Nyx looked at the huge wooden beast again before jumping on to it. "Wow it looks even bigger from up here." She watched Ianthe look around the ship. "What'cha doing?"

Ianthe doves into one of the holes in the deck. "Inspecting for damage," she called up. "It's so old, it falls apart sometimes. I assess the damage whenever I come here."

"Oh so this ship is important."Nyx asked. "Wonder how old it is." She said as she followed Ianthe into the hull.

Ianthe looked over as Nyx joined her. "Yes; it's sacred to my tribe."
She thought for a moment. "I have no idea how old it is. Much older than a 100 years at least," she speculated.

She stared in confusion for a moment. "Sacred, what does that mean?" The red and white modi wondered. "I'm sorry for my lack of words but I didn't really talk to anyone much for most of my life."

"You worship the wooden beast.. ship?" Nyx thought about this for a moment and then spoke up again. "Is it cause it was made for the sea?"

Ianthe thought about to word this. "Sort of. We see it as...a representation of the sea. And so we hold it in very high esteem."
She guessed that described it well. "I'd teach the principles of the tribe, but they're awfully expanisve. I have yet to teach them to my own tribe members..."

"A representation of the sea.. That sonds nice." Nyx commented on the phrase Ianthe had used.
"Having yet to teach it to the tribes members does make the principles sound like a lot." She nodded. "But to be a member of the tribe, wouldn't they have to already know some in thier hearts?"

"Ah. It helps you tribe members keep united. To have a set of principals to live for. To explain who you are, and what you believe in." Nyx nodded. having a set of principals was a good idea. Keeping everyone on the same page.
Nyx grinned for the umptenth time that day and follow the beauty out.

"Anywhere at night is the best place to be. I love being nocturnal." Ianthe turned to watch the gorgeous fox next to her. "Not to mention the moonlight illuminates your fur. A rather stunning image, I must say."
She leaped gracefully off of the deck, hitting the sand. "Would you like anything to eat? I can catch a fish relatively quickly."

Nyx blushed again. "I guess it does illuminate. White reflects well." She smiled yet again. "A fish would be nice. I've never tried one before."
