Dojouro System Fort Dojouro Briefing Room
Once again the Fleet Admiral just gave a faint nod. He did remember that their had been a free trading pact between the two groups. "That is quite true. We will gladly accept the deal. Should the need arise, you may call upon use for the same thing."
Mr. Dorian glanced at the Fleet Admiral for a moment and then back to the Federation's Head of State. "Ah, yes. As the Fleet Admiral has said, we will gladly take you up on that offer." Although it was more of something for the military, Mr. Dorian as a politician could see what an asset the deal would be the United Hellene Government as a whole.

Tomas scratched his head, looking down at the paper that sat on the table in front of him. It was a copy of the old treaty with some of his handwriting on it. Then he nodded and looked back at the other delegation. "Well, that's about it for re-negotiating the old treaty. If there's anything either of you would like to add to the treaty, now would be the opportune time to do so."

Mr. Dorian returned the nod of the Federation's Head of State. "Excellent. But at the moment I am not sure what else we should..." It was then that he was cut off by the stern voice of the Fleet Admiral.
The Fleet Admiral cleared his throat then interrupted Mr. Dorian. "I do have something that we should think about. At first it may seem like a military benefit but I believe it would benefit the security the lives of our citizens as well. I think that both of us should be allowed to establish listening post or some other type of military station in the other's respective territory. That facility would be able to keep watch for trouble and provide a rapid response force help in case of a military attack, until a larger force can be sent. What do you think Mr. Jirun?"

Tomas nodded and wrote something onto the paper that was in front of him. Then he looked up and smiled at the Fleet Admiral. "Yes, that is definitely a possibility for our agreement. Listening stations and observation posts are useful not only in enemy space, but in allied space as well. We can designate some space for the construction of a station."

Dojouro System Fort Dojouro Briefing Room
The Fleet Admiral remaining his usual stoic self, gave a calm nod, as if no feeling was behind it. "Thank you." He then seemed to lower his head as if he was concentrating on something else.
Mr. Dorian grinned as he seemed to be doing since meeting with the Head of State. "We can do the same on our end. I think we can allow a station closer to our government's core, or if you prefer you can also put on near your colony..." Mr. Dorian closed on eye, looked upward and bit his lip, displaying a rather stupid looking expression. "...ahh, Nubia I believe." He wasn't certain about his answer but he felt that it was in the right direction.

Tomas Jirun nodded thoughtfully. "Yes, that should be good. I'll alert the head of our military; she's in charge of our intelligence departments as well. We consider them to be under the jurisdiction of the Armed Forces, and the Fleet Admiral is our Armed Forces Chief Officer." He documented the new development in his personal datapad, which also had the requirements of the treaty included.

The Fleet Admiral looked at the Federation Head of State and gave a nod in acknowledgment of what was just said. The Fleet Admiral then looked over to the Rear Admiral, unsure if the Rear Admiral was as uncaring with political manners as himself.
Mr. Dorian looked at the Head of State with a slightly confused look on his face. "Interesting, we once thought of doing such a thing but decided to make civilian department outside of military control." Mr. Dorian paused then looked at the Fleet Admiral and cleared his thought. "However our military, still has a hand in it and has an exceptional intelligence program as well."

Rear Admiral Ritona seemed apathetic and more concerned with a piece of fluff on his uniform. Tomas, however, smiled at Dorian's comment. "Ah, well, the Fleet Admiral was the leader of the resistance against the Empire as well as the first Head of State the Federation had. She served for fifteen years, three consecutive five year terms. We've always been a military culture, so naturally even in the democratic form, the military would still play a large role. Anyway, if there is anything your government would want from this deal, now would the opportune time to state it."

Mr. Dorian nodded. "I can understand that completely, being a government that was created from a military. However recently we have tried to limit the power the military has a task I would enjoy immensely...." Mr. Dorian ended his statement and cast a sideways glance at the Fleet Admiral. "Well, no I can't think of anything else. But is there anything you want from us?"
The Fleet Admiral chuckled to himself for a minute, but his slight smirk quickly faded when his personal communicator. He removed it from the pocket that he had placed in, when he saw that the message was high priority he stood up from the table. Even though he felt the meeting was coming to an end there was obviously something of great importance that he needed to be aware of. He looked at the others and bowed his head respectly, "Please excuse me."
The Fleet Admiral walked outside into the hallway, where his escort had been waiting while the meeting was taking place. The Fleet Admiral now removed an earpiece from his internal jacket pocket and placed it on his ear. "This is the Fleet Admiral. What is the situation." It was then that he was informed of the situation that had been unfolding within UHG territory. Despite hearing the troublesome news he had a stoic appearance. "Wake the Novas."

The Head of State smiled and politely shook his head. "The requests of the Federation have already been satisfied. If that will be all, then the only thing necessary would be our respective signatures."
High Orbit, Dojouro System
Elements of the First, Second, Third, and Seventh Armadas, as well as a fleet of warships marked foe reverted to realspace in high orbit and closed on the shipyards. Many of the ships were heavily damaged, some being towed by others and others barely limping into system. The Fleet Admiral's flag was present on the Polaris, the third in command of the First Armada. The Polaris hailed Fort Dojouro and informed them that the ships of the Marquis Federation were not enemies any longer and that peace talks were ensuing. Then she informed the station that there were many hurt that needed attention as well as ships that needed repair.

Dojouro System Fort Dojouro Briefing Room
The Fleet Admiral walked back into the room in enough time to hear the Head of State's statement. "Very well. My presence is required elsewhere at the moment anyways. I am not trying to be rude." The Fleet Admiral walked back over to the table but did not sit down, he reached for the datapad and input his signature then handed the device to Mr. Dorian. "We must back haste back to Hellene. There are matters that must be attended to."
"Yes, yes." Was the only reply to the Fleet Admiral that Mr. Dorian made. He reached for the datapad and looked at the Fleet Admiral while doing so. When he saw the Fleet Admiral's face, he froze in his seat for a second. The Fleet Admiral seemed to have given Mr. Dorian a look that set the envoy back into his place. Mr. Dorian slowly took hold of the datapad the Fleet Admiral handed him and input his signature as well. It was Mr. Dorian who sat the datapad back on the table with a cowardly smile, he was still vexed by the look the Fleet Admiral had given him. "It has been my honor, Mr. Jirun."

Thomas nodded as he signed the document himself and stood up. "I'll summon a Lieutenant to escort you to your craft right away." He motioned his hand and a Lieutenant entered the room. "If you'll follow me, sirs."

Bridge, Federation Super Battleship Pride Dojouro Prime, Dojouro System
The new flagship moved out of the shipyard it was built in and began to head for open space. At the same time, several destroyers and battleships, along with their tenders, moved to join the flagship vessel on her outbound course. The Fleet Admiral's flag was on the new Super Battleship of the line.

The flagship and destroyer/battleship escorts cleared the planet's atmosphere and requested permission to jump to lightspeed. Permission was granted and the ships jumped. Their target destination was Atenu, the missing planet.
