Sasha felt her eyes bug out when the stick caught on fire. She finally found aother stick and threw it, and then without thinking yelled out incendia. She had no clue where that came from, and felt slightly embarresed, before shaking it off and looking for more sticks, not paying attention to what happened to the stick as she searched.

The stick was caught in a blaze but only for a short instant, the stick was too small to burn long enough to burn the creature. The creature was getting annoyed and started moving in on Sasha, knowing this move would be suicidal, the creature began to run akwardly towards her. It then tripped on it's own root and fell down.

Sasha felt her mouth drop open when the stick caught on fire, and then almost fell over laughing when the tree tripped. She used that time to hunt for more sticks and threw them at the tree. It seemed to be having trouble getting up, and she used that as much as she could to her advantage. Finally finding no more sticks, she took the last one she had and threw it once again yelling incendia right before it hit the pile of sticks, and the tree, and watched as it caught fire. Now she just prayed the rest of the sticks would catch before the tree could get up. Then The tree would become part of the bonfire. Wouldn't that be great!

[Stepping in because this is wrong.]
"Come on...come on..........DAMN."
He watched as the tree got up again, backing away from the small, flickering flames. It seemed to him, from his leafy hideout, that yelling that word wouldn't really do anything...yet. He thought back to the time when she threw the first stick. She looked pretty beastly. Yeah, she was desperate and angry...he felt a fire burn in her. Maybe...
"Sasha! Try using your emotions to control the flame! I'm not sure, but it might just work!"
God, this kid would be cool to have around.

((meh, oh well..., oh and sorry about my awful spelling... I put my fingers to the right just one key to far, and it all sucks)) Sasha paused for a second trying to work out what she should do. Last time, she had been angry, and in all the poems and stories and junk, wasn't fire always angry? She concentrated on the small flames and thought about how mad she was at Rob for killing poor Gloria, and than this demented tree actually trying to stop her from doing whatever she damn well wanted to do. Now she was really mad and turned to look at the tree, willing the small flames to grow and attack it, promising them food if they just jumped a little.

Anger. The feeling dwelled in her...built up in her...seethed in her. Horrific images of death and despair, blood an tears...all filled her consciousness. Visions of her family, the G-Men, and Rob's terrible deed came right to the forefront. Little innocent eyes...Why the ******** did everything have to happen so suddenly!? Why did things have to feel pain? Why did the have to DIE?! As her mind spun, she felt her own temperature rising...damn them all! Damn Rob! Damn the tree! Damn her family! Damn the government! DAMN EVERYTHING!!!
BZZT...BZZTTT.......
As ribbons of flame shot from her finger tips, she felt herself drifting into a haze. She should have been astounded by the sudden explosion of power, but merely felt entranced...detached. A faint buzzing, almost like static, filled her mind...and a light pink cloud seemed to cover the entire surface of her thoughts...
Those innocent eyes...she saw them...crying silently......
"...ing on? Sasha...? S....what a...ou doing....Sa...a?...s...SASHA!!"
Renzt's voice suddenly ripped her back into reality. Wha? What had happened!? Did she? What? WHAT? Thoughts danced through her brain, taunting her with pleasing images and a grand sense of power. Of destruction.
She was laying down now, a mess among the dirt and leaves. In the air...something...burning. Had she...?
Renzt was leaning over her now...and so was the tree spirit!? It had a large burn mark down it's chest, and the sunlight hit it just so...
Woah. So many things at once. Sunlight? What the ******** was going on here?
Renzt appeared to have still been talking, but she couldn't hear him through her own confusion. He reached out his hand, unafraid of the previously menacing creature beside him. Then, she heard him speak again.
"Come on, Sasha. There's someone here who wants to have a word with you."
A word...? Didn't that thing want to kill her like, 10 minutes ago?

Sasha looked up, trying to focus on Renzt and the tree, and the sunlight? What on earth was going on? She slowly sat up and looked around, half-blinded by the sun. She shook her head agin and tried to stumble to her feet while still paying attention to what Renzt was saying. She kept a close eye on the tree thing, maybe it had ticked Renzt into thinking it was harmless, but she wasn't going to fall for it.

