The suspense is killing me!! It's taking all my self control not to dive straight to a torrent site and download the whole series... ... it's definitely got to be important, I agree with Ceribri. I'm hoping its either something to with more regenerations or more Time Lords. And for the last time, he needs to get a girlfriend. Whaat?? I never said anything about him needing a girlfriend! stressed @Lullabee: Yeah, ads on Gaia. I get them too. Very annoying at times. Where'd they come from? They just pop up! ... nah I mean I keep on saying he needs a girlfriend... Time Lord or not, the guy must be getting pretty lonely. ...and then he met me! heart mrgreen Nah, anyways, if he had a girlfriend...it would just mess it up since he's already told Rose that (companions in general)..well he can't spend his whole life with them 'cuz humans die and he won't...plus they'd have to find one actress who doesn't mind being typecast 'cuz she'd be around for a long long long time.... sweatdrop (OOH! Pick me pick me!) rofl And me pick me pick me pick me...... ... and ignore the fact that I probably can't act... I see your point, but she'd really only have to be on for a series, maybe even less, depending on when David leaves. That is, if she's a Time Lord. They could kill them both at the same time, so when they regenerate... you just grab a bunch of new actors. I don't know... I just think he should. Well....erm.. I suppose you could do that, but it would be cooler to have them regenerate at different times just so it's not obvious that they wanna get new actors...

Nono, no procreation, ... besides, aren't Time Lords sposed to be infertile anyway??
And not settling down or anything, she'd have to travel with him in the TARDIS and have some crazy adventures. But see- this is where the problem is, personality wise I think she should be similar to the doctor, but a tad different. And there aren't really... Time Lords like that. If there are any left at all. But then he definitely won't want to get with a human because of the whole... Time Lord thing. confused
But really, wouldn't you agree that he needs one? Just like Catherine Tate said in the X-mas special... to stop him, kind of.

Well yes, obviously, if he had kids and he was born, not created (as we kinda assume, ... it's rather ambiguous) ... point is, if he got with another Time Lord, then ... well. Still nothing would happen. Unless that certain Time Lord was also different. Which would be cool, but not in ... that sense. Well you never know, maybe the Doctor could choose not to have a kid because his current lifestyle isn't really that great for raising one. And he can't really settle down... the universe needs him too much! Well, Earth does, anyway...

I don't know why he can't just do that. ... but then... slight problem- when they are created, I assume they don't have any memories or knowledge or anything? ... I don't know. Confusing. But if they didn't it would be kind of complicated because.... well yeah, obvious really, they wouldn't know anything. Ah, excuse my ignorance, but did we ever get told who (or what) created the Time Lords in the first place?

Just my two cents-- if he did end up with a Time Lord girlfriend, I'm pretty sure they'd actually kinda want to avoid having kids. Or at least, if kids happened, it'd just be for the sake of having a family. Because you're not going to repopulate a species from two individuals having children. It worked for Noah and the ark, I guess, but...
Really. No. Wouldn't work. I'm not going any further. xp
If they put together a Loom or something, that might work. It might. A species repopulated from a machine made of string and chewing gum and spare parts might start feeling kinda sorry for itself, but... Or perhaps he'd actually go to all the bother of making a Loom that doesn't look pathetic.
Then again, you'd think he'd have thought of it if it was at all possible.
