"You want to get me something to drink?" Julian had heard Natsuki perfectly, but what he questioned was more why she would offer such a thing rather than had she indeed offered it. He frowned lightly, not just a bit concerned for the girl's mental state if she allowed other people to tread on her like that so easily. In a small, inconvenient way it reminded him of Chloe, and vaguely he wondered just how well the two knew each other. Perhaps females learned behavior patterns by osmosis during their group trips to the restroom.
His gaze lingered quite bluntly on the woman's slightly flustered expression even as she tried to will it away. "What do you think I want?"
The words were not meant to be either seductive or charming, but merely to the point. A moment later and his attention was caught by a girl named "Mouse" who apparently knew of Gage. Poor thing on both accounts.
"I highly suspect he is avoiding one of our guests of honor." Roux, of course, since the doctor and Chloe were no real threat to the Frei's existance. Julian felt no need to make the specification verbal.

`Natsuki "It's a pleasure to meet you both, Mind if I call you Isi and Eiry? Those names are beautiful, but I'll never remember them," Natsuki smiled apologetically, before turning her attention to Eiry. "No need to be afraid. It's a party, and hopefully, it'll be enjoyable for everyone. Want to hit the pinata? I'll show ya how its done."
Natsuki walked over to the pinata, and plucked up the blindfold. She was determined to get a couple of smacks in before she gets innandated with song requests. Picking up the bat, she spun around several times, trying not to fall over in her high heels, while aiming for number 64!
"Yosh! Here goes nothing!!" She called, taking a swing at the pinatas. Surprisingly, she made contact, slicing the neck, but not cleanly through. Natsuki looked up and sighed as the head simply dangled by the rough of its neck. Isi smiled at Natsuki and he assured her, "Yes, yes, those names are fine. It's a pleasure meeting you too! So, this pinata looks fun, but I don't think I could have a swing at it." The crippled boy indicated the crutches strapped to his arms and he glanced back up longingly at the pinata. "That was a good hit, though! Perhaps I'll get Eiry to-" Turning around, Isi suddenly realized that Eiry had drifted off. He watched the young frei approach the man called Julian and Isi winced as he watched them interact. "Mr. Sweet?" Eiry asked gently as he sidled up to the orange haired man, even when he was in conversation with another. Eiry hadn't learned most of his people skills yet, so he didn't know it was impolite to intrude on another's conversation. He looked hopefully at him and fluttered his wings, "Where's Gage? Is Gage coming too?"

Amaris wouldn't admit it, but she'd been keeping her eye on the Lab. The Lab where Gage came from. Gage was cool, but he only had half a body and he was green and decidedly stiff. Stiff as a board. Stiff as the stick up Cain's a**, she thought to herself. Yes, that was quite a good comparison, except Gage possibly couldn't be that stiff or else he'd be blown over every time she breathed. Ha. Hahaha.
So when she heard news of some sort of birthday party, she'd gotten dressed one of her nicer blouses and a skirt and thrown something in the box as a gift (what exactly it was, she wasn't quite sure of) and departed for the address. She was feeling rather hesitant about it until she had seen the green Raevan himself on the street, and, um, maybe followed him there. A little.
Okay, that was kind of creepy. But it was cool now! Now she could interact with other people, and maybe there would be more green disembodied people. That'd be pretty rad.
She pushed open the door and was immediately cowed again. There had better be many Gages here.

Mouse looked very long at the dejected Roux before responding to Julian: "That one, you mean? He doesn't seem very aggressive, so maybe the one you're looking after will show up sooner or later. Then again, I barely know anything about your or any Raevan, so I can't judge."
She felt both slightly sorry for Natsuki and a little amused at their exchange. It was obvious who was the dominant personality around here, in any case, whether that was a good or bad thing.
The arrival of Eiry brought about a happy expression of surprise and intrigue, even though one of his wispy wings brushed the back of her neck as he floated by to speak with Julian. That felt like the indescribable softness of chinchilla fur combined with a sudden cool breeze, except it seemed to penetrate the skin.. Not the most welcome sensation, but it was worth seeing a Raevan up close - her facial expression quickly went back to somewhat inert as she pieced together in her mind how this one might have been made. However, she was not about to overreact and barrage with questions or anything of that matter; instead, she asked, "Gage is the name of the other green Raevan, then?"

