RuiZhi wanted to sink into the ground and disappear. The look his sister shot him made him feel the fear he'd been lacking only moments before. The look she gave Weiyuan, however, puzzled him; it was dark, but he could see something strange in the way she was watching him. How much did she know? Surely he didn't give anything away on the phone, even if she did know why he was upset. He allowed himself to be lead by her, knowing she was more worried than angry, but then she looked away towards...
He became very still, hoping and praying to whatever Gods were listening that she didn't recognize Rylenn. The boy snuck a glance up at the woman's face, and swore he could hear gears grinding. He could have fainted from relief as she invited him along in a mostly nice manner. RuiZhi looked back to the elven woman, smiling apologetically. "I'm sorry for my family and their behavior," he said in little over a whisper, "they're very protective. I'm RuiZhi Tai. It's nice to meet you!"

Irame wasn’t surprised when Alex stared at her. She was actually quite used to it in fact. She had humans stare at her, even other elves would stare at her sometimes. Ah well… It was just something that happened.
“Ah, so a family member then. I am glad that they have someone here. I actually was trying to help look after the students. It is a most worrisome situation to have them unprotected. I hope that you can help them if they need it.” She didn’t finish her sentence with the idea that she was worried and doubted her ability to be effective. At least she learned two of the boys names. “I hope that you do not mind me coming with you to the lab.” She said quietly. She didn’t, however, say anything about going with Alex. She simply would tag along and hopefully not annoy anyone.
She looked over at RuiZhi as he started to talk, and smiled as he started to explain his family. “It is nice to meet you, RuiZhi, and please, there is no need to explain. I know how strange families can be. You should see my sons. They are quite strange, as is Lith…” She stopped for a moment, smiled and simply smiled. “The rest of my family is quite strange as well. I think that you should be happy to have people who care for you so much.”

RuiZhi snuck out of Alex's grasp, earning himself a warning glance from his sister. He fell back to walk with Irame, following the group that had amassed. The boy was glad they were going somewhere structured and safe; the place felt too chaotic. "I think family is supposed to be strange," he commented as he turned his head to look up into the woman's colored eyes. "It reminds me of how normal I can be." He grinned a little at that, thinking of his protective and strong willed sister, then to his independent and reclusive brother. Quite the family they made!
"How...how big are elven families?" he asked shyly, his curiosity taking over his manners momentarily. "Heru Araquenosse talked about his family, too, but..." RuiZhi trailed off, uncertain of what he was trying to say. To point out that their families were no where near by seemed far too inconsiderate, and to ask any further about such personal matters was making him blush just thinking about it. "I'm sorry, I just...well, my family is still new to me, and I wonder if everyone else feels like I do about theirs. My blood family is buried here." He said the last part without remorse or sadness, merely stating a fact; they had died long ago, and he did not mourn them now, as he knew it wouldn't be what they wanted for him.

Irame started walking along with the group as well, though she glanced over at Dante, and she lagged nearer to the back of the group. She was happy to see that RuiZhi was walking with her as it was always nice to have company to talk to. “Well being the normal one can be nice, but it can also be a bit of a chore.” She said with a small laugh. “After all everyone starts looking to you to hold them into the normalcy of the day. My eldest brother held that part and it was a bit that he wasn’t always pleased with.” She sighed a little and looked over at the boy as he asked his question.
“It is fine, RuiZhi.” She said. “I am sorry about your blood families death although I am glad that you found a new one. As for Elven families…” She sighed once more and bit her bottom lip. “That is a harder question. Blood relations, my family was very large with my parents, two brothers, a sister and me, so six all together. The family that I married into has only eight in three generations, including my children. If you include the people who are inducted into the noble houses through name but not blood, then it would be much much larger, making nearly entire towns. But I am sure that you would not like to hear of that.” She waved her hand. “Tell me, if you do not mind how large was your original family?”

