"Oh...that's..." it took him a moment to finish that thought through the intense blush that crept across his cheeks and the charm he cast wearing off."...even better." he finished with a very small look at his aunt. "I still want to free him and...maybe I can make a new friend in the process, or maybe something more..." the last few words were spoken barely above a whisper.

"All done, dears!" Mims exclaimed happily. "Dear, you look lovely," she said to Aurora, who nodded in a slightly abbashed sort of way. "And, no, no booby traps... Really, the worst that can happen is that you circle around and just end up here again -- it all depends on if you can get the princess out or not," she explained kindly, he round face breaking into a brightly confident smile. "Best of luck to the pair of you! We'll be following from outside." And with that, she, as well as a couple other fairies, leaped nimbly out the wide window.
Aurora turned back to the knight and nodded slowly, murmuring a small "thanks." He always got nervous when he was dressed as a woman around normal men... Even after they knew he was male, they sometimes still... well... but that wouldn't happen this time!!!! ...he hoped.
"Right, well..." he began somewhat apprehensively. "I suppose we'd better... begin..." he said nervously. He... what if with the closer proximity the other wouldn't be able to restrain himself? No!! He had to have faith!!! Still, at the very least, it was embarrassing to allow himself to be carried....

"Yes, well, you can meet him when he comes down. Some knight or other decided to try and get him down... Guess he felt a bit bad for the 'princess' who got locked up in a tall tower, you know? Not sure if it'll work or not... if it doesn't, I'll take you up to meet him, alright?" she said cheerily, holding out her hand in a 'pinky-swear' motion.

"Then let's hang out down here for a few minutes and see if they make it out." he said as he extended his hand as well to seal their agreement."I haven't seen you in forever Aunt Flora. How come you never come to visit lately?" he asked her.

"'Been watching over her-ladyship. My relief shift hasn't come, either! Really, I was supposed to switch out with that Orangy guy over two months ago! But they keep saying he on leave... which I bet means he's enjoying some fancy vacation and enjoying the spoils of his 'negotiations' -- nothing but bribary!!" she exclaimed angrilly, one fist clenched dramatically. "I want a vacation, too!" she said, hugging her nephew close. "It's settled. Next chance, I'm running away from work to spend time with you!!"

Worst thing would be either that or he trips over his big feet going down the steps, he thought glumly. While Aurora was telling himself 'Faith!', Nic was yelling 'Confidence!'. It was just.. carrying him down some steps, right? Mentally sighing, he knew this would have so much easier if he just been an actual damsel in the first place.
"Yes," he agreed in a curtly manner, but hesitated before making those steps toward the Prince. But finally, he was standing beside him, seemingly unsure of what to do next. 'Pick him up, you idiot!' he scolded himself. This was for Aurora's sake, afterall. With awkward motions, Nic managed to get one hand around his shoulders and the other at the bend of his knees. Considering Aurora's height, this was much easier than he expected.
"Well... That's step one," he said. "Are you alright?"

He knew what to expect, but he couldn't help but be nervous as the other picked him up fully, lifting him (thankfully) from the bend in the knees. "Uhm... yes... thank you," he said slowly, really feeling quite embarrassed at having to be carried. And his wig would probably get in the way, too... He reached back and drew up the long train of hair into his lap before, tentively, sliding his arms up around the other's neck.
"D-don't think weirdly of this. I just don't want to go flying if you trip or something, alright?" he stammered hastilly, a bright flush on his cheeks, dark eyes averted.

"Yay." Indi shouted and hugged Flora tightly again."I'd like that. But How come mom won't take over for you for a while? Or is she still on her little medical leave?" he asked quizically."I swear it's been 18 years since i was born. She can't keep claiming that she isn't fit enough to work forever." he griped with a pout.

"Ahaha... hmm... I'm not too sure... but she probably is. You know, she's so popular that don't was to think of her at all badly... everyone just swallows her lies...." Flora said placidly. "Really, though, she shouldn't run too much from responsibility... it makes me have to do more work...." she said, a small pout on her lips. "Really, all her paperwork gets sent to me, now, you know! I can't stand it."

(If all goes well, my wizard should be making his entrance very soon. ^__^)
There was no way Nicholas could turn his back this time. There was no way he could even turn his head away. He thanked god that at least Aurora seemed to want to avoid eye contact as much as he. "Of course not," he agreed. "Absolutely nothing weird about this at all."
'Except for the fact that I'm carrying a boy who's dressed up like a princess out of a tower.' But he made sure to leave that part out.
Taking a few test steps, Nic was surprised at just how like Aurora actually was. While his parents may have really wanted a girl, they did just as well making this one look and feel like one.
"I'm going to take this slow," he said, just as he began descending the steps. "Like you said.. don't want you to go flying or anything." Nic had only just realized he had been holding his breath.

"Well, I'd love to help...but they keep saying that since I'm not full blooded that I don't count." he whined."I mean my only problem is that no one's been around to teach me how to use my magic. If I knew how I'd be just as helpful as you and auntie Mims." he said."Although red fairy and blue fairy sound better that indigo fairy. Why'd I have to be indigo? I could've handled pink or even polka dotted better than indigo." he said casting his oddly hued eyes toward the tower's top.

Aurora nodded slowly, his cheeks still brightly flushed. "I-I'll... open the doors..." he mumbled after several slow steps. "And-- s-sorry... about this," he stammered, his dark eyes fixed on the elegant twist of hair piled onto his lap. It felt... odd to be so close to someone. Sure, guys had kissed him (while he was asleep) and occasionally tried more, but... he had never voluntarilly allowed this sort of behavior before. It felt... odd.
It's only so I can get out of this horrible place!! he thought fiercly, a heavy pout on his face.
((I have to get off now! It's thundering and lightning really close, so... yeah.))

Nicholas kept passing off Aurora's stuttering as being the nervous feeling that something may go wrong while going down the stairs. Nothing else. He was forced to do this whole 'princess' this. He said he didn't like the whole kissing bit. That must mean that he didn't like other boys.
Obviously.
.. right?
Going down the steps, the knight only wobbled a few times. Each time, he would tighten his hold on the other, stop to breath, shake his hair from out of his face, and continue on. It seemed as if everything would work out fine.
"You know, this is almost exactly how I pictured this all to play out," he said, the silence making him uncomfortable. "Carrying the Princess out of the tower and all.. Except.. you're not really a princess, of course."

Aurora, not quite sure what to say in reply to this, merely nodded in response to the other's words. Well, what was he supposed to say? Nothing... nothing...
But it was rather... uncomfortable like this -- and what if Nic stumbled or something? Aurora really didn't want to think about being sent tumbling down all those steps...
But they had said the staircase wouldn't be nearly so long... right? --And it was true, too, because as he shifted slightly in his position to prevent his hair from being tugged upon, he caught sight of the door, and a bright smile broke out across his lips.

And that smile reflected also from Nic as he hurried down the last few steps. It actually worked! he thought with a new burst of energy. He was somewhat ashamed to admit to himself that part of him didn't believe that it would. They were working against a magical curse, as it were. And Nic was never that keen on working against magic. But this just seemed all too simple.
With the hand under Aurora's knees, working at a slight angle, Nicholas managed to pry the door open. But apparently, his excitement had got the best of him. Trying to hurriedly push his way out of the door, his feet got tangled up under him and he went crashing to the ground, with the Prince in tow. He was just thankful it hadn't been the stairs that broke their fall. Instead, they were greeted with a much softer padding of grass.
"Ow.." he mumbled, pushing himself up onto his elbows, only to find himself above the Prince in a.. *ahem*.. semi-compromising position.
