<******** mind backpedaled and quickly turned the answer around.
"You'd say that even if you'd lost a pint of blood..."
Humour coloured his voice, and the slight embarrassment. As chaste as the kiss was, it made him flush, as if Rei had caught them somewhere in the middle, instead of just afterwards. He shook his head to recover some semblance of himself as she spoke to them both.
"Nah, wouldn't want to cause a panic or anything..."
Sun grinned at Rei in a way that left no guess, as to how much amusement and chaos his own naked body amongst the general staff would affect him. If Reiyvian looked like a stern mother, the two boy's looked like friends who'd been caught before an evil plan.
He accepted the robe, staying seated as it was handed out to him, and wrapped himself up. The way he tucked himself inside made the red head appear smaller and younger then he actually was. When he saw what Vahn was wearing his eyes widened a little and his mouth went dry, he promptly found the floor a lot more interesting. To his credit, his voice didn't crack when he spoke again.
"Don't worry, I'll stay put this time..." Sure. He'd seen Vahn naked, in reality nothing was left a mystery about the other man's body...but damn...those black leggings really hugged around the back....
Don't watch him walk up the stairs, don't watch him walk up the... Some mantra's work, after a fashion...

Reiyvian had to hold the impulse to burst out laughing in check... the look on Sunstrike's face when he beheld the Scion in the leather breeches was incredibly funny. It took all her training as a priestess of the holy light and as a healer to school her face in it's neutral expression.
"In that case, I will bid you farewell until morning my friend. Rest well and we will talk about heavy hearted subjects after you are better recovered to help deal with them."
She would bow gracefully as she headed up the stairs. It was clear that Vahn was to follow, but she also wanted to give him a brief moment to say goodnight. He would be able to catch up quickly enough....

"Hey...." Yellowed eyes caught the redhead's even as his head canted down and to the side in slight annoyance.
He was doing his best to not let a flush get to his cheeks, feeling silly enough as it was in the form hugging clothing.
"Come on now..."
He let a hand fall atop the mopish head, fingers moving in and rustling locks of hair. "I promise I won't run away this time. I'll be back for you."

"In those pants?"
Yeah, there was a slight tinge of teasing hope at the end of the question. He was confident about Vahn returning in one piece. Mostly because Reivyian was a force to be reckoned with...and the fact that Sun trusted that Vahn would do his best.
By this time, Sunstrike would be a fool if he thought fate couldn't punch you in the mouth and jump on you a few times when you make promises like that, however. He took the ruffling hand and pressed his lips to the fingertips, an almost feudalistic gesture of affection.
"Go. I'll wait for you."
Despite the mantra, he would watch Vahn go up the stairs, a silly little grin on his face as he enjoyed the view, before promptly getting up and beginning to pace/limp the floor, robe hanging open and billowing slightly whenever he turned. The movements had quite a brooding and rather dark impact, even while nude. This was a bad habit he'd never really gotten rid of from the transition of one life into the next, and would embarrass him if anyone caught the red head in the act.
Right now, though, what Reiyvian had said earlier about darker things to talk about, worried him. He wanted to be able to deal with it...but his leg made such things impossible. The metal caught whatever light and reflected a strange greenish black, a subtle contrast to the reds and oranges.
What on earth would they find for him to do in the time ahead?
He knew who he could ask...but that meant leaving the room, that meant healers wrath...he blinked up at the opening at the top of the stairs, and promptly sat down again, the stark white robe fanning out behind him as he sat cross-legged, fist under chin.
Sun would rest first, there was no need to face wrath with a tired face, after all.

