IIRC, there's been some controversy over Lightning Reflexes. It's been debated that the current wording of LR makes it absolutely broken, and there's been several proposed changes, but nothing final.

Define "current wording". The version in the Inquisitor rulebook is broken, but the two alternatives in the second annual were both pretty underpowered. I prefer the one that lets you go before anyone else (unless they have Lightning Reflexes as well, and a higher Initiative), as the other version doesn't do much, really.

I was referring to the version in the rulebook. The two alternate versions of the rules were the proposed changes, but like I said, they are just variant rules, and the ability itself hasn't been officially errata'd to my knowledge.

I suppose it depends on what you count as errata. I take the rules reviews in the Inquisitor annuals to be official errata, and always play with those rules. Although one of the people who I usually play Inquisitor with helped write those rules, which could have something to do with us using them, I suppose...

Well, the online .pdf version of the rulebook is supposed to have all the errata in it, and DOES have alot of minor changes that the print books haven't gotten to yet, but the Lighting Reflexes rule has not changed. Granted, the two Lightning Reflexes rules are in a file called Inquisitor Errata, but neither is in the online rulebook, just the old version, while all other errata from that file is in the online rulebook, in red to higlight it's difference from the print book.

Indeed, the Lighting Reflexes fix is also in the Experimental Rules section of the website.

It's been there for ages, though. I think it's probably because they haven't decided which version they like, so they're not changing the online rulebook until they have only one replacement for it. Still, it would be nice if they hurried up...

stare They should have released that new Thorian Inquisitor months ago, same with the source book on Thorians, but for some effing reason almost the whole of SG has been dropped into nothingness. They even stopped Fanatic Mag for some reason, I find this insulting.

Yeah, we weren't too impressed when they did that. You can still get Fanatic online (or at least something that resembles Fanatic), but no proper magazine, and no Thorian book (although I'm sure I heard a while back you could get that online too, now that I think about it...).

the reason they stopped the magazine was people weren't buying it that much and as a result they now do a online weekly one

I actually thought the inquistor battle reports back in the older white dwarfs were a pleasure to read.
This game seemed so cool but there are hardly any players who play anything else then 40k or fantasy in belgium...

((oh and yeah i'm back wink I was one of the members in the start but i stopped warhammer for a while sweatdrop ))

Same here in the Netherlands, sadly none of the Specialist Games are supported in most of Northern Europe.

Ive started to get semi into the idea of playing Inquistor. But instead of using the full scale models I'd probly get anyone who would play it with me to do it in 40k scale. It would be easier to select your char & use terrain(like a barren waste, city fight, etc)

It's easier (and cheaper) to do if you're a 40K player, but there's a lot less choice of characters (you can't really use a lot of what you use in 40K armies) and it's a lot harder to customise them to have exactly what you want. Still, it's a good method of getting started and learning the rules, after which you can buy some of the larger models if you decide you like it, and the point about terrain is a good one.

Conversions make it easier to make your chars. If you play something such as Mordheim your used to doing some minor conversions
