Made some tweaking on Ashe's possible powers and a little on personality. Actually, I merely deleted something from the personality section. I'd rather she not be as stoic as Ebs can be. Though I'd rather she not be as girly or excitable as some other Raevans. I've also been debating whether I like the name Ashe or not, and also whether I should keep this Raevan a female when the Lab has had a major influx of females to date now. Any help or input on anything in my quest thread would be great. Thanks!
Oh yeah, and funds were updated too. Not by much though, lol.

Just something of note that could perhaps be a quirk of hers to show off her Soul a bit more then her Essence; Venus Flytraps attract insects with their bright red color. Perhaps her looks could be a means of attraction and then, instead of using the lured "insects" to feed her, she uses them for other selfish means.
Just something to mull over :]

Hmmm, that is something to consider Snoof. Although I highly doubt she'd do anything terribly selfish or cruel since her alignment is Chaotic Good and while she's a Frei. If anything, this could be something she could use to her advantage when she's older. Thank you so much for visiting and commenting on my quest hon! heart

Okay, lots of changes people. eek I know, things are very messy right now, but please bare with me. This happens from time to time, obviously usually after a flatsale, etc. I'm trying to open my quest back up and not allow myself to get too attached to one specific soul or essence as I'd really be happy with any Raevan should I get the chance to ever own one. That's not to say I'm totally in love with all my ideas. I have my faves and my least faves. But please, tell me what you all think because I seriously need and welcome the crits. Thanks!

I still like the lingering smoke the best but the black water interests me in a different way. The way you describe it more than black water I think of it as liquid space or a tangible hole. D: I dunno if that makes any sense. In any case, as interesting as it is it's not really as strong as your lingering smoke. :3

Hehe, black water's the reincarnation of my original concept of the non-reflective mirror aka cursed vanity. The description doesn't really do it justice in terms of how it works I suppose, but I see it as like a pool of shadow to a certain extent. Although it's just plain water minus being able to reflect. And if something doesn't reflect it thus must absorb, at least that's how it works in my head. Like when you wear certain colors out in the sun. White reflects the sun and black absorbs. So the water would absorb reflections.
But yes, lingering smoke is still one of my top faves, so I am very split between essences, but I just hope one of them is interesting enough in Kyou's eyes for a suitable future Raevan.

Since everyone else seems to be doing the quest update dance, figure I'd join in as well. Though there's not really much for me to update these days, but I've put up a new poll if anyone is interested. Thanks sooo much to everyone who voted in my last one, it really helped a lot!
Also, I've been going back and forth on an idea and I'd like some feedback on it. If I were to go with the smoke and snake route, do any of you guys think I should adjust the essence to be just smoke that doesn't dissipate? Cause see I was thinking, if it's combined with the soul of a basilisk then the smoke could end up getting it's deadliness from that, right? Plus, this would bring down the near infinite effects the smoke could cause which has been something of a pain in my side since nearly day one of the concept. I want the Raevan to be powerful, but I'd like it to have some kind of boundaries as well. Any help on this is most appreciative. Thanks!

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO TOOK MY LAST POLL! Thanks to a resounding YES on me dropping the part of the Smoke essence having all those effects on it, I've decided to do just that. After a long long time and much thought, I really REALLY like the thought of Lingering Smoke to be combined with a Basilisk soul. Thus I'll most likely want that should I ever garner enough gold for a Raevan myself.
YET...I will still be participating in any and all flat sales and events the Lab throws my way. Even if I can't get my concept Raevan, I would like any Raevan I could manage to get. When I get a chance, I'll rewrite the description of the Smoke essence in a better light that what I have now, yet you get the point with what I have currently. THANKS AGAIN FOR EVERYONE'S HELP! :heart heart heart Now it's all on me to get gold and/or win a flat sale or something. Wish me luck!

Desired Raevan Concept Fel Essence: Lingering Smoke. No doubt where there's smoke, there's fire or at least that's how the saying goes. Yet these wispy grey masses were found floating about with no immediate source to account for their existence. So how can smoke exist when the flames that had created it have long since been snuffed out? Obviously it can't be any normal smoke as it slowly swirls about in this vial, constantly changing from varying degrees of density with no sign of disappearing at any time. Perhaps something mixed with it long ago causing this unusual transformation to occur. "An interesting idea. It seems to almost link to Laz's eternal flame.. I only have a small word of warning - in the latest event regarding RL semi customs, Kyou warned people to stay away from fire essences.. Smoke is fairly fiery, so you may wish to be cautious. Otherwise you have a nice idea with a neat explanatory title."Soul: Basilisk. Hailed as the king of serpents, this monstrous snake is said to be the size of a train and has such deadly venom that only that of a phoenix's tear could heal it's destruction. Not that it really needs any of that since a good look into its eyes can suck the life right out of you. But don't worry, it's just a myth...right? "I think a basilisk would lead to some interesting roleplay. For a start, how would you capture the soul of such a thing? Would you hunt down a full grown one or maybe you could nurture one by putting a chicken's egg under a toad then harvesting the baby basilisk's soul.. I suppose you can deal with that if/when you get your soul bottle. Either way I like this soul and can see it's potential. ;D" Possible Powers: The ability to create poisonous smoke. This ability is progressive. Able to turn into smoke. Can create smoke screens. This ability is also progressive. Smoke manipulation. Venom. Petrifying gaze. "Be careful with how many powers you give. If you list out quite a few it can seem too powerful.. Perhaps focusing on one or two would be best. After all, if you look at current raevans hardly any have more than two powers. My advice to Snoof was to take a power from both sides; one from the essence and one from the soul. Personally I like smoke screens (although where would the smoke come from? would it just form or maybe they could breathe it out?) and the petrifying gaze (but I would say rather than actual petrification which could be considered overly powerful you could just give your raevan the ability to incite intense fear with their gaze).

In the beginning it did spawn from Laz's essence, but Nats felt it shouldn't lean so much on that. So I negated placing any reference to the Eternal Flames and merely made it so that it was created by any fire. In fact I've simplified the description now as this: No doubt where there's smoke, there's fire, yet this particular batch was found floating about with no immediate source to account for its existence. How can smoke exist when the flames that had created it have long since been snuffed out?Let me know what you think about that. But yeah, though it has association with fire, I don't really think it'll be a problem as it isn't fire. The soul capture would be something every interesting I think. Though you bring up a good point of the whole egg thing. We'll just have to see.  The power things weren't the most important thing to me personally at this point, basically I was posted some just to have some fun and see what could or couldn't work. But I agree, I don't want the Raevan to seem too powerful as that was a big problem in the beginning for me. Mostly, I want it to have the ability to turn into smoke and some sort of toxic ability. No doubt where there's smoke, there's fire, yet this particular batch was found floating about with no source to account for its existence. With only charred remains found at the site as a testament to the fire that once was, this smoke simply refuses to dissipate.
