Jaden face changed, and almost turned white. "M-My mother?" She had water building up in her eyes, and look confused, "What are you talking about?!" She stood up quickly, pushing the chair back, "What do you know?!" She yelled at him, but more of yelling out of fear, instead of rage.

He wanted to grin widely, but kept his face casual. This was how he was hoping she'd react. "Well, it seems that it was no 'boating accident'," he said, making quotes in the air. "In fact your mother was, shall we say, killed. Yes, it's a tragic death," he lamented, "that seems awfully unfair. But you see, Freebird, this is where we have something in common. Your mother was hunted down by Aurors from the Ministry of Magic." He laughed, thinking in his mind what a joke of magical law enforcement they were. "They killed her, Freebird. They killed her for trying to survive. But no fear, she still lives on as a hero in my Lord's eyes." He grinned as the light played on his own eyes, casting a golden glint.

Jaden sat back down, tring to take all this in. She held her head down, "Why should I believe you? Why should I believe anything you are saying? How do you know about this?!.." She paused, and looked up with questionable eyes, "Why are you telling me this?"

"Let's just say that I have contacts," he grinned as he rummaged through his robe pockets. He removed something in it, and kept it clasped in his hand. "It seems that she was on the run, she knew she was being chased. But she went down magnificently, I must say. I hear that she is repsonsible for one of the scars on Mad-Eye's face," he said with a satisfied smile. "But if you must have proof..." He opened his hand to let a star-shaped pendant dangle from his fingers. He kept it close to him, but played with the chain in his hands, the pendant swaying back and forth as he watched Jaden. "When she fell, she threw this necklace from her. Her owl picked it up and delivered it to the Dark Lord, as per her request, along with a letter." He slowly held out the pendant to her, though maintained a firm grip on its chain.

Jaden stared at the pendant, and tears flowed out of her eyes, she stood up, "I had no idea.." She grabbed the pendant, but did not take it out of his hands, "I can't believe this.." Crushed her eyes shut to force out the water, she sniffed and looked up, straight into Icarus eyes, "What am I supposed to do?" She stood up straight, looking as if an idea pulled her upright, "Avenge her death?" She covers the pandant with her entire hand, and squeezes it.

Icarus sneered and palmed the pendant once again in his fist, bringing it back to him. "Freebird, you can do whatever you want. All I have come to ask you for is your assistance." He pulled up the robe on his sleeve to reveal the tattoo on his arm, blazing black, of a skull with a snake protruding from its mouth. He was proud of his Dark Mark and would do what he could to prove he was worthy of it. "You know that the Dark Lord has once again come to power. This school is swarming with those filthy Mudbloods that oppose him. We need a larger opposition against Potter and his friends. Once we leave this school, we will be rewarded handsomely. But, I must warn you, that the Dark Lord does not forgive easily. To enter into his service means you can't go back. And Freebird," he smirked, "to speak of this to anyone will of course mean severe punishment. Prove your worth and you may be able to do your mother justice." He opened his fist above Jaden's open hand and dropped the pendant onto her palm.

Jaden stared at the pendant, thinking. She walked around the room, with her head down, and went to sit on the other side of the bed, with her back to Icarus. She held up the pendant, so it would shine in the light shinning in. She looked at the rainbows in the room, she smiled. She whispered to herself, Mom.. She turned her head to Icarus, and got up. She walked over and put the pendant around her neck. "Count me in." She sneered.

Icarus got up from his chair. "Splendid," he said as he walked back over to his bed and flopped down. "Well, Freebird, that's all I have for you. I will let you know when I require you again. Until then, you are bound to secrecy. Goodbye."

She looked back at him, and then back around. She tucked her necklace in her shirt, so no one would ask her questions. She headed back downstairs to the common room. She went over to cloud and squatted down. She looked him in the eyes, and kissed him on the forehead. Cloud started to purr. She smiles, and goes over to a couch, and flops down. She sighs.

Will returns to the common room from the lake as if he jut got out of the shower. his hair was no longer its normal dark brown it was now black and his eyes were a deep green. he sits in a chair and looks at the fire for a couple seconds than glances at jadens neck, he smirks than looks away.

Icarus layed back down on his bed, his hands behind his head and his knees bent. He smiled at nothing in particular. "Mother, I'm doing you proud," he said softly. Soon I will be able to be with her again. His smile faded and he turned on his side to stare out the small window near the ceiling. The sun was shining, though the castle wall only allowed shadow to fall into the already mostly-dark room. He sighed. Only two more years left in this school, he thought disgustedly, and I can be free of this monotony. He lay in bed a few more minutes before finally getting up and walking downstairs to the common room. It was time for dinner and he was rather hungry.

Entering the room casually, Draco was followed by a shabby-looking house elf dragging his trunk in tow, in obvious distress. It didn't look like a light trunk by any means. Draco yawned and pointed at the set of steps that led to the dormitory. "Set it over there and be quick about it," he snapped. The house elf paused, looked up the stairs and his ears drooped wearily. "Yes, m-master," he said, wiping his brow with his dirty pillowcase shirt. He heaved the trunk up higher and began to ascend the staircase. Draco walked over to the table, noticed a nice pile of muffins, took one, smelled it, unwrapped it, threw the paper on the floor and took a bite before flopping down on the couch. He looked up and saw Luft. He smiled. "Hello, Luft. It's been a while."

will shakes his head and looks out the small window out towards the ravenclaw tower, as if he was thinking about something. he temained silent as he sat there.
