There was a distinct undercurrent of outrage and anger in her voice. If she came face to face with him, Victor Fah would rue the day he messed with the bonded of a dragon... She vowed it so.

"When she was recovered from Babel... it was weeks before we could coax a word from her... Apparently when Victor apprehended her, he used her pregnancy to subdue her... He was the one who informed her of the life growing within her womb... She didn't want to believe him, but she knew it to be true. She could not endanger the lives of her unborn children... and so she was forced to be compliant."

Her hands clenched and unclenched as she relayed the information to him. It had cost Sierra so much to tell Asai everything back then... even now she was haunted... her psyche was so fragile--- She should have never let her go off to the tournament!

"While she was in Victor's care, she was subjected to unspeakable abuse... We were concerned that the children would have been corrupted but the worst of the damage seems to be Vahl's blindness. No small casualty but comparatively less than we feared. There were more normal complications as well, the physical and mental stress she endured... a normal woman would have miscarried... she nearly did..."

'She was so broken...'

She didn't have to go into details... how Vahn and Sun had found her.... what had been done to her.... It was an unspoken knowledge that hung heavily in the air between them.

"All the more reason for me to find him. And to bring her back here."

He rose from his seat now, a cold sweat clinging to him as he felt his hands go clammy. He felt a subtle shudder run through his body. The anger inside of him was threatening to burst into a tumult of rage...and his right arm was shaking visibly now.

The negativity inside of him was....

"Hrk..." He grabbed at his right forearm, steadying it forcefully. "Look--- I'll do what I can to care for the children, but I can't be a father right now. People need me as something else-- I can be a father later. If we all even make it."

"..."

She looked at his arm intently, as he struggled to choke back his temper. Laying her hands idly in her lap, her features took on a look of consideration as she ran something through her head.

"It occurs to me, that it would be unwise to divide your efforts... having you fight two wars at once would halve your chances."

If he looked lost, or made a move to ask her what she meant, she would reply...

"The second war I speak of, is the one you wage against yourself. We will help equip you against yourself, so that you can focus on the enemies that lay elsewhere."

"I have had plenty of people try their hand at fixing all the different things that seem to be wrong with me. And it gets pretty old fast, I'll tell you that much."

He turned, facing her.

"I'll be fine; eventually. I always am."

He was being stubborn and he vaguely realized it, but of course his pride wouldn't ever allow him to fully understand it.

"But as we cannot afford 'eventually' due to the situation being what it is... we will offer you what aide we can. Be it old or new or whatever you wish to deem it."

The dragoness clearly had made up her mind. There would be no persuading her that he could go it alone. With matters as grave as they were, she wouldn't leave things to chance.

Vahl, seemingly oblivious to the seriousness of the conversation clutched at Vahn. In the darkness that was the world, he was a burning brilliant heat and felt warm and safe. She cooed softly rubbing her pudgy little cheek against him.

"Reiyvian.. before you attend the Raven and the Wolf, see to the Scion's control."

"Of course."

Reiyvian smiled politely while she played peek-a-boo with Kelios.

"You know... I spent so long being a kid... I had given up on the chance of being able to ever have a family myself...kind out of place...considering I was too busy killing people left and right anyway."

He stared at Vahl, brushing a single finger along her forehead, before straightening himself out.

"I don't need any healing. What do need, is to find someone who can help me better use what I have.

When I was Guldor... I met someone I almost wished I'd never see again. The man who had given me the personal effects of Efreet in the first place. It was there I...gained something.

At least I think I sort of did, since apparently I always had it in me and just never bothered figuring out how to use it.

But I can't really use it anymore as it is, because the amount of power I need to access it is always being taken away by this---" He tapped his left eye, indicating the subtle scarring and the discoloration in the irises that this was not his original eye.
