Equis looked down at her as she asked him to escort her out of the Swamp. he didn't answer right away, instead he glanced up at Jedrek, narrowing his eyes softly, as if the light was getting to him again.
with a smirk he turned his attention back on Calypso "of cource I will"
getting to his feet, he took a couple of steps forward, pausing to wait for her.
Jedrek watched the two until a decision was made. still waiting for them to start walking. he heading toward the end of the Swamp.

Calypso smiled widely and jumped to her feet, trotting quickly to step beside him and walk. She made sure to go in the direction Jedrek was, but took her time walking. Equis had her full attention, for now.
"I do hope that Jedrek didn't frighten you too badly..." She grinned up at him, fin-hair falling over her eye as she walked gracefully.

Equis laughed "you'll find that I don't frighten easily. but it was...surprising" he tilted his head, staring forward at Jedrek.
"quite... and unpleasant beast. why do you find him so appealing?" he had to work extra hard to keep his pace down, being so large, he covered more land then she did in a single stride, and with no effort.

She paused for a moment, thinking about her answer. "It's not that I find him appealing. Honestly.. I find him revolting, and truely disturbing. But... He is one of a kind. There is no one else like him... He's like me, truly unique.. Even if we are on different ends of the spectrum... We are the same."

he was starting to dislike Jedrek even more now. something like that? could honestly earn the respect of someone like Calypso? he was starting to go back to the evil spell theory.
"ah I see..." he gave her a comforted smile "so then, you must be pretty close to him."
at this point he was just picking around, seeing where everyone stood.
he had a feeling that if he just let her walk out of the Swamp with Jedrek, with out even trying. he would probably never see her again.

"Close..? Well... Not really. I mean.. I've only known him for a week or so. But we're... I suppose you could say friends. As he said, we notice when the other isn't around." She grinned up at him, his reactions amusing her. Was he jealous? It was a good possibility... She chuckled softly, turning her head to look forward at the trail ahead, Jedrek walking through the trees far ahead of them.

the chances that Equis was jealous were very high. and it only made it worse, that he was feeling jealous over a walking corpse!
dark eyes glancing down at her, he followed her gaze over to Jedrek, eyelids narrowing. that thing defied the laws of nature.
Smoothly he put his smile back on, looking down at Calypso,
"so, is you're home.. this Candy land far?"

"No.. it's not that much farther." The swamp around them was slowly becoming brighter and less dreary, the smell of coffee becoming fainter.. Like coffee that had more cream in it than the actual brew. "I don't think you'll like it though.. Most coffees dont, just as much as candies hate the swamp..." She seemed to walk a bit perkier as she got closer to her home.. "So, you can turn back whenever you're uncomfortble.. I wouldn't want to.. burden you." She batted her eye lashes at him, grinning softly.

"no burden" he said, though his eyes where nearly closed, shielding them from the steady increase in light. who knew how painful light could be.
"but already I'm starting to understand what you mean, though its a shame we must belong in two opposite worlds. I have to admit, I would not object to seeing you again."

"Oh?" She paused, stopping to gaze up at him curiously. "Is there.. a reason?" She smirked, head lilting and a thin paw raising to brush her fur back behind her ear. She more than likely knew the reason... But she was an evil tease, and wanted to hear him say it.

he paused as she did. turning his body to better face her, a sly smirk on his face as she asked him for a reason.

She might have blushed... if she wasn't used to people saying things like that. It did flatter her though, making her smile and look away in an acted form of shyness. "Aren't you just too kind..." She grinned and glanced at him, eyes narrowing to slits slightly, blinking at him slowly. "I have to be honest... You intrigue me as well."

he continued to grin at her, head bowed, eyelids mostly closed, open just barely enough to be able to see her colors. stepping closer to her he sat down, lowering himself a bit
"lets say you ditch the stiff" he said in a low voice. as to not get the attention of Jedrek.
the Zombie had stopped walking, sitting completely still as if waiting for them to catch up.
"I'm sure the Swamps not so bad once ya get used to it."

The delighted grin slowly turned sour. She should have known he'd want to leave, and her plan for keeping both of their company wouldn't work. She turned to gaze at Jedrek who was sitting away from them. He was waiting for her. The very... very small concious that Calypso had was tugging at her brain silently. Telling her that she should just go with Jedrek. Equis meant nothing to her, he was just another male that amused her. He was more special than others she had met, but still... She held more feelings for Jedrek. He was the only one on her level, truly worthy.
But... Jedrek didn't faun or compliment her the way Equis did. She bit her lip, pondered for a moment more... then shooved the angelic voice into the pits of her subconcious. She smiled up at Equis and nodded. "Well I can't promise I'll like the swamps... But I suppose I could stay a bit longer."
She knew Jedrek wouldn't be upset for her leaving. He never got upset. She'd just catch up to him later...

pleased with her decision. he glanced once again towards where Jedrek was sitting, feeling a swoop of victory, he turned back to Calypso.
"I'm honored, truly" he said. holding a claw out to gesture back into the swamp "shall we walk then? perhaps we will find something a Candy would find... enjoyable here"