One corner of the reception area in the Healing centre was always kept clear, for this very reason. It was the space reserved for the Gatekeeper's use. Silvery tendrils crawled up the walls from the marble floor and twined together like crawling vines, forming a shimmering arbour that opened a gateway. And through it from the Crimson Hawk Hotel in Latent, came Reiyvian and with her Lazenca, both members of GUARDIAN. It was Reiyvian herself who oversaw the healing division-- and so it wasn't too surprising that healers from all divisions rushed to see what the priestess needed in terms of aide. Reiyvian smiled apologetically at Lazenca for the commotion and held up her hands to quiet the questions. "I need two senior Shori Tandraer and two Barer Caelaes. We have an arm to set and a leg to reattatch. But give us some privacey until I call for you."Without waiting to see who it was who would be assisting her, she rolled Laz into an operating room, answering his question about Owle in hushed tones. "This is not to be repeated, for Owle's personal life and her past is her own. But she is, was... it's a little blurry that bit-- a goddess. She possesses incredible psychic ability. On par... possibly superior to my own. She would make a powerful ally for anyone. What we know of Owle however, is that she is generally neutral and decides things on her own, not out of ideals or loyalties. She walks her own path.
Besides that is her history with the Scion... or as you know him, Vahn. Victor takes interest in anything dear to his brother, seeing it as a matter of--- leverage." Reiyvian would help him out of the wheelchair and onto the table. She decided to continue with the expose before the other healers joined them, for this was information not widely known outside of GUARDIAN, even here at the Dark Sakura. "We are preparing for war Lazenca. Victor Fah, Vahn's brother, has begun a process through a series of rituals and sacrifices that will destroy Gaia. He believes he is saving the planet-- by killing everyone.
Besides him... there is Ra'kar. You may know her better as Sierra. And while they are not the same person, Sierra is the reincarnation of Ra'kar'shei'lian. They come from a world known as Endar'ah. As do I and as does Shin.
Ra'kar was once good, one of four Guardian beings created by the elves to protect the earth. However, during the great Elf wars, the guardians were corrupt and turned into demons. The Guardians were avatars of the elemental goddesses. Ra'kar is the avatar of Fire and Darkness..."She paused to see if he had any questions so far, and to make sure he was following everything all right up to this point.

"Who are the other Guardians, if it matters?"
The question came after a bit of apparently-blank staring and silence. Now, she was free to think that it was because he was confused and dumbfounded, shocked into silence, but since they knew him... surely she'd understand that he wasn't dumb as he looked in those few seconds.
But he really did look kinda dumb.
"And pardon the rather... selfish question, but what can I offer you, other than muscle? Or is that enough?"

She smiled a secretive smile, for a moment.
"The four are Ky'shian, Avatar of Wind and Storms. Mysdrena, Avatar of Earth and Water. Ra'kar'shei'lian, Avatar of Fire and Darkness and..."
Her smile crept across her face, as she leaned in and whispered in his ear.
"Reiyvian. Avatar of Air and Light."
She leaned back, pressing her finger to her lips, signaling that it was a secret.
"There are certain sub-elements that fall beneath an avatar's rule as well. Such as void and shadow, which belong to Ra'kar, or ice which goes with Mysdrena. Mysdrena and Ky'shian however, are not in Gaia."
She crossed the room and gathered a pan, filling it with an antiseptic soloution and bathing the exposed end of the leg and the stump in it as gently as possible.
"Besides muscle and your regenerative capabilities... what you can offer, is that you are not in any way aligned with Teira, Sierra or Ra'kar. You have no element in common and so they cannot control your abilities.
Both Sierra and Ra'kar have other means of overwhelming one, Ra'kar especially. All of the avatars possess psychic ability. It is how we communicate with our hosts. How we travel between realms-- Some of it comes from the elements we rule over. In my case I have the added gift of empathy. Flame too, has empathy-- as it is symbol of intense emotion and feeling.
And YET, you have an immunity of sorts to this as well--"
She said casting a glance at his arm, her eyes roaming over the medium.

The secret... man, that made two avatars of something happy that Lazenca "knew." Twitch was Hope, and despite her mortality, Laz was always going to respect her as such. And now here was Air and Light, taking care of him. He looked at Reivyian long and hard, and as he was apt to do, wondered what she looked like under the robes.
But he was a man and kinda did that with everyone. The only real reason this matters is that if she was still trying to link with his mind with empathy or whatever he'd give her permission but that'd be the first thing she'd catch.
But as all things that may or may not be humorous or relevant, the moment ended and Lazenca followed her eyes to his arm.
"The Medium has band that prevents me from being mentally altered. I could tell when it was happening, when you were trying to do it before, but it usually just makes me feel uncomfortable. I also can't... initiate the whole mind-talk thing. But if I don't won't you to, it'll hurt when I realize what you're doing and close all contacts." He shrugged. "It'd probably feel like me slamming the door in your face, since that's what I see, except i'm hitting your head with the door."
It sounds nice, but it's a good way to give innocent people quick headaches. Well, he didn't have all the fancy power to do the easy, soft, peaceful silent lockouts. People unskilled in removing delicate connections tend to just rip the works out in frustration.
"What's Mice Drinna look like, is she pretty? Or... does she look like a mouse?"