The previously dark woods were now filled with rich, bright sunlight. The tree really didn't look all the scary in the new light; in fact, he looked kind of cool, like an old and wise guardian of the wood. His eyes were now tender and placid, and Renzt seemed fine with his presence. He turned and motioned to you to listen up...
Sasha, brave warrior of light...I was blinded by a goal...a goal to protect that which I hold dear...this forest, these old trees and blades of grass...they mean the world to me. So I...sheltered them...guarded them with my life. However, you have changed all that today...seeing such fire, such desire to fight for your life and those of others you care for...unconditionally...that is a truly noble cause. One must truly live to survive...you have shown me that. I bow to your powers, dearest kin, and let you and your friends all pass. From now on, this will be simply known as the Warm Woods...in honor of your trial this morn...
Thank you...and, if you need anything, anything at all...please, let me know...I'll be happy to help you along your journey...ah! Here. Take this. The brethren of any forest will do you no harm with this charm in your posession...
The wooden Lord let out a low whistle, summoning forth two chipper blue jays, each carrying part of a twine-laced necklace, bearing a small, red acorn at its apex. They dropped it at your feet, hovered for a second, and chirped off into the surrounding treetops once more...
<>
Please, child, fare well on your journey...may the stars guide your along your path...
With those parting words, the old trunk stepped aside and bowed slightly, gesturing at the exit-bound path ahead. Wow. What a little fire can do these days!

Sasha felt her jaw slowly dropping more and more as the tree made its speech. She was completely blown away that this had happened, that she had gotten a forest renamed, free passage through said forest, and the realisation that she could do magic. She slowly picked up the necklace from where it lay on the ground and tied it around her neck, making sure that it was secure and she wouldn't lose it. She looked up at the gaurdian of the forest and smiled hesitantly, saying "Thankyou" and waved a goodbye to the tree before walking back along the path and towards the end of the trees. She had never imagined that this was all waiting for her outside of her little town, and now she couldn't wait to see more, and perhaps learn more about her newfound magic.

Renzt tagged behind, apparently not nearly as dumbfounded as she. He was probably jealous. They walked in silence fo a little while, until the "bodyguard" came to an abrupt halt.
"Uh, boss? Where to next?"
Hm? What did he me-
Oh God. An open field. This was it...they...they were about to travel the world! Onward!!
"Where to next?"
Oh...uh, kinda...onward? Heh...good question...

"Well obviously we are going, uh, that way." Sasha replied pointing in the generle direction of what she thought was north. "Unless you know where north is, or maybe where New York City is? Because that is the only city north of here that I know of." Sasha continued to babble on, not really thinking of what she was saying, concentrating more on what had just happened in the forest. She had some how summoned fire, but she wasn't magical! At least not the last time she had checked.
Sasha abruptly shook her head and decided not to think about anything heavy for a while. She carefully wached the surrounding field, waching out for any suspiciously carnivorous animals. She did not want to be attacked again so soon.

Renzt didn't really know for sure which way north was. So, turning back to the forest, he yelled (much like a 4-year-old),
"HEY TREE MAN! WHERE'S NEW YORK?"
The tree spirit ratehr boredly lifted a finger that pointed a little west of where you originally thought north was. Good deal.
Renzt turned back to you, ready to hit the dusty trail...or rather, grassy meadow.
"Well. You ready? This is gonna be a loooooooong trip. Let's hope we find more bunnies and s**t on the way. Otherwise, we're gonna be screwed in the nourishment department. Look! My belly's growling already! Awww, man....
Gross.

Sasha wrinkled her nose at Renzt and then turned herself on the new path toward New York, putting off thinking about food. She was so not hungry right now, what with the evil bunnies and way weird tree. Afetr a mintue though, she realised that Renzt was falling behind. She stopped impatiently to wait for him, trying to think of a good conversation to have with your bodygaurd who you met earlier in the day, but helped you survive through a fight with evil bunnies. And a way weird tree. Ah well, weirder things had happened, she just needed a minute to think of them.

[Fights and random battles will occur without much fanfare and drawn-out explanations...since this is a long trip and all. I'll just announce them and give details. Maybe I'll throw in some nifty little sayings or something. PS...I thought you were in KT?]
Renzt trudged alongside his boss. He really liked travelling with Sasha. It almost made him forget about how sh...uh...yeah. Almost.
Heh. Awfully quiet.
And awkward.
Break the silence, Renzt.
"Snickers is my favorite candy bar!"
....smooth.
"Heh..." he continued, "You know, this trip is going to be looooong. We should make a few stops along the way. Maybe look for transportation to speed up the coastline trek a little bit. I mean, we're traveling at least 750 miles here...if we were to walk constantly...that'd be 12,000 minutes...or...damn. Eight and a half days of constant walking?! God, that's like 3 ********' weeks, man! Aww....God, that sucks. We definitely need some transportation...*sigh* Well...yeah, it sucks..."
Good enough. Not much conversation necessary, right? Just focus on the trek at hand...
<<1 hour of travel elapsed.>>
[How to "travel": Each post counts as a significant chunk of time passed. Usually, it's between 1 and 5 hours, but it may vary, depending on upcoming events, random battles, etc. I'll tell you as things go by. Just post like this one if you want, or type <> in the post box. You may not "auto-travel". However, you can post your 'traveling" three times in a row, in quick succession, with an hour in between groups of 3 if you choose to do so. Or, you can spread it out...but I don't see why. The other way is much, much faster.]
