Blade smiled weakly at the skitty as he petted her before looking up towards Riyo. Then with a sigh he looked back down at the pink cat. He had a slight suspicion this had something to do with her time at Team Rocket's base, but the timing of everything my have just been pure coincidence.
"We should probably take her to a pokemon center.." he said before turning his attention towards Riyo, "If... you'd like, I can take her to the nearest one. That way you won't have to deal with anyone in town."
In a sense, he figured that Riyo might want to remain in solitude if she were able to.

At Blade's proposal, Riyo immediately looked back to him... And stared for a few brief moments. Her eyes then slid back to the floor. That was pathetic of her. That she couldn't even take her own Pokemon to the center. To refuse would be cruel to Ri-chan... But to accept would be a slap to her face.
"You'd do that for me, Blade?" Of course Blade would do it. She had every bit of faith in him that he would. She'd never had a reason to distrust him. He'd admitted to her that he was a thief. It wasn't something he hid...

Staring back at Riyo, Blade wondered if it was really a good idea to have offered, judging her reaction. But Ri-Chan did seem like she needed medical attention.
"Of course Riyo," he said softly, "I know what it's like to want to get away from people in general. This way she can get some treatment and you won't have to deal with.. well the general idiocy of humans."
Looking back towards the ill skitty, he added, "I'll do what I can to make sure she stays safe and unharmed, I can guarantee you that much."

Why was he so nice?
Riyo couldn't understand it. He wasn't gaining anything. Not that good intentions always spawned out of self-interest... But he was literally getting the short end of the stick with this friendship. She was a b***h. A grumpy old b***h with nothing to give the world anymore. Overstayed her welcome, would be the best way to put it. He was a young man who had everything to give, or take from the world. Maybe he was just being compassionate to an old beaten animal.
Though, for once, intentions didn't really matter to her. Without much warning, she hugged him. "Thanks." A simple word, but it held so much. And she probably didn't say it enough.

For a moment there, Blade froze. He hadn't expected it at all, and he wasn't so used to being hugged so he just tensed up when it happened initially. But as she thanked him, he relaxed and and grinned softly. Bringing up a hand, he rested it on her back and nodded.
"You don't need to thank me," he replied.
One thing though, he had to admit this hugging thing felt kinda nice.

"It's been awhile since I've had a good friend. So I think thanks is necessary." She didn't linger with the hug. As soon as she pulled away, she scooped little Ri-chan up with her jacket and handed her to Blade.
The Skitty looked up at Riyo as she was handed to Blade, seeming confused at first. It didn't take her long to figure out what was happening, however. She was smarter than the average skitty, after all.

Taking the small pokemon and coat into his hands, Blade made sure he had a secure but gentle hold before nodding to Riyo. He smiled faintly at Ri-Chan, then stood up, glancing towards the exit of the temple.
"I'll be back as soon as I can. Take care ok?"
Not saying much else, he headed on out. As he reached the campground, he beckoned Fou Gai and Kaen to come with. Gouku seemed to be having fun with Lancelot, so he decided to let him play around. And Freedom seemed to be doing alright here as well for that matter.

Riyo gave a small nod and watched him leave. She could feel her stomach twisting and turning as he headed off. She hoped nothing would happen. But she couldn't help expecting the worst...

A little less than a week had gone by before Blade returned with Ri-chan. He was glad it was nothing serious but it seemed the poor Skitty still needed to recover some. When he had arrived at the temple, it had started to rain lightly. The giant trees gave some cover, but he still tried to make sure that Ri-Chan stayed dry in the coat bundle. And for the time being, the two fire types he had brought with him for the trip were stowed away in their pokeballs.
Once inside the building, he looked around for Riyo before approaching her with the pink pokemon in his arms.
"The nurses couldn't find anything physically wrong with her; they said its most likely stress that's making her sick... so she should be alright I think."
When he had been told this awhile back, he was more than certain that the ordeal with Team Rocket was a major cause of the stress plaguing the skitty. It made him wonder just what they did to the poor cat but at the same time, he didn't think he really wanted to know.

To say that she was lost, was quite the understatement. It had been some time since she had been in Team Rocket's care though she still bore the mental and physical scars. At least one good thing came from it, a new friend. The little eevee was currently curled up in the hood of her jacket. She didn't seem to like people much, nor other pokemon, but strangely she had taken a liking to Mitsu. Probably why they left the little pokemon with her.
"I have no idea where we are," Mitsu said dully looking around the trees. It had been a while since she had been at Team Rockets lab...it had been even longer since she had been home. Was there such a place? Mitsu had started to forget. Her mind was so scrambled at times from the ordeal she was lucky to remember her own name.
There was movement on her back and the little albino eevee popped her head out of the hood and looked over Mitsu's shoulder. She was out for only a moment before something caught her eye. "A temple."
"Temple?" Mitsu looked around again and finally spotted what Kita had. A small temple hidden amongst the trees, somehow she had missed it. Looking up into the light drizzle, Mitsu decided it might be best to take shelter. Not that the rain bothered her much, she had been walking in it for a while now, but she was tired and ready to rest. So without further delay she headed for the aging structure, unaware of the inhabitants that were already inside.

Riyo, who'd been napping with Fate, Vex, and Lancelot surrounding her. At the sound of Blade's voice, she immediately snapped to attention. Looked like she hadn't been sleeping too well.
She was happy to see him, but the news that Ri-chan hadn't really improved was a little disheartening. "Thanks for trying Blade. We all appreciate it." She said with a soft smile and stood up, gently taking the pink bundle from him.
Ri-chan looked positively delighted to see Riyo again. She made a soft purring sound as she was scooped into the arms of her trainer. "Missed you too." Riyo said softly.
But something caught her off-guard. There were sounds coming from outside. Like footsteps. "... Were you followed Blade?"

Smiling a bit as the skitty was reunited with her trainer, Blade nodded and glanced around the temple to see where Freedom and Gouku were. The Chimchar was sleeping in the middle of the floor, snoring lightly. And the butterfree wasn't too far off, seemingly resting as well.
"Hopefully she'll be better in no time, especially with the love you give her."
Hearing the sounds from outside as well, he narrowed his eyes some and glanced behind.
"No. At least I'm pretty sure I wasn't," he said while resting his hand on the hilt of his sword. There wasn't any way for them to tell if the approaching stranger was a hostile one or not at this point. Too bad there wasn't really much he could use for cover otherwise he probably would have ducked behind something.

Once at the temple, Mitsu examined the walls with interest. Dull crimson eyes scanned the outer structure as if it were a long lost treasure. Kita seemed just as intrigued though neither said anything to confirm their interest. Running her fingers along the outside wall, Mitsu made her way to the open doorway and finally took her first step inside.

As Mitsu stepped through the main entrance of the temple, Riyo let out a sigh. Though, she couldn't hide her slight twinge of surprise. Looked like the old gang was somehow finding their way back together. "Long time no see." Riyo commented to Mitsu and waved.

Seeing Mitsu make her way in, Blade relaxed and shook his head to himself. Turning to face her more directly, he waved as well. It seemed that she had a new pokemon with her as well. Well, it might not have been new, but he hadn't seen it before.
And from the looks of it, the eevee was a special one.
"What've you been up to Mitsu?" he asked as a greeting.