Weiyuan couldn't help but flinch at the woman's touch. And then flinch again at Lina's touch. How wonderful. Now this little reunion would be complete if only a certain doctor would appear.
He could feel Alex analyzing his boyfriend. His heart was practically leaping out of his chest. He...he just...could he? This was Alex and she understood almost everything. He didn't have to hide it. His grey eyes trailed over to Rylenn. What to do?
His gaze stayed on the elder boy before glancing at the elven lady. He bowed lowly, not missing a step in their walking. "Yes, please forgive my rash behavior. My name is Weiyuan Leung." He slipped out of Alex's hold. He couldn't hold back anymore than he should.
He looked to the red-head. Damn his blunt nature. Without words wrapped his arm around the other's waist, nuzzling the other. The determined teen set a new rule for himself. Even here, where things would most likely go against him, he would not allow Rylenn to feel unloved. Because he did love the red-head. He felt his face flush but...it's better to get things off his chest now. There were other, more important, things to worry about.

Rylenn squeaked a bit and looked at Weiyuan. He blushed fiercely. "What.. are you doing, Weiyuan?" He touched the other's hand. "It's.. all right. I.. understand. Really I do.. please.. I'll be fine on my own.."
In truth, he probably wouldn't be. He'd probably get killed if he stayed alone, but he wasn't about to make things harder for anywhere. Damn insecurity. He wriggled just a little.. not in displeasure or uncomfortableness. It was more like a cat who was in too tight a spot.

Alex watched RuiZhi out of the corner of her eyes as he chatted amicably with the elf. Either the boy didn't know what an elf was, or he'd already seen one. Judging by the question she caught, he had already met an elf, someone named Heru Araquenosse? Strange name, she thought to herself, Heru. Before she could listen to more, Weiyuan pulled away, moving towards the red-head that had decided to follow them after all. He was awfully quiet, not at all like RuiZhi had described him; after Weiyuan joined with Rylenn, however, she understood why.
She wasn't turning to stare at the two, but she was watching them blatantly. Observant green eyes shifted between the unusually docile Weiyuan and the unusually modest Rylenn. The two were at such different ends of the personality spectrum that she wasn't surprised that they were close. She couldn't help but quirk an amused brow at how they each seemed to bring out the opposite side of each other, with each other. It'd be a lie of Alex said she wasn't shocked that Weiyuan had a male companion, but after all the boy had gone through and his attachment to his father, part of her truly found his choice of partner...comforting.
The woman looked away from the two to give them some privacy. When her face was turned from them, however, a soft but genuine smile touched her lips. She found it sweet that in the midst of the trouble that was brewing, even through the suffering she knew Weiyuan must be facing, that the boy was growing up enough to display affection to the one that had healed his heart. If he wanted her opinion, she'd give it; for now, Alex did a very unusual thing, and kept her mouth shut.

His gazed flickered for a moment to his 'sister'. The woman was unusually silent. And from the feeling she was giving off, she didn't mind at all. He sighed before taking Rylenn's face into his hands touching their foreheads together.
"No. I don't want you to leave my side. At all. Ever. Never leave my side." And he wasn't just talking about for how long this new thing would last, he meant for as long that they would live. Till they were old and crusty and slept way too long.
He kissed Rylenn, unafraid of what anyone else dared to say. "The last time I let someone I love be alone here, this place took their life. Not again. I couldn't handle it if I lost you. I can't lose you. I need you. I love you."
He idly felt those tears run down his face but it didn't matter. There was so much here that could kill him. So much that would assault him. He had no ability to put into words about how this place unnerved him. He needed something stable. And right now the only thing stable he had was his relationships with these people, and right now he feared loosing the one he held in his hands.

Rylenn blushed heavily and kissed Weiyuan back. He smiled gently and sighed. He touched the other's cheek, brushing away some hair. He sighed again and wrapped his arms tightly around the other. He kissed Weiyuan again and again and again. "You won't lose me, Wei.. ever." He nuzzled his lovers head.
He let that hug linger for a few moments longer before he took Weiyuan's hand. He squeezed it and kissed his knuckles. "You know.. I feel the same way.. about you, right?"