Reiyvian ignored the look she got. Unless she was putting someone in their place, like she had done with Vahn many months past, she paid little attention to attraction between gender unless it effected her work with a patient.
Just a casual look at the woman, would tell the person that the body beneath the clothes looked like it belonged to young adolescent and not that of a grown woman. She found her underdeveloped form useful when it came to keeping men at bay and not having to explain or remind people that she was chaste and celibate. But sometimes-- well, some people liked that. But she didn't take Lazenca for one of them.
When he explained about the medium and his limited ability, she listened quietly, intently.
"Mmm, If you would like. Once you are not on call for the tournament, I would very much like to work with you. I believe with the proper guidance you could hone those skills. You may never be adept, but we could smooth those rough edges and see where it leads... I'd also like to help you find peace of mind."
When he asked about Mysdrina (Miss-dree-nah), she chuckled.
"Mys has tanned skin, bronzed like the earth. Her eyes are the blue-green of the sea and her hair is the white of snow. Even by elven standards, she is beautiful."
She didn't see the harm in indulging him.

He hadn't actually hit on her, so there was no reason to worry about anything. Haha, either way.
"Well, that's the other reason why I'm here. I heard tell that if nothing else, you guys could help me strengthen my mind for what I need to do. I won't take it badly if you can't help, but here's hoping."
He went silent for a few seconds, trying to remember the moment the leg came off. He couldn't even feel it, it was odd. Seeing the thing not there, he didn't have phantom pain or anything like that, but he could feel it wasn't there now. How would it heal now?
"She sounds pretty." A short tilt of his head, as if to give more credibility to his statement. "Think she likes scars? Or what about you, do you think that scars build character? Or would you rather someone who looks like Adonis, in all the flawlessness?"

"I will do my best to aide you Lazenca, I'll even be your practice partner. I guarantee there will be progress, how much remains to be seen."
She smiled at him, it was a warm and open smile. Encouraging yet honest.
"As for scars, my abilities as an avatar of light, fall primarily in the realms of healing. Along side my natural gifts, I spend a good deal of time treating people and doing my best to minimalize if not eliminate scarring all together. However sometimes it can't be helped.
However... I think scars DO build character. They are a testament to your survival. That you have persevered and overcome great obstacles and pains. They tell a story and that story should be respected."
She holding her hand over the raw end of his stump, she let her palm hover just above the open wound, almost touching but not quite.
Her eyes unfocused slightly as she kept talking to him.
Reiyvian was an adept, anybody of less skill wouldn't be able to talk while using this variation of seeing. It was a rare gift in healers, the ability to see the damage exactly as it was. Each wound highlighted in her minds' eye. But she focused on the leg, inspecting it closely.
"I do not know what Mysdrina seeks in a companion, but I myself have no preference. I have devoted my life to the Goddess Liyeisha and taken a vow of celibacy."

He could've made horrible joke, but it'd probably see the bed flipped over and him face-down on the floor, just before he was dragged out and tossed back through the portal. So he just nodded.
"We'll see what happens, then."
What was she doing? Esterian healing magic felt hot, but he couldn't feel that, thusly he didn't know what she was up to. "Oh, I like my scars the same way, and agree. I'm just wondering what females think. You don't see a lot of big, scarred guys with ladies." Women liked gammas more? Maybe it was something in the personality that the scars reflected? Or something, who knows... Lazenca wasn't a shrink.
"Who else do we have on our side, as troops? Sun and Silver are both fiery, so what else do they have?"

"I think it's more on how men carry their scars, not whether they have them which will determine how a lady sees them. If the scars are something simply to be shown off and brag about, I would see this as unattractive and would see such an individual as a brainless brawler. However, if the scars are are worn with as a mark of experience and the bearer respects them and in them himself--- then yes. I would say that it is a desirable aspect."
She lifted her hand from his leg, having seen what needed seeing and got to her feet, crossing over to a cabinet to fetch a pair of scissors Returning she smiled at Laz apologetically.
"Sorry about the pants---" She said it even as she cut away the ripped and bloodied fabric, several inches above the knee, leaving him with half a pair of shorts.
"Besides the members of Frozen Flame, GUARDIAN has a regular force of members like the one you met, Amara. There are stronger individuals, like myself and those that you met back in the suite that run various divisions, each overseeing certain specialized skill sets.
There are other recent additions that are being groomed for retainer positions like yourself-- There is a Hono'o Raven, and I think you know her-- A Lady Madison?
Vahn has his team assembled, the members of Fracture are on our side--- but not under our jurisdiction. They ally themselves with Fah but because it suits their own goals.
I believe there is also a contingent of freed shades that are opposing one known as The Forgotten and in turn oppose Victor and Ra'kar.
We possess a small army-- but we are still searching for those that can make a difference. If Victor proceeds with his plans, there won't be single being on Gaia that can escape the devastation."
