"Well, I..." Keahi stopped short and eyed the other curiously, lifting a brow. With a little smirk he evaded the question with another. "How about more coffee?" He lifted his cup and waved someone over.

Blythe wasnt going to fall for the old evasion trick, he wasnt about to let the other get off with not answering it that easily "im fine with coffee thanks, I still have a half full cup." He said as he finished his mint stick "so" he said smiling at the other "care to stop evading the question and answer it for me please? Im curious, I want to know more about you" he said as he picked up another biscotti and nibbled on it.

Keahi's ears flopped to the sides in defeat. "Er..." Biting his lip at the gentle chide, he hastily ordered a second mocha. "Well... about the only thing I've really gotten into is... this style of dress and decorating that my mother is really into." He stopped then, blushing faintly with discomfort, and snagged another biscotti. Let the crunch of the cookie fill up his silence.

Blythe smiled at the fire hybrid "see, that wasnt so bad now was it?" He said as he got up and moved around to where the other waws sitting and sat down next to him. "Besides finding that rather interesting myself you are cute when you blush" he said as he lent over and kissed the others cheek once more.
Blythe got up and walked back to his seat and sat down "then again, your cute anyway so I guess i wouldnt matter if you blushed or not" he said smiling and then winking at the other before he took another sip of his coffee.

Well, Blythe's actions were certainly unexpected, especially with Keahi's train of thought. His mother was a sore subject. His bedroom, with all of the fancy decor, was almost a hated place at times, simply because it reminded him so much of Machi. Hence the blush - a rush of strong, bittersweet emotion.
Keahi held his breath without thinking about it as he watched Blythe sit down. He was not really sure what to do or say. He was not sure he wanted to encourage Blythe or anything that might between them. What had happened with his parents made him inclined to "love everyone yet no one at all," as opposed to his father's more communal "free love" mentality.
When he replied, the blush was gone. "Well if you saw my parents, you'd know where it came from." He watched as the barista returned with his coffee. "You're not to hard on the eyes yourself. Butterfly wings become you." Bah, he couldn't help it. Flirting was like banter. Cats do it all the time. He rose the cup to his lips as the barista slipped behind the counter. His tail curled with pleasure at the strong flavor and aroma of the brew.

It was now Blythes turn to blush however he kept his face hidden as much as he could behind the cup as he sipped, every now and again, the contents inside it. "Thank you" he said politely to the other "maybe I can meet your parents some day, got to meet the two who were the creators of te beautiful hybrid sitting across from me" he said to the other, finishing his biscottie.

"No... just my father," Keahi said softly, with finality. He looked down at the contents of his cup and drank from it. "You might see my mother in passing, and I'd point him out, but there won't be any introductions. I don't see my mother anymore."

"I...Im sorry to hear that" he said sincerly to the other, knowing what it was like to lose parents, even if it was just seperation or whatever, the pain was never good. "And fine with me, I can handle meeting the alpha cat, hell I might as well sooner or later anyway, he is my pack leader, might as well make nice with the head honcho of the pack" he said as he finished his coffee.

"Yeah," Keahi replied, feeling unfortunate for the subject having come up. He glanced back at Blythe. "So you changed your mind about meeting him?" It was a rhetorical question; how nice of Blythe to have come to his conclusion about meeting his own alpha. He continued with his coffee in silence not requiring a reply.

"Well I would have to sooner or later and I never said I wouldnt meet him did I? I just wouldnt take you up on the offer of crashing your house." He said smiling at the other "but yeah, I will meet him whenever is possible or you would like me to or whatever" he said as he picked up another mint stick and nibbled on it.

Keahi smiled faintly. Yes, whenever or whatever. He drank the rest of his triple-shot mocha until it was finished. "Well, it would kind of depend on if he was out and about. It's difficult to find him sometimes as you can imagine," he said with a shrug.

"Of course, it will be up to him when he wishes to see me, I dnt want to arrive there and expect him to just end up seeing me, im sure hes a very busy cat. I dont want to be there uninvited or anything so its up to him wen he wishes to show himself" he said to the other as he called over the wiater and, waited for him to come before ordering a plate of cinnamon sticks, another cup of white chocolate and a cold glass of milk'and then watched the waiter go.

Keahi waved that off. "It's not like that, he just wanders around. He's really very personable and approachable, you'll see. He isn't aloof like some alphas can be, I imagine, nor high-and-mighty. Besides, if I were to introduce you, there would be no complaint. I'm sure of it."

"I guess he is just a typical cat, what cat doesnt wander?" He said as he sat back and smiled at the other "I guess I will see, though when I do end up meeting him, I wonder if I should bring Kimaris along. I am sure the demon wouldnt mind seeing the alpha again and they do have catching up to do, maybe it would do them both some good if they get together again.
Of course, that is if the alpha wouldnt mind some extra company for a short while" he said to the other, taking another cheese stick and nibbling on it.

"Yeah," Keahi snickered thinking, especially a tomcat. "Sure, like I said earlier, he would love to see Kimaris again and catch up on old times. He would probably want to talk with you first though..." The fox-firecat's ears flickered at Blythe's last comment, wondering if there was any hidden meaning to it. But he said nothing.
