Richard offered the drow a nod, listening respectfully. "Well...I intend to finish my task..." He said in English, then looked down at Crystal as she spoke. "No problem at all mi'lady, I am only glad you are unharmed." Then he smiled faintly at the other comment. "Thank you." He turned his attention to where they were going, almost as a defense against other thoughts. Remembering his map, Richard spoke again. "There will be a fork in the tunnel ahead, we will need to take the left path. As for you sir..." He said, looking to the drow. "My name is Richard Savarell, and you are welcome to join us, but we are traveling to the the nearest Drow city. Above ground is where we have come from already."

"Wait, wait, wait, what are you looking for?" Draze asked rubbing his eyes a bit.
The drow groaned at how his eyes hurt him so.
"I can't even tell if you guys are Drows or not, but I don't think you are by the part you haven't killed me, and the fact they are after you." Draze was trying to get his head on strieght. "So if you are human I need you to help me out. I can distract the other Drows easily...If I can see....Sorry this might take a bit." He growled.
Being half Drow made it so his eyes could ajust better, however Draze was completly cought of guard. If only he could go back in time and fix it. He growled again.

Lady Crystal looked to Richard to answer the man. He was still an unknown and she didn't trust him, especially since he seemed to be at odds with the people that Richard and her had come to study.

Richard watched the way he was going, frowning ever so slightly. He fielded the human question easily, speaking again. "And what is it you need assistance in? I have not come to war with the drow. I have come to learn from them. About them. If you merely want out of the Underground, I can guide you once this task is over." He turned down the correct tunnel, thinking. Crystal was not speaking, and he could guess accurately why. "You have not told us your name stranger."

Lady Crystal kept her silence and remained close to Richard as they continued down the corridors. Noticing how effective the spell from earlier seemed to be against the man, she secretly began preparing another one, should the need arise.

((Oh~~~ I think I like this Crystal person...*Grins*)) Richard paid no heed to the drow after another turn, quite surprised to see he was standing in a cave, looking out at what could only be the drow city. He could see purple torches here and there among the stacilites and rock that made up buildings, along with ones made of small stones. A great tower seemed to keep the place dimly lit, but Richard knew the inhabitants of the city could see it perfectly. Richard was glad to finally be here, but he had to get both himself and Crystal to the appropiate inn, so that she could disguise them if she could, and so he could prepare his full defensive spells again. Not to mention, that blasted wall had hurt his heart somehow, and he needed to rest. He looked to Crystal again, offering a genuine smile. "We are here My Lady." He said, using the proper respect and deference to her title in the presence of the part drow.

Lady Crystal gazed upon the city with awe. "It's more fantastic than I could have thought," she said softly, her eyes filled with wonder as they fell upon one of the purple torches. Her mind was buzzing with questions, but she held her tongue for now, still holding onto the readied light burst should it become necessary.

((Okay Mr. Miles person...I am now ditching you for a bit...terribly sorry for this sudden development.)) Richard seemed to sense this, having taught for so long that he knew a question when he saw one. The half drow he could not help yet, though he would certainly do so later. Crystal did not trust him and Richard himself knew nothing of the lad's origins, so it was time to say good bye for a bit. His interests were in Crystal's comfort after all. "If you wait for us...Perhaps when we are returing to the surface you may join us, if you like. For now, I descend into the city." He gave the fellow an easy wave and smile, reaching into his pants pocket to withdraw a small pin. One of the surface drow had given it to him. "If you'll excuse me mi'lady..." He said softly, carefully wrapping an arm around her waist, then simply stepping off the edge of the cave. They were floating for a moment, then Richard made a controlled, slow and easy descent. He had practised with the drow on the surface, so he knew how to work the thing. "And here, My Lady Crystal," He said softly, quite happy with everything. "Is where we begin."

Lady Crystal clung to Richard tightly as they were suddenly floating down into the city. "Where are we going first?" she asked once they touched down, pulling away only slightly.

"I see neither of you are very smart." Draze stated. "My name is Draze. I'm a half drow not of this....Time if I may." He stated. "either way I know already that theses Drows don't seem to like half drows, humans, or any other race other then Drows themselfs." He stated.
(It's okay sorry about me being gone finals and all I have 2, and I'm done studing for them. I'm pretty prepared but I'll still look at the material)
His vision restored.
"I guess being down here for so long effected my sight, well then again a full human would even be blinded for a period of time I supoose. That spell would be handy against any Drow if it efffected me, and I'm only half Drow. What do you care to know of the war like Drows anyway? Their poisens, spells, combat styles, handed down spells?" Draze asked curiously.

((He can't hear him Miles...))Richard let her go and slid his pack off his back, going through it again. "Well, to an inn first, which is a short walk into the city, then a right and it'll be the third building on the left side. I need to prepare some things for our exploration of the city. Not to mention...we've been traveling for a few days, and a tent is not as comfortable as an inn." He drew out two shapeless robes, both dark green. He handed the smaller one to her, smiling softly. "We'll have to be part of the crowd for a bit, at least until we are in our next place of rest. I'm sure you are weary mi'lady." He pulled his on over his pack, the hood over his face. He was Richard the wanderer again, but this time he had company. "And after that, we will explore the city. Learn what we can and what interests us."

"I will be fine," Lady Crystal said, donning the robe he handed to her. "Don't let your concern for me to slow you down." She pulled the hood up and attached herself to Richard's arm again, one reason beeing so she wouldn't lose him in the crowd.

((...Miles...you do not entertain me...first off, he would have had to fall off the dang ledge to chase after them, as they floated down with a house insigna. Second, your char is going to tick Crystal off perhaps, and I would not suggest doing that. Richard would not appreciate it.))
Richard nodded. "To be honest, Crystal...I need to rest for an hour or so. That wall was a bit more than I could handle easily." He admitted, not liking to fail her, but not wanting to go exploring without being fully prepared to defend both himself and Crystal. "I promise we'll be out and about again as soon as I restore some spells. Please forgive it." They were closer to the city now, finally in a crowded district, slums. Richard made sure to keep a close eye on Crystal at all times, as he felt too numb to trust his sense of touch. They passed service orcs and lower class drow, all going about their business, averting their eyes from everything. If anyone thought two robed figures was odd, they did not spare a second glance.

"I just don't want to slow you down,' Lady Crystal said softly, casting a catisously curious glance at each person they passed.
