This summer I went camping in the Frank Church/River of No Return wilderness in Idaho. No cars are allowed in, so you have to hike everywhere. I'll post pictures soon- it really was amazingly beautiful.

I just got back from a trip to St Thomas in the US virgin Islands.
It was so beautiful there!
I went snorkeling so much because the fish are so beautiful.
But what really irked me was that there was litter on the beach. There were pieces of broken bottle in the sand. I don't see how someone can even think about littering in such a beautiful place. sad

Oh, haven't seen this thread before. Cool xd
I went to Monzanillo Costa Rica two years ago. That place sticks out because of the obvious diversity of life. And ooooooh man, the ocean. What a creature!
Oh, and then there was Argentina last May. We went on this hike that had a prt of it overflwed, so I climbed across in the trees/vines. That place was breathtaking. We also ate some WILD oranges. I swear that was THE BEST orange I ever ate in my LIFE!
Aw... now I miss South America. And the ocean. I need you, ocean!!

I've always wanted to go to South America...I probably won't get a chance to (for the wildlife at least) until I'm on my own though...But ONE of these days I shall go. 3nodding

The most beautiful place I have been is an English wood in May when the ground is a carpet of lovely bluebells as far as I can see. There is a fresh woody, mossy smell and the ground is dappled by shafts of sunlight shining through the canopy. Dew drops hang on delicate spider webs and glisten when the light catches them. I can hear a woodpecker not far away and a mouse or vole rustles near my feet. There are no other humans for miles.

Yeah biggrin Wow... There are so many wonderful natural places to see and I hope to visit many more of them. Where I live I don't have to go very far to find bluebell woods.

How many people would love a yard full of nothing but moss, rather than grass? I know I would.
