Oh and while I'm at it, can Vindictive proc Vindictive? Basically, say a Grinder, saw it in another thread, attacks So&So (who also has 3 on Vindictive for attacks) and takes the Vindictive damage, does the grinder's own Vindictive go off and damage So&So?

Does the defender abillity work against spells 'other' damage, or just normal attacks?

Vindictive, like anything else that deals damage but isn't an attack or a spell, deals Special damage, so is resisted by Damage Resistance (Special).

Fargore and I haven't discussed what would happen if two people with Vindictive (Special) started having an infinite damage loop, but I'd be tempted to say that Vindictive can't be Vindictived back.

And Defender pulls attacks, not damage. So it only works against regular attacks.

Magic Shield is just your party, not you.

Fargore has been using Magic sheild to protect everyone though... perhaps you should consult with him...

he's done it with Players and with enemies.

if i use my dice for defense, and someone attacks me twice, do i apply the defense roll to both attacks, or just the first one?

Also, in the same light, if you have more than one attack, and you use your dice for attack, do you apply your dice roll to the first attack or all? From what I've seen, you roll a dice for each...

So does that mean that if someone attacks you alot, do you roll a dice for each defense?

Sorry, i'm not really a "COMBAT" type character, my magic and all. i just wanted to know for future reference.

question of timing....

ok so heres the scenerio.... (spellcheck that O_o)

first round, i blast an enemy mage(liutenant) with stunbolt, who in turn uses stun bolt on me.

If my stunbolt stuns him, he no longer has a chance of stunning me?

and if mine fails, then his goes through correct? Though to little effect, since mine didn't work already... though it would stop me from performing any additional actions or spells.

Oh, thats another good point. Say you have speedy whatever, does stunning stop only one action or spell or ALL actions and spells. Is that the same if you have the Battlemage (the thing that lets you use an action and spell in a turn.)?

Yes. Regeneration 1, You would heal 1 hp per turn.

Every time you would put another point into it, it would go up one. Much like my good friend Firu!

Oh yeah... are you gonna help us take on the black dragons?

sure
do I have to retype my character sheet in the page or is there an easier way to copy it?
And if I take regeneration how do I get them to change it on my character sheet?
PostPosted: Sun Jun 17, 2007 1:40 pm

PM FARGORE or GC, and they can update your active character, in the active adventurer's thread. And yeah, when they update that, just copy and paste that into the thread needed. (Remember to please adjust any stats modified by items carried. and only put the items you are bringing into the dungeon, since you cant change mid dungeon.)

If you don't want to PM them, may a request thread im themain guld forum, that way they will set it next time they log in. smile

Check and see how i did it... just something short and simple.

If you get multiple attacks and apply your combat dice towards damage, you roll your combat dice independently for each attack. Regardless of how many attacks you get, you only roll once if you roll for defense. You still only roll once if you get attacked multiple times.

Stunning stops you from doing that type of move, period. Attack, or action/spell right now. Though with the addition of the extra cast/act skills, I think the stuns will be re-written to remove your free cast/action, and allow you to spend your 2 AP or 2 MP to cast one if you have the proper ability.

So if they get a stun off on you, you aren't acting unless you have the proper ability, and if you DO have the proper ability and decide to stun them... Well, the oddity of having turns happen at the same time is going to result in Fargore and me having to figure out what exactly happens. mrgreen

The instructions say to indicate in the last post in your dungeon thread what you are spending your point on. If you didn't get a chance to do that, PM the DM who ran your dungeon.

Okay, Fargore and I have talked and decided that if you are stunned and made unable to cast a spell or use an action, the only spell/action you can take is to hit the person who stunned you with something capable of stopping them from casting or acting. Not very useful unless your spell/action also does damage, or if they can use multiple spells/actions.
