before the announcement of the winners. The members list and their post count is as follows:

Oh and by the way, the following members are nowhere to be found on the members list so I won't be able to include them in the lotto:

If I see them being active then I shall add them to the official list; however, they must do so before January 20th to be able to qualify. I'll also PM them but if I don't receive an answer before the deadline, I just won't include them on the list.

Thank you Jasta! I decided to exclude crew members cuz they have a responsibility to be active here and well, since most of us are...
After all, I want regular members to become as active as possible and this contest type lotto will help in that (or at least I hope it will). Sorry to exclude you Jasta as yer one of the most active crew members we have but, well, you know... sweatdrop
BTW, I just sent out a PM to each of the members on the list who need to have more posts to be able to participate. I also sent out PMs to those 4 who do not appear on the members list so I can find out if they are still on the guild or not.
Also, if I find that not many members are active and qualify for the list, there shall be no contest and I'll just stop organizing a lotto altogether (meaning no more lotto next year). The least amount of members that the list should have is 5 so that things can be interesting. So now that you know, I hope more members become active for this.

So, since Friday came about I'm here to post the list of members who are, as of now, eligible to participate in this month's contest/lotto/whatever. As of right now, I'm a bit disappointed to see that only three members are willing to become more active for this. Above, in this very same post, you should see the list of prizes and at least two of them can be yours if you win one of the 4 first places. First, the list:
1. Leihiar (Formerly Raihlei; I'm not taking her out cuz she didn't exactly change her name, she just re-arranged the letters in her name.)
2. Fauxlorne
3. Amaeli
4. Gornwen
Please everybody, we only need two more active members.
As you can probably imagine, the skeleton skin, the white collar shirt and the balloon animal will be the first prize, the two that follow will be second, the other two (Mimzy & holo grid wall tile) will be third and, the last two shall be awarded to 4th place. If I don't see at least 5 members (from the list on my post in the document shape (the one dated Tue Dec 04, 2007) being active then this contest will be void and nobody shall win anything. Meaning I get to keep the items.
I'll keep visiting the forums each day to check who actually posts often and meaningfully so I can enter them on the list in this very post. I'll also be checking out the members list for post counts (when I can). Obviously, the member who has the most meaningful posts by at least January 20th or 21st shall be the winner of first prize. I considered extending the deadline to those dates in the hopes that more members will get in the spirit of things. 3nodding

Fauxlorne - was actually my third choice of a name.
My original name for everything online is Cujunga, which is a Wayne's World reference. ((I've had it since Prodigy!)) That was my Gaia name till that account died. Then I tried Fauxreal. It was perfect! Delightfully fake and still so genuine. It was also to close to someone elses name?!!!

So - I used Fauxlorne - I thought it had a nice perky goth thing going on.
My mule is Fauxpaw. I want to dress it up like a an animal of some type one day.
I know my name isn't very medieval - but it's all fantasy!

Thank you Fauxlorne, but it seems you are the only one who has posted that remains active and none of the other members seem to even care. Too bad cuz if yer the only one by next month, nobody will win anything. I need at least 4 others to get into the spirit of things. And the worst part is that I can't find Raihlei on the members list anymore. Did she quit the guild? Did she change her name? I don't know but I'm going to send out a PM to find out. 3nodding

Well, this is my report:
I found out about Raihlei and she tells me she can't be here often but I hope she will come back when she can.

Thank you for sending me the PM, hypnocrown. I certainly appreciate the reminder. Amaeli is the username I always choose to use whenever I do not want a handle which includes more personal information, like my last name or something along those lines. I created it one day by combining the 3 letters that begin both my first and middle names. That way, I would be able to put a little part of me into the name without divulging too much about myself. I liked the way it rolled off the tongue when I spoke it, and it sounded rather Elven to me. So, I have been amaeli ever since then.
