Yes! And I hope that we DON't get that big. Yikes. xd I mean, if we did but 3/4s of the RPs were advanced or intermediate, that might be worth it, but the general run of things is that 1/10 are advanced or intermediate.

School Of Dedicated RPers Xx_Nobody_xX Why just roleplaying? Why not have a section for writing (as in stories) and guild contests. It would probably bring more people to the guild and also give people a chance to earn a bit of gold or items. Oh, and an OOC section would be wonderful. That way, after an RP has been started, people in that RP can go and talk about the RP and junk in that thread instead of clogging up the RP and a persons' "mail"box. I don't know, just thought it would be interesting. So... yeah. PIRATES! pirate Thanks, I find your suggestions at least interesting and may consider them more seriously at a later date. I'm saying no to the OOC one though because people are allowed to create a second thread for their OOC chatter if they wish. I think it's better to have the OOC thread in the same place as the RP. Now, a random chatter subforum? Maybe. Eh. Guild Contests? Not right now. I would love to do contests, but we have so few that they don't warrant their own subforum right now. Right now they go in the main forum. Since we are moving most of the RPs out of the main forum, it should be less cluttered and I think that having the contests there or in their appropriate subforums (like a character contest in the Character subforum) should work. Writing? I love writing. I have to decide if that is a can of worms or not. I used to moderate the writing forum and people can get kinda pissy about their work. But maybe we can keep it kinda more related to RPing (rather than just duplicating the writing forum) by focusing on stories and story fragments related to RP characters. It's kinda an argument of semantics at that point, since every character is a potential RP character. But if we had this we would be more accepting of story fragments than the writers forum because that is more conducive to and results often from RPing. We have a couple of threads now where people are supposed to critique each other's posts (story fragments, really) and some other threads that are about improving your writing... I'll think about it. Thanks for thinking about and maybe coming back to my ideas later. The main reason I added the contest part in is because I have gold I honestly don't need and other people are questing. Maybe you could convert the section you have on fragments to all kinds of writing. Then we can have the fragments and just plain writing pieces, though this is entirely up to you.

Yeah, I was in one that big, and a moderator. I ended up leaving because when ever I would join an RP, there would be so many people I would post and get no response. It was beyond agrivating. Oh and what is the difference between Beginning and Advanced? Is it someone's ability to RP? (I've never seen anything like this. It is really interesting.)
Okay, I went and read the description for both of them (something I should have done earlier, but instead I was browsing the isles and selecting different items that seemed appetizing). That really is a smart idea, the only problem I see is are they going to be able to grow out of the "*...*," grammatic errors, spelling mistakes (which I make all too often when I type, though thoughs are usually typos), and everything else when they are just surrounded by the same old thing. One of the beginner RPers would have to have the initiative to branch out. Though it really is a smart idea.

One thing I would be interested in, though I'm not sure how much other demand there would be for it, is, given the small amount of dice based games, a list of all of them, perhaps indicating what system they are, so that those who aren't interested in freeform can more easily find RPs they'd be more interested in?

School Of Dedicated RPers Xx_Nobody_xX xXSaved By GraceXx What about really specific subforums such as Romance Highschool RP, Fighting School RP Village RP, Stuff like that And if I didn't say the following, I would be a liar, I do like having power...but occasionally I get un-active when I do that...but now I own a guild...and am a moderater in 2 and active in all...so ya...(PS I am gaia the most in my family) The only problem with real specific sections with a guild this size (not saying it is small... well... I kind of am, but that isn't a bad thing!!!) is that some will remain inactive and be uncirculated. Until we get more members there really is no need at this time. Maybe larger sections, like School RP, Future RP, etc. Another reason, honestly, is because the most popular genres are not usually the genres that I particularly like. That is, if you consider School RP to be a genre. What I mean is that the most popular genres are generally associates with noobetry, but if I create the genres that I think are awesome then they might not all get as used. ok....something im wondering about the school RPing.....WHY WOULD ANY ONE WANT TO?!?!.....everyone spends a good part of there lifes going through school why the heck would you want to do it again?.........but i guess everyone is into something........now that im done with that i want to ask......has any one here yet tried to start something for teaching how to run a dice driven game?.....or play in one.......i dont know never played one myself in a forum so maybe that just wouldnt come up would it...... but there is a dice roller built in........now come to think of it there is a guy in the main folder asking for people who's played D&D.......so i guess maybe that is coverd......but i myself enjoy the D10 system used in white wolf and am wondering about that.......would any one be interested and who's never herd of it befor?...........AND WHY AM I SO LONG WINDED?!?!?!....~go' s and bangs my head in a wall~

Hmm, you know, that writing thing sounds interesting. We have short-stories and multi-chapter stories for our RP, it'd be fun to have a place for them. xd

One of the beginner RPers would have to have the initiative to branch out. Though it really is a smart idea. I agree, but even in the beginner RPs there are different levels and not all of them are there for just grammar and spelling mistakes. A number of the Beginner's RPs want to become Intermediate, and I just moved one who had worked on his introduction. It's always going to be about the person's initiative. They know that they are at a beginner level because they are in the beginner forum, but nothing is stopping them from looking at or even trying to join intermediate RPs, or going to the Questions subforum for help, or to the Character Development forum for help. Also, we really hope to have a lot more information up, more detailed explanations of the levels and advice on how to improve, even for the advanced RPs. I just don't have the time to do it myself right now. Any one interested in helping with those two stickies (the only stickies in the new Level 1 and level 2 subforums) can PM me.

If you want to create a thread like that you can, and you can link to RPs or info outside the guild, too. Depending on how detailed the thread is and what is in it, we could make it a sticky or something, but we'll see. You can make it in the main forum if you are linking to RPs, but if you are more giving advice and other information then it should go in the Questions subforum. Galvorte Not sure if there ARE any dice based games currently going, except for one that I don't really understand yet. Right now we are overloaded with every thing else for the guild, though. So I want to start it but right now our current mods don't have the time to write a sticky for it or any thing like that. As with any thing else, any one who would want to help with a big project like that should PM me.