She tried to keep it together, she really did. She had been so good and kept quiet, but now the two boys were talking like two girls reciting their favorite love scene, and Alex just could not help herself. The woman fell back to the two, wrapping her arms around them both unceremoniously, resting her cheek on Rylenn's head. "All right you two, more walking and less gooey smooshy lovey dovey oochie choochie coo. Quite frankly, Wei, it's scaring me." She clasped her hands between them, so that the males were wrapped in the circle of her embrace, although not tightly enough that they couldn't move if they wanted to.
"So!" she said conversationally, shifting sides and resting her cheek on Weiyuan's head, her green eyes glittering with the ghost of her normal self. "I'm Alex. Might I ask the name of the one kissing my younger brother?" Her words were all sweet and honey, although the grin was as mischevious as she could manage. Embarrassing? You bet.

Weiyuan stiffened, his face brightening to dangerous levels. He turned away from Alex, keeping his fingers intertwined with Rylenn's.
Gods he almost, almost forgot about this side of her. The part that screamed older sister. Who had to know every bit of his life. "He's not just kissing me...." Crap. Should not of said that. Knowing her...He rolled his eyes and attempted to drag Rylenn away from the clutches known as Alex.
He couldn't wait for Kenth to come along so that he focus would be on him instead of them.

Rylenn simply froze. His eyes went wider than a deer in headlights. "I... uh.. er.. I.." He looked from left to right.. what the hell was he supposed to do. "My name is Rylenn.. Ry for short..." He said nervously.
He blushed even more when those words came out of Weiyuan's mouth. He coughed on air and went into a sputtering mess. Nothing would come out coherently. What the hell was he going to do NOW? Damn it, Wei.

Alex's eyes got quite wide at Weiyuan's comment. She let him go, but kept her other arm crooked around Rylenn's shoulders, giving a slight flex of her arm to indicate she wasn't quite done with him; the woman was strong enough that Ry would have to fight to get away. She would enjoy the game that was about to ensue. "Oh really, Wei?" The words were purred, her face very much the cat with its milk, turning to wrap her free arm around Rylenn. The poor boy was hostage to the clutches known as Alex. "Oh what, sweet Ry-Ry, are you doing to my little brother?"
The boisterous woman had pressed her cheek against Rylenn's own, grinning still. "Weiyuan, he's burning up! Should we get him a bucket of water? Perhaps some sultry music?" She switched to Chinese, amusement dripping from her words, "" Surely Weiyuan would remember Lina's horrible suggestion from so long ago; it amused her to this day. Her eyes had dimmed to a dull green luster, but she continued to smile at the Chinese boy as she held his boyfriend in her arms.

Wei turned giving Alex a dark glare, though it was easily balanced out by the dark blush on his face. Anaconda skin....for Einstein's sake!
<"My sex life is none of your business! And leave my boyfriend alone! We have better things to do! You can tease us when there isn't a violent epidemic rampaging. And unlike you, me, Rui, and Lina, Rylenn hasn't been here before and he needs some of that nasty green stuff.">
He huffed, fixing his clothing. Dusting off whatever was there. He glared at her again. "You're just jealous because I'm prettier than you and actually have a boyfriend. Perhaps this time you'll score with a certain we-know-who. Hopefully Lina has some anaconda skin on her. We would want to doom the world but introducing your children into it now would we?" Things were never good when he smiled whilst being sarcastic.

Rylenn squeaked, understanding only about half of what they said. He huffed out as he tried to wiggle away from Alex. He debated biting into the woman's arm, but gods knows what would happen. She might actually like it.
He huffed and stopped fidgeting for a moment. "Can we not have a sibling rivalry over my head? Or did we forget the screaming and too close to me phobias?"
