"and your a bad liar. there's more than enough elves around here to glean that name is false, made up on the spot one. and I'm not a hustler. a thief sometimes, but not a hustler. don't have the proper hand eye coordination for it."

leaning forward abit.

"Information is the real coin of the paths I travel, this is true. however, my interest is a myriad of things. sex appeal, mystery, clothes that denote large amounts of money from a place obviously not afflicted with being a huge desert style environ..possible job opportunities...the list goes on."

okay flash the dashing charming, I'm the bad boy your mom warned you about smile.

Maybe she should just reach over and rot a hand off of him...that would made him less interested in them. But then again that took energy and she was feeling lazy right now. A frown from under her hood though. "I wouldn't say I'm a bad liar, just don't feel like putting forth full effort. A roll of dual colored eyes that her parents had given her. "Your flattery of the elves needs some work, human."

The elves and dragon things around here didn't seem to mind the humans at all...no they were sharing tables with them and laughing and such even in the inn...like they got along and liked the short lived creatures. It was odd to say the least. "Possible job opportunities hm? How about you just tell me what you want...Captain?" Chylithair gave a hiss in Hunter's directiion at that, shuffling his feet on Savryn's shoulder in agitation.

Thusly she picked up the cup on the table and swirled it a bit, took a sniff at it. "It's rum...you may not want to drink it all." May be too strong for her and she would probably gag off of it. She was used to the elven wines and such of back home. No need to have her friend go through that experience and thus be corrupted.



"You gotta make it special like daddy said...and move it faster." Thusly handing over a slightly rainbow tinted shard to her, watching as she took care of it...he then took hold of it with her so they could really make some good wind. "The more we can make quick the faster the hot will go away!" Giggle to follow.


Attention of those outside of buildings seemed to turn upwards. The wind had picked up. Of course the wind picking up was always a bad things these days...the sand easily moved. It was stronger than usual this time, bringing a cooling breeze even over the city walls but also the occassional trickle of sand. However....a foreboding feeling as even the dragons were taking leave of thier posts on the walls.

Wasn't long even before one of them ventured to each building. Even the Inn. And he promptly stepped up to the owner, who seemed a bit shaken up from the information and promptly went about cloing and boarding thing, much to the attention of the others in the place. He merely turned to address them all. "Sand storm heading our way, no one leaves for the time being." And who knew how bad they were going to get it...

Well Caden wasn't around the elves and the new guy since some guards came in and started to take those involved in the bar fight to jail so they wouldn't cause any harm. Though as he was busy at work he kept an eye trained on the two elves, even though he was done with escorting them to the inn he still had a bad vibe coming off the guy who is now sitting with them. But when the owner stated to everyone in the room that there would be a sandstorm coming he nodded to the others guards and began to board up the place for thier own protection, of course it wasn't like this was the first time they encountered a sandstorm, the city has been going through these storms once every so often, this was just another storm coming through which didn't bother Raynes. When he did finish boarding up a wall he paused for a second before wandering over to the elves and sat down at the table, just catching Hawk's last sentence which made him smiled. "If I'm stuck here for the time being I still think it's safe if I look after you two for now, goes past what I was assigned to do before but I got no where else to go. Though still a sandstorm can quickly get worse without warning so if we need to move I can quickly get you somewhere safe." He was grinning now and looked at the man a little before asking for a glass of water. When he got the drink he turned to the drow and smiled again. "If you don't mind me asking, where do you and your friend come from? You must of came a ways to get here."

"all of it."

A slight grin.

"those ropes are made fomr a rare fiber found on specific trees out in teh farther area's of the desert seas. nto to mention they were woven and threaded together by experts who don't come cheap either. And lets not forget loss of potential loot while coming to get said payment, and that I allowed your bird to fly over my ship in good faith when i could have had him shot and eaten. you know that whole meat is rare out in the deserts thing."

then a flick on her hood.

"You should dance. I bet you'd make a fine belly dancer if you put forth a little effort."

A reach back and a pet at Chylithair. "You wouldn't of been able to catch him. Though I do think you should revise your price. I'll pay what it takes to get it weaved, but if you can find the fiber yourself then you can go on that hunt and I don't need to finance that trip." She'd learned something from her father on business too....never settle for the first thing you're given.

Though this time when he flicked her hood, he grabbed his wrist and held tightly, the robe of her sleeve slipping down some to reveal a falconlry glove, as well as a metal bracer with chains wrapped about it. "I think you are pushing your bounds and my limits, Captain."

And her look slid to Caden, but she wasn't really looking at him at the same time. "And yet, you would not be able to tell me everything that I may ask, you can't know as much as the elves or the dragons, your life makes it like that."

Caden of course kept quiet when the elf and the man off to his left were talking, seemed they were doing some business of sorts. Though when she grabbed his wrist Caden blinked in surprise when her robe slipped down, just what was she wearing really? He never saw someone dress like that and his mind echoed what his boss told him earlier which made his shift in his seat; this elf he was looking at was an odd one that's for sure. "It doesn't matter if my life is short, if I can give you at least some of the information that you needed to know then that's better than nothing, if I don't have it then I may pass it on to someone for the answer or even introduce you to them, it's really simple." Well it was that simple and he just wanted to help as best as he could, though as he looked between the man and her he was getting ready to step in if things got a little too out of control. Though again he looked to the man and lowered his eyes a little, so he was the captain of that ship that fired the net huh? Seemed he wanted to get pay back for that trick she did at the gates. "Excuse me but if anyone tries anything I will step in to stop either of you, besides there is not just me but a few other guards who got stuck in here and they will come to my aid if I need it." A look to the man again and he sighed. "You don't know what I want so don't speak of me as if you really know me." He said crossing his arms lightly against his chest.

Again the little chat between both elf and captain was being monitored by Caden, if either one of them tries anything he would pull his blade and put a stop to it as quickly as possible. But a look to the elf when she basically told him to buzz off. "Well with innocent people in here and with you two looking like you want to fight till one of you is dead I must take measures, I have sworn to look after this city and if I stop the both of you then I must, I'm sorry but that's the way it is." And it was, even though she was an elf and a female he would have to do something to keep her from getting into a fight, after all the guards worked at it like that, try to stop the problem before it can actually do damage that is if they come across it before it starts. Luckily for him though it seemed that she was willing to pay the money the captain was asking for, best to avoid conflict than to start it. At that moment though one of the other guards that was in the inn came over and said something to him, with a quick look to the captain and then to the elf Caden sighed and got up from his chair to leave for a moment, he hoped that those two wouldn't get into a fight, they didn't need one right now.

"Well that's all the gold I have...fishing for silver too?" Giving a snicker though she did have to hold in a laugh as Hunter pointed out what the other had been being painfully obvious about. Humans were like that, not that Savvy would let that thing near Shyrae. Though her attention snapped back to Hunter and she more or less bolted up from her chair, slamming her hands down on the table and pinning her general attention on him. No one spoke of her parents in bad manner. "No human would have control over me. And my parents never taught me that you humans were dirty...just that you aren't worth the elven time because you humans don't live long enough." Clenching her hands on the table before taking a breath and drawing back, regaining her composure. "Well I can tell you that I'm one of a different brand. Are you done wasting my time?"