"O-Oh.. Th-Th-Thank you... u-uhm.. n-no thank you. W-Well maybe water..?" She looked up at We'rika with a small, nervous smile.
She glanced around, frowning sadly toward Roux. He was so... not himself lately. His wings were completely bare and he didn't even have the mind to try and cover them anymore.. he just looked at himself in the tiny shard of mirror.
She plucked her lip slightly. Despite the party atmosphere she was still a little pre-occupied with her current woes.
Parfait, the small Gwee that had been nested in Chloe's hair, had now woken up and was looking around the room in a mixture of alarm and excitement. She gave a small "Aryah!" and fluttered from her high perch to the more comforting one on Chloe's shoulder.

"I think you want to get liquored up and make a move on a hot girl, in some vain attempt to pretend to enjoy something for once," Natsuki said in a drole tone, realizing the conversation was spiraling in completely the opposite direction from which she intended. Taking notice of Chloe's attire, her brow quirked in the anticipation of a challenge. Shrugging her shoulders, she strutted by him, shrugging her shoulders. "Unfortunately, I've got work to do."
Turning on her heel, she rolled her eyes tot he ceiling, feeling rather disappointed. What better way to bounce back from a shaky encounter than a make over! Walking over to Chloe, Natsuki laced her arm through her friend's "Now, my dear, being the guest of honor, you are going to get one of my special makeovers," Natsuki giggled, leaning her head on her friend's vacant shoulder. "I brought some stuff, and its in the other room. I am sure you'll look great in it! If that's okay..."

Chloe gave a small blink of surprise as Natsuki walked up beside her. She was extremly pleased to see the woman, but... "A w-w-what? Oh.. A-Alright, yes." She gave a small, nervous nod as she looked down at herself. She -could- use something a little more.. apropriate. Dusty, sooty clothes were hardly something one should wear to a birthday party.

"Ya I can do tha'..." The shaman left Chloe in Natsuki's care and went back to his original spot behind the bar. Since Natsuki was keeping her attention, he supposed Chloe really didn't need her drink yet and so he fixed one for himself. Grabbing a larger glass, We`rika poured a bit of coconut rum and filled the rest of the glass with coke. He idly sipped on the sweet concoction as he watched the party goers converse. Maybe Ravi would come over. Maybe he could get the guy drunk.

The dark-haired woman's attention snapped back towards Chloe as she heard a familiar cry. Alex grinned, pleased that the receptionist had brought along her little Gwee. However, when Natsuki drew Chloe out of the crowd and the Italian got a good look at the pink-haired woman, her grin slipped and darkened. She'd driven by the Lab, and had seen the destruction, but Chloe's clothes...was she IN there when it collapsed?
Alex hid her frown behind her cup, her narrowed and watchful eyes peering over the lip. She'd have to speak with Chloe later, to make sure everyone was okay, and see if there was anything that she could offer to help with. As it was, Dr. Kyou's gift was nearly moot, a sort of gag-card that would take a different meaning with the loss of the Lab. She'd already included a short note with it, but the loss of the Lab was still a sore spot to most of the people here. Alex reminded herself that this was a celebration, regardless of what had happened. She plastered a grin on her face, for the sake of Chloe and what she'd gone through; she recognized the toothy long-earred man as he walked by, which reminded her of better times at that fated fair. It helped soften her smile and her outlook into something slightly less brooding.

