I'm curious to know why many people believe Wormtail will honor his debt to Harry? I doubt Wormtail is that honest... stare ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Love doesn't need to be cured. We have the capacity to live in a relationship in love. Sexuality is a gift from God, whether it is heterosexual or homosexual.

We believe this because JKR pointed out his debt to Harry at least once in the past, perhaps more often. It has to be important somehow, otherwise it wouldn't be mentioned. Also, I personally don't see Snape as honest, and even if he is on the 'good' side he still hates James Potter's guts...and yet he honors his life debt to James through saving Harry's life. Perhaps a debt like that is sort of binding to wizards. In other words, why show a bitter man honoring a life debt to a person he hates, and then show a frightened man dishonoring a life debt to the son of a man who was, at one time, his friend? Irony? I don't think Rowling would do that to us. She's poked us with that life-debt too much to ignore it later on.

I agree with Alutian. There are so many clues to why Wormtail will fulfill the debt now that I think about it. heart

I agree with Alutian too. If it was mentioned it has to be at least alittle important. And I also like your Snape theory too ^^ I hope JKR wouldn't put that much irony on us though...

OmegaSlyth Wizard Hitler is a funny thought. Maybe he thought the Jews were Muggles or something. JK made Voldy out from HItler though.

hmmm, I can't decide who she'll be killing but I dont' think it will be obvious. Is it just me or has she got a taste for killing? Death is a huge part of these books. Anyhow, I have an idea for the carnival thing. We could have a fanart contest and have different categories like CG and B&W and hand-drawn. I think it would be cool to see what we can all do!

Tried the art contest thing already. It flopped. Badly. Oh well.
She kills a lot of people off because it's a war. There will be casualties.
So...when are we going to open up that "Betting Pool" mentioned way earlier?

So...when are we going to open up that "Betting Pool" mentioned way earlier? Maybe it wouldn't flop so badly if only one thread was devoted to the contest. Like Booths in a carnival. The carnival idea might be combined with start of term maybe.. We should really get started on those things though. So far there's the betting pool and art threads. There can be two more threads: games or whatever. Anyone with an idea let me know.

I'm thinking that Malfoy got it from Borgin's shop. He's had his eye on it since he first saw it. Maybe he traveled to the shop using the two way cupboard and stole it. Who knows? domokun

That could happen. I never even remembered them talking about him buying it. That was pretty weird.
(Adonis said he wants to give certain people something!)

They never saw him buy it (Mr. Malfoy refused to get it for him in that shop that year) or have it before, and yet it seems common knowledge that he has it. Think it might have been something that was cut out of the American editions?

Hrmm, yes, it does make you think on how the heck Malfoy got that Hand of Glory. You've got a point there, Alutian, never thought of that.
