As the numbers began to dwindle, Blank paused only a moment to catch his breath. The sun was hot and beat down upon him, but he soon found that the quick stop to wipe his forhead had been poor decision. As he was thinking about the heat, his mind wandered and he failed to notice a single mutant wolf drawing behind him. In a flash it had lashed out and struck his left shoulder, causing him to yell in suprise and pain. Turning around, he took the sword in his good arm and kneeled slightly. Surely and swiftly he brought his sword upward into the creature's jaw until the tip of the scimitar sprang from the top of the monsters head. The monster snarled and tried to snap at him, but with his jaws speared together, there was little he could do. Soon enough, with the weapon lodged through its brain, the animal's eyes drooped and became lop-sided as its body went limp.
Blank stood and tore the blade from the mutant's body and whipped it harshly to his side to rid it and his hand of the tainted blood. The battle seemed to be lessening in action, as the pack wasn't very large, and now only a few beasts remained. Looking at his shoulder, Blank could see the three deep gashes that flowed with blood. Cursing under his breath he looked up to the sky and half grimaced, half grinned. Opening his pocket, Blank pulled out the wraps he kept there and swiftly tied the wound tightly. Once the bandage was set, he went to help the others.

Ryuk stopped, his knee perched high and his hand on the ground to steady him. The gash he had on his back was now beginning to sting and energy seemed to dwindled. The only thought that went through his head was, 'No good deed goes unpunished.' He looked around his eyes met the one guy that looked like the head of the pack, but he wasn't sure or much-less care. He was good in his fighting and what made it worse is that he was beginning to believe he was more inept then him.
Ryuk slowly stood a little shakily, grabbing his sword he went for one of the last three. Know this wouldn't take long he made quick movements hoping to get this over with. It took time as did everything but he soon made the beast step the wrong way, the point jabbing the thing hard. Ryuk watched it stamper and then get straight legged. It growled with pain and leapt at Ryuk. He barely had enough time before he could react. Sticking out he sword to the side as he took a large step right. He watched as blood splattered to the ground and then a soft thump behind him. The animal was down, and he was free.

Seriph looked around now that all immediate threats were out of the way. There were very few beasts left and most were starting to run. One of the runners got an arrow lodged in its head and fell to the ground with soft thud. "Jania, I think it's over. Go get your arrows."
Seriph heard anouther soft thud behind him and turned for a slightly glance. His sister was grinning at him. "Told you I wouldn't freeze up the second time." She said.
"Yes, you do. You did well in that fight, but don't get cocky. Cocky people get killed first." Seriph said. The words reminded him greatly of his old master.

THe beast received a bullet right in the heart. He died instantly, but was already in the air. He fell onto Phit and she was trapped for the next ten minutes.
Finally she freed herself, but all the other mutants were gone. She sighed. Now she looked arond at these people she did know but had fought with. Now she tried to analize them all quickly, deciding wether or not she could trust them.

(( ^^^ Haha, I was playing Bingo with a bunch of my family, but they all take so long because they were all playing at least 8 cards, while I played only two. So, while I waited for them while we played, I made things out of the pebbles, hehe... OMG. "No good deed goes unpunished." Wicked, right? biggrin ))
Seeing that the battle was over, Blank put his scimitars back in place and started his way somewhat towards the center of where every one was located. On the way he was able to pull out some of the arrows Jania had shot, appalled at some of the places they were located on the beasts' bodies. She has definately improved, he thought while grinning.
Once in talking distance of the others, Blank asked, "Everyone okay?" Wondering if anyone was wounded reminded him of his own mishap and so he checked his own shoulder. It was still bleeding pretty badly, the gash was a deep one, and so he put his hand on his shoulder and applied pressure. It hurt, but he had been in worse situations than this.

Ryuk had cleaned off his blade and stuck it away looking around at the others. He glanced back at the forest and smiled, he had already made that trek but he was saver there then here. He began walking the way, every step sending pain through his body.
The wounds the animals had left on him were a little worse than he had expected. He paused getting a break from the never ending pain and turned back to the group, speaking for the first time, "If any of you need anything I'm more than willing to help. The forest up ahead has herbs and things that are miracles at fixing the worst of wounds." His voice was a little high in pitch, for a man his age but it spoke of much wisdom. He turned back walking slowly back the place he had stayed for so long.

((ya it might do that, my graduation and B-day went great. I got 2400 dollars from my grad. . . . .wow))
Seriph cleaned off his sword and looked himself over for any wounds. He could find none but saw this his sister had a small scratch on her calf. Looking over at Blank as he called out he saw a wound in his shoulder. He stuck his hand in his pack and fished out some spare cloth. Tossing it to the Blank he said "I'm fine, patch up yourself first."

((Sorry guys. Schools been piling up all these projects now that its almost ending. Congratulations on graduating, gigashadow! biggrin ))
Blank easily caught the cloth Seriph threw and started to unravel the end. He stopped a moment to look under his own quick wrap-up to see the gash underneath. "Ughhh," he moaned while making a face and wrinkling his nose. The bleeding was slowing, but still hadn't stopped completely. Looking at the man walking away from them, Blank spoke up. "H-hey! I think I'll take up the offer," he said, referring to the man's offer for help. Blank's body healed faster than normal people, thanks to the injection of the special serum he recieved upon becoming a member of Contolio, but he figured herbs may help to lessen the pain.
Looking towards Seriph and Jania, he motioned towards the direction of the green-eyed man slowly walking away, suggesting that they should follow him. Before turning to follow, Blank smiled at the new girls that they had met, somewhat motioning to them that they should tag along as well. While walking behind, he held Seriph's cloth in one hand and undid his old one with the other before trying to wipe away the excess blood.

Ryuk nodded, waiting for them to catch up. It was probably wiser to get to know these people he had just helped instead of do what he normaly did. Outcast himself. "Where you guys heading?" He asked casually now thinking that it was probably better in the end that he never came to save them. But who knew.
((Yeah congrads... and a happy late birthday, wasn't really paying attention. lol))

Phit eyed them alll. She wasn't very trusting, and these were alot of people to just let her gaurd down for all at once. At least with ounly one she would be able to watch them all the time, now it would be hard for her.
She highly regreted running into a group of people, but what could she do now?
Phit followed, but she made sure she was in back; so that she could study them all.

Arashi Kaze had been walking through this damnable plain for quite some time now, fortunately and unfortunately, without encountering any signs of life. He had been wandering for months looking for Contolio, a few weeks back somebody had half pointed him in a general direction and he had taken to wandering that way. Now after well over a week without seeing a single human being he thought he heard voices in the distance. At first he thought that his solitude was getting the better of him, but then he spotted shapes in the distance. They were indiscernible at this range but they appeared to be about the right height for humans, and they were moving around.
People? Been a while since I've seen any of those... Maybe they have something to eat, I'm starving.
He began to wander in a new direction, the one that led towards the supposed people.