Ravi's eyes rolled over the crowd that had gathered. He felt a growing sense of irritation, but he couldn't determine the cause of this feeling. Everyone seemed to be milling about happily, including a few Raevans that had made their way into the apartment complex's lobby. No disaster had occurred to disrupt the preparations which had been made. Perhaps it was the noise, or the number of bodies in the room; though no sociopath, Ravi liked his personal space and quietude. Nonetheless, he had promised to act as a sort of host for this celebration, and so he would. His stomach fluttered a little when he thought of the Dr. Kyou walking in through the doors of the apartment complex - perhaps he was merely impatient. He should have greeted Chloe once she'd come in, after all - but, well, such thoughts were pointless, and outside of making his mind ache, Ravi was starting to feel thirsty.
He made his way to the bar being manned by We`rika, only hoping that something nonalcoholic sat on the shelves. "If you could get me some... water," he decided, leaning slightly on the countertop. Then, feeling he should add more, he did so: "At least everything is going as planned so far, eh?"

Leaning his face on a palm, We`rika looked up form his glass and smiled devilishly at Ravi.
"Hey b***h..." His hand started for a glass, but was denied as the young warlock made his request. "Water? Tha' is a popular drink t'nigh'... C'mon ge' somethin' more excitin'! I wanna mix somethin' uuup!!" He knew his whining didn't have any affect on Ravi, but it was such a hard habit to break. Instead, he put his disappointment to good use and tossed Ravi a bottled water.
"Yeah i' looks like is goin' pretty well, ya? Me' anyone ho' t'nigh'?"

Isi, now left alone in the crowd next to the pinatas, sucked on his lips and looked around. There was music playing, people were arriving, friends were visiting and who knows what other chaos. The keeper glanced once over at Eiry's direction and watched over him for a couple minutes as he waited beside a lady he had never seen for Julian's response.
The crippled boy sighed and looked to the door. His brother wasn't here yet...Who knows if he'd actually make it. He had a lot of work to do at the restaurant lately...
Turning his attention back to the pinatas swinging nearby, the crippled boy felt an unsatisfyable urge sweep over him. He couldn't put a blindfold over his eyes thanks to his crutches, but maybe it'll work if he just closed his eyes and swung with his crutch...?
SO CLOSE! Isi opened his eyes and sighed sadly as the stubborn pinata held on by an INCH. He felt some frustration built up within him but it was quickly stopped for someone else had just entered the party...

It was only less than a week after the laboratory exploded, Kyou wasn't exactly in the mood to attend parties. But how could he refuse the invitation of a bunch of sweet people that held this surprise birthday party for him? It was just unlucky for Kyou to have the lab exploded so near to his birthday. His hair was in horrible shape, he had tried his best to use the best shampoo, conditioner and hair care products to save it. But his efforts were fruitless so far.
Standing in front of the mirror, he tried his best to stuff his afro hair into the largest hat he could find - a chef hat. But he was failing, as the large amount of hair just refused to be stuffed into the hat, sticking out in odd places. It looked rather comical on top of his head, also mismatching with his shirt.
Groaning in defeat, he left it as it be and left Tsu's apartment without even asking Lazarus along. Ever since the explosion Kyou had refused to talk with Lazarus at all. He still blames Lazarus for the explosion, although he knew that he didn't meant for it to happen.
The elevator clicked to a stop at the appropriate floor stated on the invitation, and Kyou straightened up his back so that he wouldn't look too depressed. After all the s**t he went through for the past few days, he damn well deserve some feel good time. Maybe a little alcohol would help. He thought glumly as he stepped towards Julian's apartment.

We`rika's complaints usually left Ravi on the verge of a Hulk-like transformation (psychologically speaking), but tonight the slightly frustrated man actually loosened up rather than frowned. A rather wicked looking grin spread its way across his features as Ravi caught the water that We`rika had tossed his way, proud that for once it seemed that Ravi was the one exercising some level of control over the Huichol.
When We`rika mentioned meeting people, Ravi shrugged slightly and turned around to face the room once more. Same people, same faces... but a new figure had appeared at the apartment complex doors, and he had not gone unnoticed by Ravi. Unintentionally answering We`rika's question, Ravi took a step forward, murmured, "Kyou...!" and made his way to the man responsible for all of them being here together.
