Sineri blinked and immediately looked down as Ez pointed out the mud that coated parts of her fur, still wet in most places, though beginning to slowly dry and flake in a few others. "Oh," she responded, still staring at her paws, because she didn't really know what else to say. It surprised her, let alone her father, to see herself so dirty and not be throwing some sort of fit about it, similar to what she'd done when Tete accidentally covered her forehead with mud, only on a much bigger magnitude.
It surprised her further that, for the first time since before she could remember, she... didn't care. She didn't care that she was muddy, because she'd had fun getting that way. It wasn't part of an inconvenience or an accident, or some other distasteful event. She'd been playing, properly, for perhaps the first time since she was a very young cub.
But daddy's enquiring into the identity of her new friend distracted her from this discovery, and she glanced sideways at Tete with a bit of a grin pulling at her lips. She now generally liked this male... which would probably worry her father quite a bit, though she wouldn't yet understand exactly why. After all, she hadn't even done any of that weird flirting stuff her dad had tried to teach her. At least... not to her knowledge, she hadn't.
"This is Tete... uh, Tetemeko." She knew her father well, and knew Ezeoha would be somewhat disgusted by the mud on both of them since coming out of the water, and so she then sought immediately after introducing him to try to make Tete seem less... repulsive to Ez. "He's Shaji's friend, too. And he's really nice."

It surprised him that Sineri was not defending herself from the fact that she was dirty. He had expected her to obediently crawl back into the lack and perch on some rock until she was dry. Instead she seemed to... accept the fact that was unclean. For once it did not look as if she were bothered by the mud that was caking on her coat. Sineri was like him in so many ways, it was what he had first assumed when she was brought into his life. It was a pleasure to find every day that she was different, that she had her own quirks that set her apart from her father. Ezeoha really didn't want another Ezeoha. His daughter just became more and more perfect whenever he looked at her.
When Tete was finally introduced to Ezeoha, it was a surprise that he acted so kindly to the cub. Really, he wanted Sineri to have friends, and there was little purpose of chasing him away (his daughter, if choosing to be slightly rebellious, would just chase after him, and he did not want that kind of conflict). All Ezeoha needed to do was to keep a close eye on this boy... and discern whether his intentions with his daughter were pure or corrupt. There /were/ young lions that were like Ezeoha. "Hello Tetemeko," the cub didn't deserve being called by a nickname just yet, "I'm Sineri's father, Ezeoha. And, hmmm? You've met Shaji?" It wasn't saying much for Tete, though, because Shaji got along with anyone.

Tete did his best to look impressive when Sin introduced him, and then added that he knew Shaji. He was pleased to hear her say that he was really nice, too- and couldn't help but shoot a grin in her direction. Despite the awful loss in the water fight and his inability to win the verbal battle, he'd had fun too. When he was greeted, Tete ignored being called by his full name and smiled at Ezeoha.
"Hi, Ezeoha," he greeted him brightly, "I met Shaji th'other day, he said he didn't like being alone. He said you were a lot of fun."
It wasn't quoting Shaji exactly- he'd said his father was more exciting than him, had taught him to swim and such. It all equated to fun to the young lion, so those were the words he chose. He had to admit privately, though, that Ez wasn't currently looking or sounding like a lot of fun.

Since neither of them were talking to her now, it seemed, and were more focused on each other, Sineri did not talk for a few moments. Instead, she looked between the two of them, hoping her daddy would like her new friend, and that Tete wouldn't say something damning. She knew well that adding Shaji liking Tete to his defence was paper thin, in truth.
Though, when Tete grinned back at her, hers widened and she almost giggled. Oh, yes. She liked Tete, all right.
Though, that was when she turned to her father, trying to wipe the grin off her face and mostly succeeding, though hints of it still tugged at the corners of her lips. "Daddy... Did you come to take me home?" Her father seemed to be on the verge of giving Tete some sort of questioning, and that was the last thing she wanted. If Tetemeko couldn't win a verbal battle with her, there was no chance he'd survive against Ezeoha. She learned from daddy, after all. She wanted to get her father back to his original purpose before he alienated Tete and he no longer wanted to play with her, and Shaji, too.

"He has a lot of siblings, so he hasn't really ever been alone before." Ezeoha grinned, becoming more proud of his children by the second. Sineri idolized him, in a way, and Shaji could not help but speak highly of him. This was the family he had wanted all along, one that would show him loyalty and would love him with all their hearts. In return he loved them equally, promised to raise them and show them a good life in the Pridelands. It was his duty as a father, a duty to his children that he would not shirk on.
"Well, he is a good son to praise his father so." He realized that he was not being 'normal' in front of this male cub. He could not help but become paranoid at the idea that Tete could be hitting on his daling Sineri. Deep down he didn't want to judge the cub just because he was hanging around his daughter and getting close to her brother. But he was, and normally he was a pretty 'cool' father, and right now he just wasn't standing up to par.
He turned his head slightly to analyze his daughter, and with a grin he nodded his big head. "Right you are, I did come to take you home. And we better hurry up and leave... well, because I don't trust your brothers and sisters to stay put much longer." Sighing, he really did start to think that he would not appreciate having to chase them down again. He had had enough of it for the day.

"That's what he said," Tete agreed with Ezeoha when he mentioned how Shaji and Sin had a lot of siblings. Sin hadn't said anything about not liking to be alone, he assumed she had been before he hit her with the mud- she wasn't so worried about it, not like Shaji anyway.
The mention of being a good son, and how Sin was being taken away, Tete was reminded of how his own father wouldn't care much for him being away so long. He wasn't sure his father even knew where he'd gone off today.
"I should probably go home now, too," he mumbled, glancing back to Sin to say goodbye, "Maybe we can play again sometime!" Tete wasn't going to leave without at least saying he hoped to, this had been a lot of fun, but thought better of just asking Sin and looked over to her father hopefully.

Realising that it was now time to say goodbye to her new friend, her only friend outside of her family, she was a bit sad at the parting. She'd been having fun, a lot of fun, though she understood why Ez had come to get her. She'd wandered far, and been gone for a while. It'd probably taken a great amount of effort on his part to locate her. Looking up at her father, she smiled widely, flicking her black-tipped tail. "I'll be just a moment, daddy, ok?"
With that said, she bounded over to Tete with more energy than she'd shown in ages, stopping beside him with a grin. "Yeah! And I'll beat you again!" On the word 'beat', she nudged his shoulder with hers, and then with another flick of her tail she was hopping back over to her father before Tete could retaliate. "Good bye, Tete!"
Standing at her father's side, the sheer amount of resemblance between them rather obvious, right down to the markings on their backs, she looked up at Ez once more. "I'm ready to go home now, daddy."

Ezeoha nodded his head, relieved that Tetemeko was deciding to leave as well. He would no longer tempt Sineri to wander off today if he was tucked in at home with his own parents. So he smiled and did his best to look like a responsible parent, and one you liked but didn't want to mess with. "I'm sure your family is just as worried over you as I was with Sineri." In actuality, Ezeoha still sounded youthful. There was nothing about him that would truly define him as a parent. He still loved to flirt, loved to goof around and have fun and overall be irresponsible. Parenthood did not seem to suit someone as active in things and other things.
"Okay," he murmured, watching his daughter say her farewells to her new friend. He told himself that there was no need to worry, that his daughter and Tetemeko were just friends, and it would never come to be more then that. When Sineri returned to his side he once again nodded his head. "Then let's go home." He started to walk off, confident that Sineri would be right by his side. But, he paused, his gaze turning to Tetemeko, and in his smooth voice he spoke, "Good bye, Tetemeko."
